I HATE SHOVELLING!
When I went to DRAG the garbage can out to the road I was literally up to my waist in snow in 1 spot.  i must have looked pathetic because one of the neighbors stopped in his lexus, dressed in suit for work, and asked if he could help!

Biggest storm I\'ve ever been in. The snow was half way up the window of my car (not a drift). At least 2 feet + in southington. Out in front of the appartment the snow got up to and covered the 3rd step of the stairs and was that height out.

Luckily I was off yesterday, but being a 24/7 network I know alot of people who had to work and there were some real horror stories of the commute. At noon yesterday driving on 84 between bristol and waterbury, I was told that between the snow comming down and other cars it was a complete white-out. The only way to see where you were going was to look out your side window and watch the guard markers. If you didn\'t know the road you were screwed. It was so bad he accidentally got off onto the 691 interchange and had to drive up and around to get back on 84! That by itself took an additional 20 minutes! Luckily there were no accidents with the people who had to work.

Dave and Joc - I took eddie outside. Funny. He loves to bound through snow, but it was more than 3 times as tall as he was. He would try and jump into it and just smacked into it like a wall instead. He was lovin\' it though.

What the ****. My school didn\'t even cancel for the last snowstorm we had which was happening DURING the morning commute. Rte 3 just north of Manchester was completely shut down due to an accident and we STILL had class.

You guys suck!

On a more positive note, just got back a little bit ago from a hike with my dog... and despite getting ridiculously lost (oops) it was really beautiful and Sadie and I are both in really good moods now :D

Good to get the snowshoes on too. Although I probably didn\'t need them for a foot of snow, it was great through the drifts and made me feel better to just be able to use them...

i\'m really bad at guessing but am going to estimate 10-12 inches here of seriously heavy snow. there are trees/branches down everywhere. we lost power at my house 3 times today. on my way home last night i saw a ton of lightning during the blizzard-kind of cool! i left the house a few times today but not in my car because it\'s buried and i\'m kind of too lazy to dig it out/don\'t even want to deal with it in the snow. the roads are a total mess here because they have no clue what to do when it snows and hardly plow. looking forward to my class being cancelled tomorrow. :)

Florida Girl? What part..I went to school in Lakeland..Good old Florida Southern College..Actually it was way cool because half the school was designed by Frank Loyd Wright..really funky architecure..we used to take shrooms :toad: (which we picked almost daily in the cow pastures) and run around on the building tops and the sidewalk\'s overhangs...Anyway back to the thread..we got about 18 inches here in New Milford..just came back from a hike and it was sick...and this morning I was up at 9 looking for unplowed parking lots to practice my winter driving in :kenny:

i had 16 inches when i went ouside about 4 hours ago and we have gotten about 2 inches since then. my street is pretty clear, so main roads are probably not a problem around here. im not going out today though.

no clue what the official amounts are here, but ive been out in the car a few times already with no problems, roads are shitty, but driveable. my driveway has almost nothing, but the back of the house has a drift that was half way up the door (found that out the hard way). still comin down pretty good though. my guesstimate would be 14-16 inches, though because of the wind it doesnt seem as much

Yeah I love that.... my parents have a little corgi with short legs and it\'s so funny to watch him bound/plow through the snow.

Sadie could not be happier right now... she\'s a mountain dog anyhow so this is her kind fo weather... she leaps and digs and tunnels... and sometimes even lays down in the snow... She really loves it. As a matter of fact, I should take her for a little hike. Yeah I am going to do that. Have a good afternoon everyone!

I\'m curious to know what other people have gotten/are still getting. I think that here in New Hampshire we have gotten the short end of the stick again. We have about 6 inches thus far but it\'s still coming down pretty hard.
