i\'m sorry about the shitty setlist this night. an $8 bottle of whiskey and a busy merch table the room over probably had something to do with it.
:point: Gavin, you turned the Temple Bar into Drunk Monk Bezerker Bar.
:sigh: Probably no video of these shenanigans, huh???
I promised that I would take a good collection of photos of all the moments of the tour. Well, I only took a dozen photos in 9 days. :sigh:
Have I taught you NOTHING?!?!?!
While listening to the recording, did you hear me yelling "who are you guys?" between songs? Jordan actually answered "we\'re The Breakfast" into the mic.
Absolutely caught it!....After D5: answer to your question: Tim: "I don\'t know"...Jordan: "We\'re The Breakfast...what are we gonna do...we\'re gonna rock-n-roll...can I get an Amen?!?!" Too funny!!!!!

I promised that I would take a good collection of photos of all the moments of the tour. Well, I only took a dozen photos in 9 days. Pretty weak on my part. The best piece of shenanigan nostalgia was probably that phone message you deleted. Hopefully Chris has some funny footage on his cameras.
It\'s just that at this very moment I\'m listening to Buquebus from 2006-03-27.....funny ****!!!

I was yelling that at every show. I was inspired by Freddie Wah\'s whispers of "who is this guy?" in response to the Shredding of T.Palms when I see him at the shows.
This was a very fun show for a Monday.

Bezerker must have been drunk when he called with this setlist.
Finally, a drunk Bezerker threatening to "quit the tour" (as opposed to getting kicked out of the van) provided comedy after the show ended.
:sigh: Probably no video of these shenanigans, huh??? Too bad Chris hadn\'t learned about "one day at a time" before heading west!! :duck: rotfl

SO just getting to listen to this. SOunds great Wayne. Ep 1 is **** AWESOME! So tight, sounds like this is where they started clicking for the night. The Chase almost sounded like a soundcheck compared to this(except for the middle 2 minutes). Definitely not a segue between D5 and DMB! HLH->SO is otherworldly!! Seemed a little rushed on the segue into SR? I wish they pushed that Space Oddity out there a little futher. Cool little drum solo to drop back into HLH. This second section of HLH could be the HIGHlight of the night. This is The Breakfast at their very best...total group improvisation, ahhhhhhhhh!
WHOAH!!! No Regret is MISSING from the setlist, what a **** segue from the end of HLH into NR, I cannot believe people forgot that!!! Not always a huge fan of this song, but this was PERFECT placement and such a smooth segue!!! HLH->NR, Buquebus...there is no segue. Cool Chris Fitz shout outs in the \'Buquebus\' section. Tim starts it off with saying that "This is a song of Deuce, about a fictional character, from the land of Blubladan." I am not even go to get into this \'Queeb, get this show NOW!!! Also a drumsolo at the end of that AMAZING Buquebus.
Beef Barley after Buquebus...and a VERY good version at that!!! Bezerker must have been drunk when he called with this setlist. What an impressive one-setter this turned out to be, I am glad that I listened.

That is some funny ****. What prompted him to say that? Anything in particular?

  Nice job! Send their e-mails to the band so next time they\'re out these guys know about it!!!
-
Props to Giavanna (and also some partial credit to Leith) for pimping the Breakfast to all the guys in the bar across the street before the show began. A few actually came to the Temple Bar for some face ownage.
I\'ve gotten emails from 3 of the guys I gave samplers to that night across the street and they all said, after listening to them, that I was right and that they should\'ve come to the show.
-
Hahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!! WTF was he thinking???????? He made it that far...and exceeded most all of our expectations.................
****, little punk ass newbie ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wonder how the B-Fam crew is doing after a 5 day run......??? I know that I would be WORTHLESS right about now!
Tried two of Leith\'s brownies and didn\'t return to a normal state till 24hours after ingestion.

Hey folks, my first post here..told a few of you at the show I would finally post something. .
Yeah, I was the one who urged you to post. After noticing the random dude who seemed to know all the lyrics, I had to find out who you were.
Right when a rainy Monday night in L.A. was looking likely to be classified as a doozie (no one was watching the two openers), a whole bunch of people came in out of nowhere and filled the dance floor in front of the band. Great show with lots of energy in the crowd.
The weird dude of the show (seemed to be the superlative to award at every west coast show) was the 50-something weirdo passing joints around all night. As I put down an empty beer glass on the stage, the dude picked it up and began to chug an empty glass - I guess he thought there was still beer in it.

Temple Bar is a cool club to see the band at (minus the expensive drink prices and venue charging Wayne to tape the with his own equipment).

there you go Maestro, PM me your address and you have one on the house!

If anyone has copies of this show, I\'ll gladly pay ya for one.
if a copy ever does surface, I\'ll glady burn you and send it your way, Maestro.
I\'ve got it here. I\'ll be tracking it and uploading it to LMA this weekend. I\'ll also probably start a BT.

rotfl Thanks for the smog clearing!!

So Wayne DID get a sbd patch? :hscratch:
No Gabe is under the wrong impression. This was cleared up later in the evening and he may not have been sober for that discussion.
fixed :chug:

this show was a great way to end the little run for me. Great energy, some ser-ass tranced out jams, and smiles all around. Wayne was taping, and was lucky enough to patch into the sbd- ( for a small fee of $40), and I\'m sure his recording will sound excellent.
got a Buquebus on the 1st night of the run and one to send me out with, so yeah i was stoked. can\'t get into more at the time, or i\'ll prolly flip out (still coping with coming back to the real world- ouch)

leith - no, unfortunately I never did end up buying Zone 1, i wish I had though. Have fun tonight guys, I wish I could have made this one too. Jobs are stupid, especially when they get in the way of the breakfast.
That setlist is still missing some stuff though isn\'t it? I was anything but sober, but I do remember more stuff before the encore.
Bummer, Zone 1 is insane.
Wish you could jet down for the show tonight. There may be something really cool planned. I don\'t know seemed to be in the air last night.;)
Anyway I believe the setlist is correct. The thing with The Breakfast is they tend to melt minds while playing so one may think more was played when really it was just The Breakfast engaged in an extended melting of synapses.

Hey folks, my first post here..told a few of you at the show I would finally post something. I had a ball at this show, so happy to see the breakfast for the first time since I moved out west. Hope I didn\'t bother you guys too much hanging around the merch table until they threw us out of the bar! The next west coast run has to include Vegas, if not though I\'d drive as many hours as I\'d need to catch a show. Nice meeting you guys, really hope to see you all again soon.
Did you ever end up buying Zone 1? Hope to see ya @ Winston\'s!!

Rev Hall in Troy had a cool Karn Evil 9.
ccarmiencke - every show turns into a throw down. I am sure that if the crowd brings the energy the band will supply the fuel. I expect it to go out on a high note. It was a last minute add to the tour, so I don\'t know how many people actually know about, but there are a few heads on the jambase calender.
-
They played an awesome version at the Redhook brewery in portsmouth NH. 10/7/05
-
ELP cover for an encore: I have no copies of the band playing this, how does it ususally sound? I agree with ME!, looks like a great tour, do you think they will end their west of the mississippi run with a serious throw down? I am taking my girlfriend to that show, she has never seen the band. I cant wait for her to get blown away! Holding out for some funky ****!
-
Space Oddity and Karn Evil 9 were very nice firsts for me.
Ron owns Karn Evil 9! One of my favorite covers. Glad to hear things are going well out there.
-
I wonder how the B-Fam crew is doing after a 5 day run......??? I know that I would be WORTHLESS right about now!
Runnin\' strong brother. Actually bummed Gabe had to bail back but we gained another tour rat Lee from Ohio. He saw them for the first time @ Ripplefest last year and was owned last night. He is on now through NM.
It is funny watching the guys each night just look@ us in disbelief @ the beginning of the show. Being part of the first extended Bfast tour that actually has fans following is something we all really are honored to be a part of.
Anyway last night was exactly what we expected of an L.A. show. Rock was the order of the night. From the openin\' of The Chase I knew it was going to be a night of rock.
Honeybutter ripped hard and the D5(Gabe request filled)was truly of the epic variety.
The HLH wich was as sick as it looks. Really just listen to it when it comes out. Words are worthless.
Buquebus was fun and yelling Rufus during the "Buquebus" parts(ala Walsh in Rufus yelling Buquebus) was fun as hell!
I love Buquebus but Team Rufus needs to fight back somehow!
Space Oddity and Karn Evil 9 were very nice firsts for me.

The setlist sucks. I mean, really, who would want to hear this ->
I: Episode 1 (Happy) > Honey Butter > Dimension 5 > Drunk Monk Bar > Space Oddity > Surreal Radio > Hard Luck Harry
I mean ****, hot damn. Then throw a Buquebus on to it all, WOAH! This train is rolling and fast. Should be a runaway train very soon.
Buquebus has a rotation play of 3-4 shows.
-
