Treychica, Ultimate Frisbee is not played on courses, that is Frisbee golf.  Ultimate is a team sport played 7 on 7 where you must advance the disc into the opponent\'s end zone by passing it.  http://www3.upa.org/index.php

Robyn, don\'t laugh.  Ultimate is serious stuff.  The UPA has 210,000 members in the USA alone playing in over 2,500 leagues.  National championships have been held every year since 1986.  The sport is NCAA-sanctioned and last year there were 86 men\'s college teams and 31 women\'s teams.  California, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Colorado, Wisconsin, and Florida also have governing bodies for high school play.

The action is about 5 times faster than soccer and requires the positioning precision of football.  You can\'t just run willy-nilly across the field like in soccer or basketball or everyone will know in 2 seconds.  I thought I knew what Ultimate was until I played in my first real league.  It\'s tough, but it\'s the greatest game I\'ve ever played!

omg, are u SER?! :sigh:

I used to see Wolfman playing frisbee every afternoon at UMass.  Ultimate Frisbee was the official sport of the upper central residential area.  The kid probably has jerseys printed up courtesy of Sam Adams.

You should compile a team of UMass alums in the Boston area.  Shouldn\'t be hard to find.

Ultimate season is quickly coming upon us and registrations are happening everywhere!

I played summer league and pickup with Connecticut Ultimate Club last year, the kids are GREAT!  http://www.ctultimate.com for all pickup and leagues in CT :)  The previous three years I played NYCPUL in New York City and SULA in Amherst and didn\'t like the people or the facilities, but CT Ultimate Club is great!  Get out there!

This year I\'m playing with BUDA (Boston Ultimate Disc Alliance) in Boston.  They are registering indoor winter league right now for all you Boston tossers.  http://www.buda.org

For big tourneys, finding a league near you, official rules, equpiment and everything else, check out the UPA\'s (Ultimate Player\'s Association) site http://www3.upa.org/index.php

Get your disc on!
