I have the November show from 2 years ago and soon will have the other nights on disc.
-
The last couple of times Phil has played the Oakdale, the shows have been stellar.
I agree and if anyone has recordings, I\'ve been in search of them
-

Absolutely THE BEST post Jer show I have seen!!! Unbelievable energy flowing through that place!! Second set was hallucinogenic! Lost count of all the teases. Great times soaking the soul with TerryOB!!! Chris Robinson is so versatile for vocals it\'s amazing! Download will be done in 36 mins. Can\'t wait to hear it again, and again, and again....
Walsh = loudest person at the oakdale.confirmed
"AOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!"
Outside during the set/jib break, I almost walked 30 feet away from Walsh to continue our conversation.....instead, I just walked away!! ;)

Yeah, I was a MESS last night. 99 apples and a whole Nalgene full of Captain and Coke and then a few giant beers inside and then that jibba outside at setbreak with Sam and his daughter...KaPlOwIe!!!! I was faced. Lost everyone and couldn\'t figure out where the hell the seats we had were so I wandered then I sat in Lobby and listened for a bit(Cats) then I wandered again and then I finally found the right section...what a **** 2nd set.
I cannot wait until Feb for the Beacon->Tower Th run...woohoo!!! Of course I still haven\'t ruled A.C. out just yet:) I am off tomorrow...hmmm?
-
I wish you would have been able to hang for a lil while and help me get Fitzy back to his car...it was priceless.
I am sure it was....Classic Fitz last night..
I was bombed....i ended up partying way to hard way to early.....by the time the show was over (5 giant beers on top of the preshow 6) I could barely see......
Great night though....
i\'m picturing everyone reading this going "5+6=about right for stevie" ;)

^^^ it seems that lot balloons are the standard at Oakdale shows now
-
wow...amazing show last night....i have now seen 3 different incarnations of Phil and Friends and last nights show blew the balls off of the rest.......tight playing, sick jams, a bit too much slide guitar at a couple of times but the real gem of the evening was chris robinson.....pure bliss in his performance last night....
we got there at the end of Who Knows What Tomorrow May Bring and the band was already on fire....Loser my runner up highlight for the first set....this is a song that needs to make a Timmy Tour appearance.....The Sunday Sound was my first set highlight....great lyrics great jamming....it seemed that the band was having a blast..
set 2 started with cats down under the stars....fuckin jer.....i would never have expected hearing that tune...**** stellar....the golden road was amazing, but the viola lee blues darkstar seguefest was AMAZING.....
Great night indeed....
lot balloons and all

I am gonna grab this but I am really hoping the FOB came out well and gets circulated...the sound in that place was great last night from where he was...don\'t ask me how I ended up there by myself for a few minutes...cuz I don\'t know, I just remembered it now.
I cannot wait for February for the multi-night NYC/Philly shows...get my PHIL!!!

Wallingford, CT 12/6/05
Set 1:
Jam> Who Knows What Tomorrow May Bring> Brown-Eyed Women, Loser, Big Boss Man, Sunday Sound, Pride Of Cucamonga, China Cat Sunflower
Set 2:
Cats Under The Stars> Jam> Golden Road> Jam> Viola Lee Blues(v1&2)> Goin\' Down The Road Feeling Bad> Viola Lee Blues(v3)> Jam> He\'s Gone> Jam> Dark Star(v1)>
Jam(Samson & Delilah jam)> Dark Star(v2)> Jam> Comes A Time> Uncle John\'s Band
Donor Rap/Intros
Encore:
Do Right Woman, Do Right Man
Well, I was floored once again, this band has really found their "Sound" as this tour has unfolded and it just keeps getting better abd better. The "Loser" was special and the "Brown-Eyed Women" was spot on and the "Pride" was a huge surprise. However, the HIGHlight of the 1st set was the MONSTROUS "China Cat", including a huge prankster build towards the first "China->Rider" of the tour, that was waved away by Phil...that was just mean, but worked. Anyone catch Phil tell everyone it was "OK, wait until you hear what\'s next" or something to that extent...they were dialed in last night.
I won\'t say anything about the second set at ALL. I know what looks good on papper doesn\'t always translate well, but it did last night...just go get this show and bask in the glory of Phil & Friends melting the faces of 4 or 5 thousand Heads. Utter insanity.
Great to see everyone, although I couldn\'t see very well;)
Fitz, how you feelin\' today bro? I wish I had a camera to take pics of you walkin\' back into your house...did you find your car this morning?

The Albnay show dismantled the framework of the space time continuum and ever so patiently and triumphantly pieced it back together in a way so strange yet so familiar. I had one of the best nights of my life in that building last night. I did not want it to end. The HIGHlights are too many to nail down but, I will say that the "Two Souls"->"Bird Song"->"Cold Rain" and the "Wheel->Eyes->Rider" had tears of joy in this wooks eyes. Maybe it was the GA floor with no seats, maybe it was the anticipation/talent of Scofield, maybe it was JER lending alittle of the X-Factor down from heaven, I am not sure...but something otherworldly went down in Albany last night that I will NEVER forget. Thank you Phil & Friends for uplifting my soul last night. I am almost worried about going to the Oakdale...could they possibly get anywhere close to that show??? I know I am going to find out;)
Who is coming with me Thursday to AC?:)
Man I can\'t wait for this show tomorrow. Now that Jer is gone, Chris Robinson is really one of the only people that I care to hear sing dead songs. I have a copy of the Two Souls that he did last year @ the Warfield w/ Phil and it is amazing.
-
That\'s what happens when you assume...
YEP Then again an xtra 3 days of Ct. this time of yr could have been veddy bad 4 me.

Bummer. Have fun guys!
-
Can\'t f#@%n\' wait for tomorrow night!!!!!!

the Boston show is going got be nutso! the BU fuckkks have no idea what they are in for :) after hearing about Sco, I would love to hit up Albany... a few summers back Sco and Branford Marsalis were supposed to play a two night stand in BPort but it never happened- eversince that incident the thought of Scofield playing dead tunes has haunted my existence.. Walsh- of you\'re in Boston- you got a place to crash if need be...
-
Spacey...What time you heading over to the show...I wanna head up early and sling some patchwork pants and jello shots.
You tell me.
I will be out of work by 5. The Oakdale is on the way home. I can go straight to the Oakdale. P&S is out of work by 4 and lives right there too.

I never worry about a bad seat in the Oakdale. Almost every seat is nice, but I will be looking for a low orch seat.
-
They still have lower orchestra to the right of the stage...do not think the sight lines will be too great but you would be up close...I also think that there is upper orch seats still left.
-
Going to buy an Oakdale ticket this week.
-
yes Molo is still the drummer.
Phil
Molo
Sless
Mookie
Campbell
Robinson
**Sco in Buff and Albany**
Just got free tix to the Oakdale for Tues...still holding out for more so I have trades when I drive to Albany.
-
I was wondering about them... is molo still in the band? that dude is the backbone of the band IMO. huge fan... definitaly going to check them out at the Oakdale.
-
Larry Campbell was a genius addition to the band. When he was in Dylan\'s band w/ Charlie Sexton **** was tight. Dylan had his hands full w/ that Band!!!!
-
chris robinson and now john scofield for albany. i\'m there. can\'t wait.
just downloaded two shows and so far they still keep the energy level high!
-
Let me begin this by qualifying that I was TERRIFIED by the "loss" of Herring b4 this tour...I have now listened to most of it due to Archive and there is a brand new energy in this beast. The addition of the violin in some songs(read:Althea) is otherworldly...and check out the arrangement of Terrapin and Mts of the Moon. I REALLY hope that this incarnation stays together for a little while...it could get VERY interesting. I am really trying to do Albany and def doing Wallingford...there is an outside chance at Boston(if not still sick)...hope to see some of ya\'ll there.
