i hadn\'t been into american idol since the clay aiken/reuben days, but watched the episode last week and decided to watch the finale last night. i am soo glad taylor won over that talentless hooker. that girl was cute, there\'s no getting around that, but it\'s obvious who had the talent and style. i\'m very glad to see that she didn\'t win because of however many millions of retarded men who would have voted for her simply because she is pretty. the show last night was like watching the grammy awards or something. lots of good people to watch, i especially liked prince at the very end. loved the clay aiken fan on stage. meatloaf sounded kind of creepy, but then again i guess meatloaf is just creepy anyway. i also thought that mary j blige was TERRIBLE.

I LOVE TAYLOR. I LOVE TAYLOR. I LOVE TAYLOR. I hate Kat. She is unoriginal, annoying, has zero style & tries too hard to fit in on the show. Taylor is the best thing to come to prime time TV. I\'ve always hated Idol, but once I spotted Taylor, I was hooked. I think I\'m actually going to go to his concerts & buy his CDs. That\'s how much I love Taylor. His Doobie Brothers performance was my favorite. He performed that song way better than the Doobie\'s could. Joey McIntyre will always be my favorite performer, but Taylor is up there. Did anyone else have trouble voting? I kept calling & calling like all night long trying to vote for Taylor, but couldn\'t get through. They should have online voting or something where you enter your passport or driver\'s license # so that it\'s fair & people can\'t vote twice & you can actually get through for Taylor.

Well when Taylor makes the rounds in the next year hitting county fairs and the AI "tour" I\'ll be sure to shout out requests for The Vermont Song and hell Tricky Ways even, from the side of the stage. :lol:

hahaha last night was the only time i watched this season\'s american idol, and i have to say taylor hicks did an awesome job living just enough, JUST ENOUGH, for the citaay. i\'m glad that he won, my new jamaican friend neville at a work will be so pleased!! and also, i cant believe he digs the breakfast!! this guy is heady :thumbsup:

I\'ve watched AI maybe two or three times for 5-15 mins. each time. I went on their website yesterday and watched Taylor\'s performance. :thumbsup: :thumbsup: Top notch!!! Hope he beats that hussy!!!

only season ive watched more than two episodes, mostly to see how he does. He\'s definitely more original and talented than Kat, but damn is she sexxxyyy. . .

I can\'t believe that he is about to win this ****... he deserves it, as he has been by far the most talented an original person on this show ever.
With 30million + viewers, I know that Ant and I aren\'t the only people on this board who have been following it this season... fess up people!

I am not an avid watcher of the show either... I hate it actually, and have never watched it until now (all I do now is tivo it and fast fwd until his part comes one... funny how they always save him for the end). I gotta pull for my boy though... I told ya... he\'s got skillz... he\'s really a great singer. Win or lose, I\'m just hoping that the exposure will elevate his status from struggling artist to filthy **** rich artist.
It\'s crazy what being on this show can do for someone... since it has aired, he cannot go anywhere in town without people mobbing him for pics & autographs.
Regarding him singing a Breakfast song, I\'m not sure if they get to choose whatever they want or have to choose from certain ones, but I don\'t see it happening. Now that he\'s going after the public vote, I sure he will choose songs that people will recognize.

Taylor Hicks = the most entertaining person on this show. I usually only watch the last 10 minutes if at all, and it made me laugh and give a slight smile the way he walked into the room to face the judges to see if he made the top 24. Guy plays a mean harmonica. So yea Marcial, it really wasn\'t a rumor that he made the audience vote portion, you knew all along didnt ya? Seeing as I am not an avid watcher of the series, do the performers get to choose their songs to perform live for audience voting? If so, what\'s the chances you can get this guy to sing a breakfast song? You want exposure for a relatively unknown, there ain\'t no bigger exposure than having an American Idol sing one of your songs. Though I am not sure what song in the library would be best suited.

I told you he would be easy to recognize! He is 29... one of 2 friends I have that are fully gray before 30. I thought his audition went pretty well... like I said before, he has a great voice and can also play several instruments. I\'m interested to see how well he will do when all the teeny-boppers start voting.

He plays in several local bands and has also released a few solo cd\'s. He dated my sister\'s best friend for several years. You will know him because he has the most gray hair of anyone who has ever been on the show.... I will be interested to see if they try to make him dye it and if he does it... lol. He is a pretty cool guy and digs The Breakfast. Rumor has it that he makes it as far as you can go before the audience starts to vote.
Not sure how so many people from Birmingham manage to get on the show... Ruben, Bo Bice, and now Taylor... maybe I will try out next year... LOL.
when you only have three channels to choose from, and fear factor is on one, and the second isnt coming in for some reason, you end up watching this show. Just saw your friend\'s audition. How old is that dude, he\'s got a FULL head of gray hair, not the "most of any contestant". He was actually pretty good, something different. Simon gave him the business though.

honestly, as a fan of AD, i can\'t see how you\'re not watching Scrubs on tuesday nights..
Horrendous as usual :) I only watch the 1st few episodes of Idol because I am sick like that.
As for Scrubs, I have a VCR.

Ever since Kelly Clarkson, I\'ve found it hard to watch because I know no one will ever beat her true melodies and charismatic vocal range :rolleyes:

i won\'t deny watching in the past. but it\'s just too darn repetitive. would be much cooler if the contestents had to play an instrument and/or write their own songs.

I can\'t stand that crap most of the time. Chris has worn down me a little bc she watches it on occasion. I can stand it at the begining when everyone sucks, but later on I think it\'s garbage.

I know I am. I only really watch the first episode auditions.
Only part of the show that is really entertaining.
I will admit to watching parts of episodes if a singer is decent but it\'s all about the horrible auditions!!!!!!!!!!!!
