gabby la la - think yoko ono singing and playing sitar :)
-
I\'ve heard of Gabby La La but never heard her. I have read about her and it sounds like crap. No need to go any deeper into her work with a name that probably sounds like her music.
-
its so irritating that Gabby La La gets serious press in relix and on jambase.. i pity those who pay to see HER. and i pity those who allow her to open for them. sorry Les. shes an absolute joke.
yea man i totally agree with that statement, she should get no press cause shes pretty much garbage, the only reason anyone (including myself) knows who she is, is because of Les.
-
Gabby Lala an invention of Les Claypools?
you never heard Gabby Lala. i\'m pretty sure it\'s a woman who plays with Les and Crew. i snagged a show from etree. so sad stuff right there. i would see that show if you paid me....... well maybe.... but i\'d end up spending it all on booze to get me through the night. I\'ll bring you a sample if you want.

gabby lala @ High Sierra = worst live music experience of my life

i really liked the oysterhead project..
i remember tickets for the toad\'s show went on sale (or raffle or something) the same night the b\'fast played toad\'s and there were shitloads of people there.. then the show ended up being cancelled because of 9/11.. i did catch the roseland show though and had a great time..
i saw them in Utica. it was alright, not much set variations from show to show.

its good to see that les is back with a great band instead of gabby lala, that **** sucked balls last year...and we can avoid the fiasco of bo bice comming out with trey and singing some van halen, thats was probably the most anti-climatic moment ever.
-
trey\'s decisions are out of our hands.. all you can do is hope for the best at this point and let **** pan out. Oysterhead being back is great news, i saw them at the Aragon and thought the show was great. big fan of their disc too. judging by certain things trey has said in articles lately i am optimistic that he\'s getting his feet under him, no reason to knock him down (or anyone for that matter) after admitting to having problems and being vocal about wanting to get better.

right on no hard feelings
-
look....... all I\'m saying is we shouldn\'t necessarily judge people from their past, maybe he has learned, what do we know,
Judge not brother, lest........
Yeah, I think we should drop it. Dont want this thread to turn into a shitstorm.

I was making an observation. And yeah I have. Drop it.

all i\'m saying is that someone on this board can\'t post something that they\'re excited about without you comin in and giving them an itemized list of everything that\'s wrong with what they\'re excited about.
speaking of history what about YOUR history GUY!! Have you learned from your histroy it doesn\'t look like it.
-
Those who don\'t learn from history are doomed to repeat it.....
-
jackass?
-
I wish they would bring back the original versions of "Oysterhead" and "Mr. Oysterhead". They were balls to wall RAWK!!
Intuition??

I find it sad that people turn a blind eye to people with serious addictions. Trey has brought intense amounts of spiritual happiness into my life the past 10 years as I\'m sure he did with many of you. To say you dont give a **** about his health/well being is selfish and ignorant.
What proof do you have that Trey will lapse? How do you know that he won\'t stay clean. **** this speculation, speak facts.
Shouldn\'t he have some privacy no matter what his issues are? He is still just a human, a person with feelings, who gets hurt, feels pride, etc. etc. etc.

Oysterhead sucks
I remember the 2001 shows very well because Garage A Trois opened fro them and BLEW THEM OFF THE STAGE. If anyone would like to hear it for themselves Ill be more than happy to burn both discs.
-
that\'s all he\'s saying is that he\'s excited about the band it\'s not his problem if trey is doing drugs or not he just wants to hear them play
-
No, I\'m the voice of reason/realist of .info
-

Yeah because ADDICTION IS **** COOL!!!!!!!
:thumbsdow
-
best news ive hear in a while, though it still won\'t get me to bonnaroo. is it a one-time gig?
-
oh snap....i don\'t know how much i would want to drive 19 hours again just to see them play a latenight set but i would def llove them to get back in the studio. I haven\'t seen them live but i\'ve got some recordings and i saw them on the old HBO series (can\'t think of its name right now) and it didn\'t sound so great. But this is really sick anyway i never thought they would get back together!

Goodbye sober Trey...........
-
OH ****!!!!!!
I have friends that want me to go, wasn\'t thinking about it but now I\'m thinking about it much harder
-
Their first show since 2001 will be at Bonnaroo. Between them and Radiohead, it might be worth the cost of admission...:chin:
