Sweetness......so now I, and countless other drooling creeps, can finally begin stalking Ms. Kate Hudson.....
more accurate?
I may be a creep occasionally, but you will never see me drool..........and all I need is 5 minutes with her and she will be wooed and swept right off her $4,000 Manolo Blahniks
meh drool... sweat... whatever... either way you\'ll probably be far wetter than she will ;)
damn....does she have to grab a step stool when she slaps you like that? ;)

Kate Hudson and Chris Robinson are splitting up after nearly six years of marriage, said her publicist, Brad Cafarelli.
``Kate Hudson and Chris Robinson have confirmed that they are separated,\'\' Cafarelli told the Associated Press on Monday.
The couple married in 2000. They have a 2-year-old son, Ryder Russell Robinson. Hudson, 27, is the daughter of Goldie Hawn. She was nominated for a supporting actress Oscar for her role as rock groupie Penny Lane in 2000\'s ``Almost Famous.\'\'
Her screen credits also include ``You, Me and Dupree,\'\' ``How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days\'\' and ``The Skeleton Key.\'\'
Robinson, 39, is the lead singer of the Black Crowes.
The singer\'s representative, Todd Brodginski, told the AP he had ``no information to report.\'\'
Now I can understand why Chris was such a dick @ Mohegan...

just got home from the casino, ended up about 6th row, snuck down after robert randolph, i had a great time last night, up 200 going in to the show
i thought the show was good, but NYE was better imo, it\'s only the second time i saw them, but i thought they were rocking
-
Worst Crowes show I\'ve been to by far, but I\'ve seen enough great ones (including Brothers of a Feather in Brooklyn this year) that I\'ll keep coming back.
It\'s not the 1st time I\'ve witnessed Chris talk some **** about fans throwing stuff- Further 7-4-97 was memorable. Normally it\'s reactionary and sarcastic, but this was delibrate (sp?)and not the least bit humorous. It was almost like he changed his mind about what he wanted to say in the middle of it. It just reflects poorly on him when he\'s really a nice guy. I\'ve dealt with him while working at Toad\'s and he\'s gracious and very social witht the venue staff (all the Black Crowes are). I even saw them @ Richters after a coliseum show. They bought this guy a drink after he mentioned it was his birthday and he had gone to the show to celebrate. That\'s why I cringe when he acts like a dick on stage.
-
They seemed to be plagued w/ sound issues since they\'ve gotten back together.
- When I saw them open for T.Petty, Chris lost all vocals for paint an 8
- A friend who saw them on NYE said their sound was horrible
- Now this news about last night.
C. Robinson has been challenging fans to fights for the last 10 years. I actually love hearing him go off on tirades. I\'ve got a copy of a show where he yells, "why not throw something good like your car keys up here" (paraphrase). I believe that people throw stuff just to see if they can get him to fly off the handle.
-
I liked the show & thought it was decent..... but I didn\'t like Chris\'s final comment of the night - "I want to keep this on a positive note, so the chicken **** who just threw something at us on stage can meet me in the back" I mean, :wtf2: it\'s a show, get over it!!!
-
3. The performance was uninspired, and I think I noticed some in-fighting on stage. Rich Robinson started to play Hotel Illness, and then they kind of screwed around and went into Thorn In My Pride. Generously refered to as "jam" in the set list.this was cigarette break time for us...."the jam that went nowhere" :sigh:
4. Chris Robinson\'s guitar isn\'t plugged into a damn thing. saw a tech "looking" at it a few times.
5. Chris Robinson challenged a fan who threw something at him to fight backstage in a bizarre post encore rambling. Really awful immature way to end the show. yeah, after a *meh* performance of Willin\'
6. Rich Robinson\'s singing sounds alot like Ron Spears.
:that:
7. The sound mix was awful, and I was getting an echo off the back wall. it was LOUD, to say the least. I don\'t think that place was designed with sound in mind at all!!!
8. Not sure if the building sounds bad, or if it was the mix (1st time there), but all the amenities of the venue, from parking to concession lines/prices are absolutely the best I\'ve experienced. It puts the Meadows to shame.
:that: $6.50 margarita\'s that were actually really good!!!! They also employ about 11,324 people!!!
9. Robert Randolph is a straight up good time. unfortunately, we got there in plenty of time to witness his last song
10. At point driving home I thought the car was under water. got home about 45 seconds before all hell broke loose from the sky

10 thoughts:
1. Hey Rich- didn\'t see you. Hope you got there alright. Thanks again .
2. This set list was infinitly inferior to the A.C. show. I\'ve seen the Crowes 15-20 times and completely agree with Slim on his thoughts for that one. Greasey Grass River as an opener? Weak.

I\'ve probably seen the crowes 15 times. I gotta say, this set is so loaded w/ jewels it\'s fuckin\' ludicrous.
As they went from Under a Mountain into Fearless, I would have begun trembling. By the time they finished Sometime Salvation I would have been doing that Three Stooges, laying on the floor running in circles routine.
And with Wiser Time, the goon squad woulda been hauling me outta the place in a straight jacket, cause I was trying to beat people around me with my shoes.
-
they good seats?
-
Robyn won tix off Jambase. Soooo psyched!!!!!
-
wild i might have an extra, will not know until later tonight/tomorrow

So anyone got an extra ticket?

-
not until after the 4/23 ones go on sale, also look @ black crowes site for password for the TM pre-sale, it should be showing up in the coming days, i will post it here
-
Definately want to catch this show, any word on when tix go on sale or how much?
If you\'ve never seen the Crowes you\'re missing out big time, and w/ Robert Randolph?!?! Not to be missed.
-
I\'ll consider it...
-
i wasnt a big black crowes fan until i saw phil and friends @ oakdale with CR, that show led me to going to see Trey and the Black Crowes @ MSG for NYE which did not dissapoint, it actually went way beyond my expectations, if you havet seen the crowes live you should give them a chance, they are the definition of rock and roll! and CR he is prolly the coolest **** person on the planet
-
I personally have never been a Crowes fan either.
I however would like to see Robert Randolph just for the experience.
Something happened a year ago and my ambition to see large scale concerts went out the window. Might had been when I left my touring sneakers in Coventry. The only "big name" that I will probably see is Trey, other than that, I can get a great concert for 1/3 of the cost in any small club in America.
-
dude you started the thread this morning give it a minute......
I won\'t be there, not a huge Crowes fan, and I feel like RR is the same every time I see him
-
Black Crowes and robert Randolph @ mohegan and no one cares... BOGUS!

THE BLACK CROWES
WITH SPECIAL GUESTS
ROBERT RANDOLPH & THE FAMILY BAND
AND
DRIVE-BY TRUCKERS;
NINE-WEEK TREK ROLLS OUT JUNE 10 IN SEATTLE
On the heels of CHRIS and RICH ROBINSON\'s three sold-out nights of acoustic performances in New York City to ecstatic fans and lengthy standing ovations, THE BLACK CROWEShave announced a major summer headlining tour with their special guests Robert Randolph & The Family Band and Drive-By Truckers. Launching June 10 in Seattle, the nine-week trek will visit mostly sheds--including Jones Beach (New York), PNC Bank (New Jersey), Shoreline (San Francisco), Tweeter Center (Boston) and Cynthia Woods (Houston)--as it criss-crosses the U.S. into mid-August.
Each night of CHRIS and RICH\'s ?Brothers Of A Feather: An Acoustic Evening With Chris & Rich Robinson of The Black Crowes? has sold out within minutes after going on sale. The two-week trek--which marks the first time the brothers have ever performed full-length acoustic sets in their 16-year career--concludes April 26 in Los Angeles after a three-night stand at The Roxy. While in New York, CHRIS and RICH performed at three different venues: Warsaw, Rose Theater @ Jazz at Lincoln Center and Town Hall.
"\'Brothers of a Feather\' is certainly a sight to behold and a sound to endear. Although there are only eleven dates booked for the tour, if Friday\'s show is any indication, they will go down in rock and roll history as some of the greatest performances ever played," reports the Stony Brook Independent (4/15/06) about the brothers\' show at Rose Theater @ Jazz at Lincoln Center.
Meanwhile, the band\'s first-ever DVD FREAK \'N\' ROLL...INTO THE FOG roared out of the box, debuting at #2 on Billboard\'s Music Video chart. A film crew captured THE BLACK CROWES performing five sold-out nights at San Francisco\'s historic Fillmore Auditorium in August 2005. Writing in the SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE about one of the shows, Joel Selvin noted that "The Black Crowes never sounded better than it did Saturday at the Fillmore Auditorium, the peak performance of a sold-out five-night run...(the band) definitely staked a claim in these Fillmore shows as one of the last of the classic rock bands? (8/8/05).
Since reuniting and re-connecting with their loyal fans last year, THE BLACK CROWES have been performing what some called "the best shows of their career." While they achieved a career watermark by headlining their New Year\'s Eve show at Madison Square Garden, the band--Chris (vocals), Rich (guitars), Marc Ford (guitars), Eddie Hawrysch (keyboards), Sven Pipien (bass) and Steve Gorman (drums)--also played seven sold-out shows at New York City\'s Hammerstein Ballroom, performed five-nights at the Henry Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles and were headliners at three of the most prestigious festivals in America (New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, Bonnaroo, and Austin City Limits Festival). Summing up the allure of THE BLACK CROWES\' concert experience, Mikael Wood of The Village Voice (12/28/05) said the band "remain one of rock\'s best live acts, as hard-grooving as during their heyday and caked with an extra layer of rambling-man soulfulness."
