LDZ was the first actual song I heard them play live. The opening sequence was LDZ > Attraction > GBFBITS > Vera St > Inner Glimpse so the first "song" lasted about 30 minutes
Although, I recently realized I was at Camp Creek 2001 but I have no recollection of seeing them. Does that now count as my first show? ;D
-
well one is Grand Scheme of Things and the other is THE Grand Scheme of Things
:duck:
That does it. I\'m never profiling you in Breakfast Digest again!

I made it away from the bar and actually noticed a band was playing right at the beginning of the second set. Double fisting some local chocolate brew and a Jim Morrison, I stumbled down to the front of the barn-styled dance floor. "This is fuckin insane!? What the hell is really going on?" I said to myself as NGNL ended and the boys opened Help in standard style. It was mayhem from then on. I think by the time I was lured out of the bar I found myself on an icy back street in State College. Two steps later I was looking directly at the night sky, from my back on an iced brick street. The weather topped off at 4 F the whole week I was in town visiting. I doubt the guys worried about that at all, because the heat coming from the bar was like a blast furnance. I saw em 4 months later out here on the campus of ASU in Tempe. Good times.

1st song- Space Oddity. I was working at the bar, and they made me stop and take notice.
1st original- Phaddy Boom Baddy. I found myself singing it in the car after that same show, wondering if it was an original, or just a cover I wasn\'t familiar with.

:that:
I had been been looking forward to seeing the band for around 6 months, but i was never able to make it. i was working 5 nights a week and going to school 2 nights a week, so i never went to any shows that were not worth it for me to give 2 weeks notice for a night off from work. i got out early the night pb played when oysterhead tickets went on sale so me and 3 other people from work + chris n. went down to toad\'s to see the breakfast. first song heard live by chris and i was buquebus! i already had deuce and i was pumped for the buquebus opener when they started the show.
:stupid:
That was a good show. Jeff Pevar playing on a few songs was great. I remember thinking, I have never seen anything like this in my life. So yeah, first song I heard live was Buquebus. Pretty good for a first song, and also got a Maggot Brain, a song with Dave Peck on vocals!, a new shoe dance, and a first time played Rockin\' in the Free World out of the deal. I was actually learning that song on guitar at the time so that was a clincher for me.

No freakin clue.
I can\'t even figure out what show my first show was. Actually, I don\'t even know what year it was.
same here. but i know it was \'99. my first show listed in the new digest was just a guess because Seth wouldn\'t publish "I have no idea."
All I remember is walking into a bar and the band was playing. Pure coincidence. My life hasn\'t been the same since. That was seriousily sometime in 1999/2000 because I remember usinga fake ID to get in. I was actually with plainandsimple. It was sometime during college winter break.
