My own personal fave was when I got to sit in and sing Whipping Post with Tim at Richter\'s in May....I know it dosen\'t qualify, and that mostly anyone on this board would\'nt have seen/heard it.........but getting to do one of your fav. tunes with Tim playing is pretty awesome ****......so yeah, I vote for that
-
guest appearances aside the may fly from Rev hall is one of my favorite tunes done this year p-rods.
-
and i wanna see klout and wah throw down
I couldn\'t accept the challenge.
Freddy has a daughter to look after and he needs to be alive to do that! ;)

holy out of hand, batman!
-
Jedi on "Ramble On Rose" alone should win, throwing in "Sympathy..." is just unfair to the rest of the runners up.
Wah is correct, per usual.
good point..... But not for you walshy!
it is unfair because that option includes two songs where as phil only sat in on one !
So even with an unfair advantage it STILL LOSES.
Also I have to ask all of you who were not at rev hall and voted against.....
have you even listened to the tapes????
because that alone will liekly change your mind.
Listen to the tapes boys....we promise we wont bust your balls when you break down admit you were wrong.

phil\'s sit in at rev hall was one of the highlights of my second breakfast show. those harmonies were friggin sick. and the way they traded bars soloing between tim phil and seq was off the wall.

I don\'t remember the Webster going nuts at all that night.
i don\'t know about the people up at the bar.....but when ROR started the floor went nuts like i\'ve never seen for a dead song played by any band, (including P&F and "The Dead/otherones")!
edit: i\'m still sticking with rev hall gladys
-

It\'s not apparent on the CD either. Just b/c you missed the Rev Hall show doesn\'t mean it wasn\'t ser.
surprisingly Mooboos wasn\'t played either.

phil and the rest of trb could suck my balls.
-

-
Are all of the guest appearances listed above available on archive? If so, I may assemble a disk that features all of them. Since I wasn\'t at any of the above shows, I\'m not at liberty to vote till I download them all.
-
both of them that night was insane
-
phil was pretty on point that night, but jeremy wall\'s gladys tore my face off and put it in the blender.
-
yeah dawg haha
-
I finally gave in and went with Phil on May Fly. Basically, because I enjoy May Fly a lot and Phil brought the heat that night. It was **** intense.
-

sounds like a nice mellow treat for the old folks!
were you up front noodle dancing like the old days freddy?
has anyone who was at both voted against rev hall?
me thinks not!
all you geriatric sentimental dead heads need to listen to the rev hall tape or watch the video and admit your WRONG WRONG WRONG and retract your vote :D
-
I always go against the grain..........So my thoughts are diffrent but not important.

All i have to say is that having my best friend on the entire planet kill one of the sickest songs in the breakfast catalog better **** make it as the best guest appearance of the year!!!
or what?

Hotel TKA= not on the list because it wasn\'t a PB show ;)
-
Orooni=Aruny
fixed.
Had to go w/ Seanaldo\'s Ramble on Rose, since his "I\'m Your Captain" (as well as Nikki\'s "Ring of Fire!" lol) from Hotel TKA didn\'t make the list --Schumacher was a close 2nd... dunno why
-
I was at both shows. No disrespect to Sean but the Phil on guitar May Fly was orgasmic to the muddled sound of the Webster.
:that:

alexanderzurflu what is a good p lace to play in LA, we contemplating booking Vegas and LA, cause we have 2 days in Feb when we\'re in AZ and we need to fill the dates, not looking for any Huge venues, more of the first time in regular crowd place or a brewery
I\'m not as familiar with L.A. You may want some input from Leith and Wstielau as they are the SoCal dudes.
I can make suggestions for the Bay Area though.
-
Orooni
Oh Roon EEE
it has to do with a jack Kerouac book (on the road) , and in a quote some jazzer dude says the whole world is one big Orooni, and I guess Orooni means anything you want it to

I didnt see or hear the whole mandolin thingy dingy but that sounds like ser WEAK SAUCE compared to phil SHREDDING on mayfly and that MASSIVE jwall gladys. Anyone at both shows?
apples to oranges really.
yes you are correct.
comparing weak sauce to ser face owange is like comparing apples and oranges
just breakin balls tho. It must have been pretty neat to even hold a candle to rev hall.
-
Spunk, You pronounce the name of your band the same way it sounds?
-
I\'m not voting
but if anyone is in Colorado on this board, or AZ or in the mid west, my new band is touring the country pretty soon, its called Orooni and we\'re based out of Fort COllins
You have already assembled a national touring band in the couple months since you landed in CO? Good Work!
I need to download that Mayfly ASAP.

apples to oranges really. seanie miller + pb doin\' ramble on rose was far from weaksauce though.

i went with may fly with phil - hands down!
dual guitar ahoy! \'nuff said.
-
Can you pick all of them? Put them on a cd and listen to it over and over again and then make a pick?????For me this is the only way.....
-
i went with may fly with phil - hands down!
I agree with you Dave. I didn\'t see the Raq dudes show. But i was at Rev hall and Phil and Tim together were on fire that night!
-
there were no devo sit ins last year?
last sit-in was @ the wedding, if you wanna count that.. before that, 4/20/02 bluntman/chronic..
There was a stretch in 2001 that featured nearly monthly Devo Stand-ins (I don\'t ever remember you sitting in ;) ).
-
ramble on rose/sympathy for the devil with seanieboy miller.
-
THis was really hard!
i had to go with jeremy wall\'s gladys. that **** owned me, ****.
But gonna have to agree with the Cobber
-
does timmy tour count? ;)

Ramble On Rose + Sympathy For the Devil = Why isn\'t this show on archive?
My two favorites by their respective bands. Kick ass.
-
PHIL ON MAYFLY HANDS DOWN.
Jwall is always good with them, especially on gladys.
Philly was PRICELESS though.
-
i went with may fly with phil - hands down!
-
lol
-
I said Stoopes and Michetti because I have no idea who the hell those other people are.
-
d\'oh.. **** i gotta add that in there now..
-
05/07/05 - Ramble On Rose, Sympathy For The Devil: Sean Miller on mandolin & vocals
08/20/05 - Sgt. Pepper\'s Lonely Hearts Club Band: Jed Cordell on trombone
09/23/05 - May Fly Disarray: Phil Salvaggio on guitar
09/23/05 - Gladys Pimp And Kangaroos With Me: Jeremy Wall on keys
I only saw these four sit-ins, and while each was absolutely dirty, i would have to go with Jeremy Wall on Gladys.....i was standing right behind them and it was amazing to see sequoia and wall just going nuts for close to 15 mins....
The sit-in by sean for ramble on rose was def second best, and salvaggio\'s shredding was suprising sick in comparison to timmy. Cordell\'s sit-in for Sgt. Pepper\'s was a nice treat but it was more of a tease than anything else.....what i\'m waiting to hear is a score with the horn section from AGP!!!!
-
