The only 3 I\'ve heard are Hot \'Lanta, Honey Butter, and Rufus. When Moxie came out, they played Honey Butter a lot. Now they don\'t. New album, anyone?

I remember I requested them to play the Breakfast covering Lawn Boy after the Freakout for live Phish hour, but that obviously didn\'t happen.

you have a toilet in your room?

I had my own bathroom at the time, yes. But I don\'t live there anymore.

did you just randomly hear it, or had you requested it right before it came on?

I randomly heard it. I have requested Breakfast several times on Sirius but I still rarely hear them. Once a year at this rate.

Damn...I F%$#ED UP.....But No one caught it???  Is anyone calling Sirius??????

The real phone number is 1-877-33 SIRIUS

CALL!!!   Leave a message....you don\'t need to be a Sirius subscriber to call.  It will help out the guys if they can get the play rotation like TLG (no like this band), Umphry\'s (yes..like), and some other bands that shouldn\'t even be on there.   They need the exposure....

Do your part and take like not even 60 seconds and make the call.

I called Sunday and left a message about Saturday night after reading about all the events on >INFO  (I\'m sure some others probably called also)  ....everyone should call.  It\'s all automated....just leave a message.   You don\'t need to be a SIRIUS subscriber to pick up the phone.

1 877 4 SIRIUS .....it will ask what station do you want to reach.  Hit  "17" (that\'s "Jam On")

then it will ask something about "hit 1 to request a song or 2 to leave a message"  Hit 2.... and leave a message.

Tell them "More Breakfast!!!"  Sirius is not big enough yet to have a huge staff.....my guess is Stef (or her intern) actually hears the messages

By the way.....This is Chris, Caitlin\'s Dad....I forgot to log her off and me on....But she also calls to get a different voice on the message machine....have everyone call.

Heard Honey Butter when I turned my car on this morning.. pumped me up.

Then at lunch they played Suzy Greenburg from Phish\'s 96 Halloween show, and after the song Stef Scamardo described the Breakfast\'s "9th annual Fonghoulish Freakout" and that the Breakfast covered Phish\'s Lawn Boy album over 2 sets. She then went into the encore about Gordon playing I will survive with a baseball mask on, and how Tim was dressed as Andy Kauffmans alter ego. She then said they played a raging version of Honey Butter>Hot for Teacher.

It\'s quite cool that these guys are getting some radio play!

Fantastic news!

An early, clear sign of Wolfman\'s "DIFFERENTIATION Promotional Tour"...

been calling a number of times the past few days, including last weekend.

as far as the sirius roll your own goes

well i have aleady have my five voice-recorded breaks. i sent them to sirius as of yet but have yet to hear anything back. they have probably already decided on who they would feature, but i did promote the fonghoulish freakout show in burlington, the TOT, and new keyboardistprobably will later tonight. still working on it and wanted to send the songs all at once, along with the breaks. so far i have only sent the voice-breaks and my choice of studio cuts.

also unsure of what the playlist will look like, but I\'d like feature some of their recent tour, and some studio tracks. Need to have songs chosen by this Friday, at the latest. Right now I sort of have a playlist, just need to finish downloading a live songs.

I know Sirius has Bonafide and Moxie Epoxy, so many of these tracks are from duece. not sure how much room i will have so that\'s why some of these live sets might need to be cut down.

any input would be helpful. doesnt fitz have his own breakfast show somewhere on the internet. most of the live stuff will probably either be cut short or run over. basically just need your guys input on what songs to feature.

Whats wrong with stef? the fact that she is married to warren haynes and only plays mule? yeah that kinda pisses me off too but i like warren and mule so i can\'t complain. however, i have never heard them play rufus and i listen to jam_on everyday to and from work, at lunch, and whenever i drive basically. what the hell, they need to play that **** during the day. and some other better tunes. rujah when are you planning on doing the roll your own?

RUFUS. 12 35 a.m. Just about to head out to the bar to listen to some local reggae, now I have to wait til it\'s over. And yes they played the whole cut, straight from Bonafide.  Definitely need to have them play more often. i love this ****. **** Stef Scarmardo.

So I am thinking about putting together one of those \'Roll Your Own\' shows that appear on Sirius Jam_On the first Friday of every month. Of course the show will consist of all Breakfast for the entire hour. With the addition of Matt, maybe the Sirius executives may actually play it. Probably going to mix a few live tunes and album cuts. Just wondering if you guys have any suggestions on what I should play in terms of live show tunes? When I finish I will try and figure out how to post it up on here. Thanks in advance for the help guys and let\'s help the jam band scene start to give the recognition this band DESERVES!

To be honest, I haven\'t heard much of the Breakfast on Sirius 17 Jam_On lately. I was lucky enough to hear a Honey Butter a few weeks back around 2 a.m.

Seem like that is the only time to catch the Breakfast, as I am right now listening to RUFUS at about 1:50 a.m. on Wedneday Night/Thursday Morning.

Looks like whatever us fans are doing seems to be working little by little. Keep it up. I just sent them an email telling them how I am a long-time fan and would love to hear more of their stuff, especially of their new album. I requested Psygn, The Late and The Great>Over Exposure, Tricky Ways, basically anything off new album. Also told them if they like Rufus, they should hear Buquebus. Sure was nice to hear this now I am going to bed.

But...did you request a specific song, or just A song off of the cd? All radio stations are run the same way...they pick one song from an artist and play nothing but that one song...until you hammer them to play another, IF you\'re lucky that is.

I haven\'t been hearing any breakfast on jam_on so I sent them an email and have been leaving messages the past few days requesting they play more moxie epoxy.  since then I have heard more breakfast than I was before but it is just Honeybutter.  don\'t get me wrong, I have no problem with honey butter, it rocks, but can\'t they at least play some other tunes. the good thing is they were listening to my requests and soon after were playing more breakfast.  maybe if more off sent emails or call them, sirius may just play some differents tunes.

just letting the moderator know there are two sirius jam_on/ moxie epoxy threads that should probably be merged.

you can\'t really be comparing the breakfast to the dead,

wether you call them the Grateful dead or just the dead everyone knows who your talking about.

Where as I dont\' think most people can differentiate between The Breakfast and Psychedelic Breakfast

It\'s one thing for a band who\'s potential has already been realized, but these guys are still climbing that hill

I know.  That doesn\'t make it right though.  It actually makes it worse.  So all they can do is just robotically program the name on the cd cover onto the screen.  You\'d think ONE person over there would know that a band they are playing on their station changed their name.  They are 2.5 years behind the times and the ONLY place still calling the band Psychedelic Breakfast.

Hi all.  Thought I\'d make my first post here in this thread.  I can see why the name situation is frustrating, but compare it to The Grateful Dead.  A few years back they changed the name to The Dead.  Should everything they have released prior to that point in time also be referred to as The Dead?

Someone mentioned why can\'t we send in some shows and they play songs from that.  As cool as Sirius is, it is afterall just a radio station.  And just like any other radio station, they will only play official releases due to copyright laws and such.

And I agree, Steff plays way too much Mule/Warren and Panic.  I don\'t listen to Jam_ON during her shift, I usually tune over to Howie.  :)

Thanks dude, good work!  Remember, this goes way beyond helping a few people who have Sirius hear new tunes.  This important for the band\'s success.  They\'re being portrayed as a southern-rock cover band to thousands of people because of Sirius.  And all that with a name they ditched 2.5 years ago.  It can\'t get any worse than this.  We need to put an end to this madness.  God, I wish they had never played that damn song now.

I have to go off here.  Driving home from the Phish movie last night, in a great mood, then Sirius slaps me with "Hot \'Lanta" off Bona Fide for the 50th time.  For 16 months they have been playing this song.  I almost chucked the Sirius off the side of the highway.

First of all, this song is a freaking cover.  Every other band on Jam_On, even the crappy bands that only ever get one song played, get an original.  This is the single worst song you could use to represent The Breakfast on any of their recorded material.  People from coast to coast now think that Psychedelic Breakfast is some sort of southern-rock Panic/Allman wannabes.  They might even think they\'re a cover band.

Second, this song features a sit-in.  20% of what you hear isn\'t coming from a band member.  I can\'t tell Timmy from Seth Yacavone some of the time, and I know what they sound like.  Most people do not listen to Tim or Seth Yacavone ever.  So again, they have no idea what The Breakfast is about from listening to this tune.

Third, the Sirius screen displays "Psychedelic Breakfast" whenever the song comes on.  OMG the goddam name change was 2.5 years ago already.

Fourth, they used to play Rufus, but I haven\'t heard it in a year since Stef Scamardo cut it off mid-jam one time; the only time I have ever heard a band cut off mid-jam on the channel.

How the hell did Hot \'Lanta become "the song"?  You mean to tell me there\'s not one track on Real Radio that\'s better than this?  After a year and a half, Sirius can\'t play something original that features actual members of the band and they can\'t figure out the band\'s proper name?  Who the hell is responsible for communicating to these people?  They don\'t respond to my messages, that\'s for sure.

*  *  *
P.S.  If the preceding information disturbs you, call 1-877-33-SIRIUS, then dial 17 for Jam_On and leave a message.  Request a song off of Real Radio or just read the above post out loud.  A year and a half of misrepresentation stops now!  Yeah!

Howie Shnee....the promoter who books The Lion\'s Den, Coda and other venues is a huge Breakfast supporter.  He.s been hearing Real Radio tracks on Jonathan Schwartz\'s show.  You might want to send him some love and tune him in a bit to show that we appreciate it.

the dj\'s probably just don\'t know or just don\'t care. Since Bona fide says it was written by psychedelic breakfast, they are going to introduce the song as being by whomever the artist is on the screen in front of them. Unless they actaully follow stuff and know that there was a name change, it will stay that way. (aka lazy) :sigh:

Alot of people don\'t realize it.

this doesnt sound too good for THE BREAKFAST, when Buddy Cage refers to The Breakfast as Psychedelic Breakfast.  I mean cmon they changed their name over 2 years ago but are still refered to as psychedelic breakfast.  maybe that is onoe of hte reasons why its appears so hard for the breakfast to establish a more wider fanbase, especially when they it seems as though they are 2 different band.  it  really pisses me off. i guess what i am saying is the ability to promote the band may be in need of a face lift.  in any case the breakfast are jamming on sirius in a few mins, im guessing it will be rufus.

I\'m telling you, it happened.  They always play long tracks by all sorts of bands and that\'s the only one I\'ve ever heard cut off.  What\'s their hurry?  It\'s not like there\'s any commercials to get to.

Jam_On drinks the weaksauce.  The only way Scamardo will ever play them is if it\'s HotLanta because guess what?  That\'s an Allman Brothers song and her husband, Warren Haynes, used to be in guess who?  The Allman Brothers!  It\'s a horrible track to chose because A) It\'s not even an original and B) It features more Seth Yacavone than Tim.  The one time they forced her to play Rufus (it\'s always the Bona Fide version), she cut it off right in the middle.  8 or 9 minutes into a 14 minute track, she just turned it off, mid-jam.  That\'s the only time I\'ve heard that happen on the station.  Keep leaving your messages.

i dont have a cell phone, but I send them emails nearly everyday.  although I have had some problems with my sirius radio, the adapter thing has shorted out twice.  the first time I was able to get it fixed and it cost me anything. hopefully I can get it fixed in a few days, I am going insane without it.

i said the exact same thing to Igzy lastnight when it came on.  i was sitting here and Stef said The Breakfast.  i was pumped to see Hot\'lanta pgo on and then it say PB.

grantyed it was released as PB but they should know to change it.  I have seen it say just "The Breakfast" for \'Rufus\'

well, you can thank Stef Scamardo for that.  She is Warren Haynes\' manager/wife.  thats why she plays all warren all the time. she is the worst. i write emails and call in to complain about how horriblwe shoe is to customer service and how she is doing an injustice to the station

ok. so i hadnt heardthe guys on Sirius for awhile.  i think i have requested \'Rufus\' at least once a day, everyday since the Daniel Street show.  havent heard them once.  the only 2 songs i have heard Sirius play is \'Rufus\' and Hot\'lanta.

how do we get soundboards to the people at Sirius or even get them Real Radio to play some tracks off of?  who is in charge of this?  we need to get them into regular rotation like Scarecrow Collection and Umelt have been for the last month.
