I guess I cried and tried to stay home to watch the shuttle lunch.

hence.....the nickname.

Its probably the beginning of it. All I ever wanted to be was an astronaut, until 1986 then it began to fade away. Every room I had while I was younger had that Photo Wallpaper of the shuttle in space.

appropriate, I guess.

yeah, amazing that its been that long. I still have the original clip from 1986 on VHS. Mother had to tape it for me since I had to go to school. I guess I cried and tried to stay home to watch the shuttle lunch.

Since the horrible accident that took the lives of 7 people and almost derailed the Space Program for good.
I am writing about The Challenger. I remember watching in class(back then Shuttle launches were big news) and the horror that filled the class as we watched the shuttle just blow up and disappear in pieces.
