all i know is that ill never be in the same car as zurflue, especially with cops and dogs around.
Yeah, cause Al Z decided to place a border patrol checkpoint along Interstate 8, complete with numerous cops and pot-sniffing pooches.

only from a HS Science Teacher...
see you tomorrow?

I hate certain dogs when they are trained against their will to sniff out GOOD ****..I feel like the police and milatary treat them like "slaves" ...in essence thats what they are doing! Those dogs evolutianary are not supposed to "sniff" out drugs! Those poor dogs are SLAVES and ABUSED!..the whole thing with dogs is that they have soooo maaaany more neuron receptors than we do...thats why they have such a better sence of smell than we do...

im sure i should discuss it here.

TLG\'s riding a nice hype buzz atm thanks to jambase etc. But since Iron Horse had about 1/2 as many people there for TLG than they had for Breakfast a month earlier, maybe I\'m not the only one who prefers a high energy show of sick musicianship to the kiddie-xanax-rock show Tea Leaf put on a few weeks ago.
To be fair though, I didn\'t actually see the whole show. I left after the first set.
How did you know every band that\'s played Fillmore is my favorite band ever? lol ... I may have hate but I got 10x as much love. Thats life.
To each his own. I do know this The Breakfast had a decent turn out in the West but, TLG has had a fantastic turn out, selling out at last count 7 of the venues they played this past month back east.
The Breakfast play the Iron Horse all the time and the last time there they could not get an official sellout, 2 people short I believe.
Sux for The Breakfast but TLG will take a 1/2 full place on the east coast where no one knows them and they hardly play.
Come On give me an argument that holds water. I mean if you did not like it fine. Just leave it at that. sheesh

I wasted like 10 bucks to see Tea Leaf at Iron Horse a few weeks back. I was surprised how lame they were in person, because I had a couple shows downloaded off archive.org that sounded pretty good.
The crowd consisted largely of pre-teens chowing down on bitter brain candy. TLG scene = weak.
Between the zero energy performance and the lame ass scene I wasn\'t impressed at all. Definitely not the fix I was looking for to hold me over while Breakfast was on the west coast...
:that: I agree with "hater" on this one... the crowd was mellow & boring, and the band was putting me to sleep. I was not at all impressed after all of the **** talked about TLG on this board. Next time, I\'ll pass so that I can relieve some pent up estrogen ;)
Not like a Breakfast sausage fest that HAS to have energy to release all that pent up testosterone.
This is what you meant right? Hater.
<---- see avatar for further inquiry ;)
Too bad you did not like them. Seeing as The Breakfast is your only real taste of jambands I can see how you may expect all bands to be fast and furious.
More room for dancing and AVAILABLE women if you do not go to TLG shows then. ;)
Yep Leith, that\'s exactly what I meant. Breakfast is my least favorite band ever and that TLG show was the best concert I ever saw, just to clarify.
Seriously though, they suck. Now that I have seen them live I can say that with authority.
Yeah OK
Yell it from the rooftops w/ that authority and myself and the other 2000 TLG fans will laugh at the futility of that yell while we get our jig on @ The Fillmore where TLG will be headlining this Friday.
Yeah The Fillmore totally lets bands that suck Headline.
Let go of the hate. Really

crowd?
Probably had a fraction of the energy of any of the recent Breakfast shows.
As for alZ\'s remark pfffft. Whatever Mr. ADHD.
Crowd at Breakfast show: fists pumping in the air
Crowd at TLG show: rubbing each others shoulders
Ok Breakfast show fist pumping because there is room to do so.
Shoulder rubbing @ a TLG show because it\'s packed.
alZ\'s energy @ a Breakfast show pales in comparison to front row ragers.
His energy @ a TLG show is nonexistent because he is clueless.

Some girl got pissed at me too, because she kept swirling around and whacking me with her arm and I just kept ignoring it. Apparently that was supposed to mean that I was supposed to move over. When I showed her my ticket stub and suggested she occupy some of the space in the back of the floor her boyfriend came out of hiding and copped an attitude.

Waaaa. The crowd sucked, so I transfered my lame anger @ them to the band which if I was paying attention was actually tearing **** up.

Well from reports it was a little over half full. Forum members that went said the crowd was into it and talking to a few locals were told the crowd was good for a Sunday and for a west coast band.

tlg still doesn\'t really do anything for me, however taught to be proud is a great song. I wanted to go to this, but I was already in placid. They were at snoe.down on saturday afternoon but I didn\'t get to see them. :(

so i went to see TLG last sunday.....I had to see them in a smaller venue as opposed to the first time i saw them at moe.down last summer......the show started slow, with pretty standard grooves. the sound was pretty good, the only real problem was that the vocals were a bit muddy and the guitarist was too low during the first set......i did manage to talk with the sound guy at set break and asked him to turn up the guitar a smidge.....it worked i think, because the second set was pretty hot......
i was able to grab the first set from the keyboardists keyboards at setbreak and then spent the second set rocking up front with the kiddies, one of which was keeping a setlist so i copied his second set......here is what went down.....
1: Money, Kali, Seeking, JBrown, 2 Chairs, Doin It, Rapture, Ride, Taught, Death
2: No Friends, Freedom, Country, 5K > Hot Dog, Cherry Red Guitar, One Room, Georgie Pete, Garden I > Garden II > Garden III
E: Morning Sun, Invasion
A great night indeed and I hope to catch these cats again in the near future.....
I was wearing my 05 Freakout shirt and was telling the guys that we (Todd and I) were fans/friends of The Breakfast.....The keyboardist was excited and told us to make sure to say hi to the band for them when they get back from tour......I thought that was mighty cool......
Leith, however....you still suck!
