Boogie On was the encore.
anyway I am leavin for utica at 4:30
MY OFFICIAL PREDICTION IS THIS:
All members of phish come out and jam with 70vp one at a time until they are all on stage toward the end of the show. They finish that jam then everyone goes off. The crowd goes crazy and just starts chanting phish. THen phish comes out and plays 2 or 3 phish tunes. Then trey thanks the crowd and says good night but says nothing else.
YOu heard it hear first.
Klout, your post is from today. You do realize that the Utica show was last night, right?

11/11/05 Utica Memorial Auditorium, Utica, NY
Set I: Mr. Completely, Spin, Drifting, Dark And Down, Night Speaks To A Woman, Shine, Money Love and Change, Push On Til the Day, Come As Melody, Access Me1, The Divided Sky1 2, Get Back On The Train1, Heavy Things1, Bathtub Gin1> Ghost1
Encore: Boogie On Reggae Woman3
1 Trey on acoustic, Mike Gordon on electric bass
2 Jon Fishman on Cymbal ; With \'Lawn Boy\' ending
3 Mike Gordon on bass; Jon Fishman on Drums
THe lawnboy ending tease was the biggest punch in the face ever. 3/4 are on stage and everyone in the place is waiting for page to come out and then tease the quintessential page song. **** up.
anyway it was a fun time. rocked it front row with about 10 of us. The acoustic thing was very cool. brought a big smile to my face. THe boogie on was decent. nothing crazy.
trey is a still a big **** though.
He just doesnt go for it at all anymore.
Sam kinninger after show at the EC was ragin.

Also, Fishman didn\'t actually play cymbals on Divided Sky. He came out with a cymbal and stood behind Trey and Mike during the "held note". Then he left the stage.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I love it. :P

And this was the full 70v Parade band back on electric
Reggae Woman w/ Fish and Mike
I am very inrigued by the Gin and Ghost.
yes, 70 volt parade was on during boogie on (electric). Fishman came out from the beginning of the encore - Boogie On. Mike didn\'t come out until the main part of the song was over. He joined Trey, Fish, and 70 Volt Parade for about a 12 minute jam that ended the show.

It was a rockin\' show. But, unfortunately, there was no sign of Page. It was worth the trip.

Supposedly 2 members of Phish are in the house...
11/11/05 - Jon & Mike w/ Trey?
Rumors that Fishman and Gordon will play with Trey at his show tonite are addressed on Mike\'s current answering machine (212-330-9092) message, where he reports they\'ll be on the guestlist, less than 72 hours after Page played with Trey. Too big of a gap for a reunion, but getting closer.
-
word is Phish is coming onto the stage, backs to the crowd and farting into a microphone.
Welcome, :fart:, back!
-
even better: page, mike, and jon walk out on stage to where a tech has just put a big couch. They sit down and watch treys show, but never pick up any instruments. At the end of the night, trey mike jon and page all take a bow, having done nothing.
That would be freekin\' highlarious!!!! The floor would be soaked with tears...or it might incite a riot!

all this talk about this made me have a dream about it last night..
it was weird.. sort of like a high school auditorium setting.. i was \'downstairs\' with the breakfast, when someone came in and said \'phish is playing. they\'re playing reba\'. so i bolted upstairs to check it out, and there they were.. and it was GOOD. damn good. i started crying like a baby cause i missed them so much..
the jam was incredible, but at the end of it, they didn\'t go into the whistling section. instead, all of their instruments were being wheeled off stage, as these guys with huge marching bass drums entered and they started playing the imperial march! i guess this was trey\'s new band, but i dunno.. it was really weird.. there were other bands too.. i just remember crying and looking over at ron and having him roll his eyes at me.. rotfl
I dreamed about it too. It started out first set and phish just ealked out no one else. They jammed and it was sick. Then we had a hotel that was somehow connected to the venue and we went back there at set break and partied. Then we went back and things got crazy. Now phish was gone and trey was in some crazy **** band and the other guys in the band were all tweaked out with face paint and **** and then trey was shredding it really hard. then all of a suden i was on stage too and ripping it up. It was fun. I think I woke up after that.
anyway I am leavin for utica at 4:30

shouldn\'t be too hard for you to lay him out, since you\'re both using the same computer..
oh man...
I stand by my other post. It would be great if they got together and did something nobody ever really liked, like jenifer dances and then broke up again, just to razz all the \'what if they got back..\' people on the web. I loved phish, it makes no difference to me though. If they get back together, I will go see them. If they don\'t, I\'ll see a hell of alot more breakfast. end of story.
-
I am not sure who this person thinks that he is spreading these false rumors. I think he should get his block knocked off.
I understand that it would be great if phish actually got together, but I really don\'t see that happenning. I am just sick of reading all of these rumors and getting my and everyone elses hopes up. I have just come to a realization that we need to stop this and just let it be a suprise if it happens.
I really do think that Keven Weber should be layed out! We must start somewhere so lets start with him.
Dave - this guy works with me. He\'s a comedian, huh? He\'s the one who actually first told me about "the rumor", sent me the fake AP press release, and is giving me a ride to the show. In a previous post, I said I\'m going to lay out a hippie if Phish isn\'t on stage tonight. I take that back, I\'m laying out my co-worker.
Of course, if it turns out to be true, I will be very grateful to him and may even buy him a veggie burrito.

i was at coventry, i planned ahead got in eariy as well. i am not a big fan of phish anyways so I wouldnt go either way. My first phish show was IT, my last was Coventry, and I saw them a few times in between. I am much rather looking phorward toward the countdown to the breakfast returning to the electric company on the 9th of dec. to play in utica.
-
hopefully tonight will be better than coventry
-
i would see it as and insult to fans to have this so-called reunion show. what happen to giving those fans who werent allowed in coventry, aren\'t they supposed to have some sort of compensation.
What?? I don\'t think the thousands of people that are going to be at the show tonight would look at it as an insult. I sure won\'t. If they do end up playing, consider yourself forewarned and it\'s your own fault if you aren\'t there. As far as Conventry, the only people that were turned away were those who allowed themselves to be turned away. Apparently I planned ahead, because I got in no problem. Thousands of people who were "turned away" at the gate still managed to get in. They parked their cars on the highway and hiked many miles, but they got in. I guess unless you\'re personally invited by the band, it will be an insult to you.
It\'s not like Phish is your personal friend who betrayed you. They are a bunch of musicians who are just doing what they want to do, whether that be tour, retire, unretire, have a one time reunion show. Whatever. Who are any of us to judge. How would you like it if everyone judged your every move. Just enjoy the music you do get to see and if they do get back together, count your blessings and hope it lasts. And, if it doesn\'t, hopefully you got to experience it a couple more times. And, if tonight is not what I\'m hoping it is, I\'ll look back on my 92 experiences and smile and catch some solo shows now and again. Life is short, don\'t be so bitter.
Trey played 7 Phish songs acoustic last night. That\'s awefully ironic given all the speculation.
-
They are suppose to play Fluffhead to bring closure to the entire thing...

when i first saw this thread I thought it was a countdown to the breakfast\'s utica show on friday dec. 9th. i was looking forward for that one.
me THREE. SER Fake OuT Thread!
I am going to utica though confirmed.
LET THE COUNTDOWN CONTINUE!!!!!!!!

I was at the Utica show in \'02 at the Stanley, when the balcony bowed and plaster was flying all over the place. The place was rocking hard during the 20 minute Mr. Completely, for sure.
I\'ll be at the show tomorrow night, recording. So whatever does happen, it will get released at some point either by me, or my buddy who is recording with me.
definitely report back on your first hand experience and aI appreciate the record in advance.
-
Word is Trey is playing lots of Phish tunes tonight even a little Tom in the house?
-
and so my attempt to highjack a phish union thread with anticpation of a ser breakfast show in utica has failed once again.
i would see it as and insult to fans to have this so-called reunion show. what happen to giving those fans who werent allowed in coventry, aren\'t they supposed to have some sort of compensation.
they did
Phish signed a picture book for them
hardly compensation at all

it would be a weaksauce move to have claimed to be retiring and then come out again.
So, you\'d rather have them not get back together for the sake of sticking to their claim that it was over?
People change as time goes on. At the time, they may have thought that was it. If they have changed their mind, I\'ll be ecstatic if they go back on their word.
I too would be extremely happy if they want back on tour. However, I think much of this would have to fall back on Trey. Read his "letter to fans", his interview with Charlie Rose and much more. He was adamant in saying, Phish is done. Now, less then a year later after almost the entire community turns its back on him, he has different thoughts about breaking up the worlds greatest rock band.
I certainly would have to drop Phish down a notch or 2, which still has them at the top of my list. However, they would have a lot to prove to me musically now.

kevin weber? did you just write that? or link?
ask your buddy to be SER with you man
I found out someone on PhantasyTour wrote it. I had a feeling it was fake when I posted it but wanted to share it anyway, just to add to the swirling "rumors".
But, seriously, something is definitely going down and I\'ll be sure to report it back to the group when I return on Friday (or Saturday). If Phish doesn\'t reunite though, i\'m going to lay out a few hippies!

"Anastasio is said to be making his first formal apology for breaking up his former band Phish and this will coincide with their one on reunion."

That\'s the line that gave me the serious doubts.

to go or not to go....that is the question.
Well, if you don\'t go and Phish does reunite, even for an encore, you\'re not going to be happy. If you go and that doesn\'t happy, at worst you\'re going to get to see Trey\'s band, that despite some grumblings, from what I\'ve read seems to get better and better with each show. The setlists have looked good, and something, it might not be Phish reunion, but something is going down.
My friend sent me this article, made to look like it\'s from the Associated Press, but I have some serious doubts.
AP (Buffalo)- According to numerous fan sites as well as former Phish founder and lead guitarist Trey Anastasio\'s website "The countdown to Utica" is near (http://www.trey.com). There will be all four members of the band formally known as Phish all on the stage at one time but not necessarily alone. Former Phish bassist Mike Gordon recently played a show at Irving Plaza in NYC and during Phish staple Ya-Mar Gordon made nearly 20 references to Utica throughout the song. Phish keyboardist Page McConnell recently sat in with Trey Anastasio\'s 70- Volt Parade and played Phish number\'s Strange Design, Waves and the tender Waste. Also reported is Anastasio\'s taping of Letterman which was originally to air Monday was pushed back to Friday to be seen at the conclusion of this special show in Utica. Anastasio is said to be making his first formal apology for breaking up his former band Phish and this will coincide with their one on reunion. For all "phans" this is a show that is to not be missed.
-
to go or not to go....that is the question.
-
god i wish they come back and tour...i get 4 weeks vacation next year
-
What better way to drum up ticket sales than start a rumor that Phish might make some sort of return at that show.
While I have thought of this as a possibility, I find it hard to swallow that Mike, Page, and Trey are in a grand scheme of deception just to strum up interest for a Trey show that could have been booked at a smaller venue.
Something is definitely going down tomorrow night. For Trey to have that countdown posted on his website and then to have just an average ho-hum no surprise 70 Volt Parade show might turn some people off.
Leo Kottke is playing solo in HI so we know Mike has no plans. I haven\'t heard of Fishman touring either. So, it\'s not out of the question.
-
Phish!phish!phish!phish!phish!phish!phish!phish!
I wouldn\'t care if they said they were going to retire after every tour, as long as there is another one, and another one, and...well you get it.
Long lives the "Adventure of KMan and Otto!!!"
-
oh maybe that was the palace I am thinking of. yea i think it was.
that ticket sale thing seems possible too
-
When Mike and Leo played New York a couple of weeks ago Mike did repeat "Utica" a couple of times during the show. He never offered any explanation but people immediately began speculating about Trey\'s Utica show.
Trey did joke about him and Paige starting a new band and calling it "Half Way Something" I don\'t remember the last word. You would not believe how happy Trey and Paige looked playing together. Smiles ear to ear the whole time, laughing and joking with each other (not the fans) in between each song, and generally just enjoying being together.
The other theory going around is that Utica is far too large of a venue for Trey\'s new band and they are fearing a doozy of a turnout. What better way to drum up ticket sales than start a rumor that Phish might make some sort of return at that show.
-

People change as time goes on. At the time, they may have thought that was it. If they have changed their mind, I\'ll be ecstatic if they go back on their word.
As a big sports fan, you can be certain that I was happy when Jordan and Clemens both went back on their word. Let it transcend into music.
there was a TAB show at that venue once and the place was rocking out of control and there was some danger of **** colapsing or something, so trey had to stop rocking out and play the rest of the shouw acoustic.
I know what you\'re talking about but I\'m pretty sure this is a different venue
-
I want Phish to come back and TOUR...there I said it, I don\'t care if it is "the past" I do not want to "get over it", I want those four dorks to get back on the road and I want to follow.
-

Perhaps this is related.
I have been thinking about this non stop for a while now. I am just gonna go and see what happens.
The atomic bomb picture and countdown has to mean something tho
-
the website has a mushroom cloud behind "countdown to utica"
is there a bigger statement you can make than a mushroom cloud?
-
so this sudden mood change is usually evidence of drug use
If Phish appears on stage tomorrow night, the rock world would change?
As much as I love Phish and would love to see them tour again, it would be a weaksauce move to have claimed to be retiring and then come out again.
but,
Phish is known for **** with the fans
-
I think I am gonna go. It seems like it could be going down. But I could just be wishful thinking. But what the hell else is the countdown for? A friend told me when paige came out the other night trey said they were starting a new band called "half way there" and that gordo has been front row at shows chanting phish.
-

-
"Countdown to Utica?"
1 month till the electric company!
-
On Trey\'s site, there\'s a "Countdown to Utica". When you click it, it just goes to another page that has a time counter counting down to the show tomorrow night.
I\'ve read some quotes from a couple recent Trey interviews where his tone about Phish being done for good has changed. See http://www.bringphishback.com.
Page played with Trey\'s band at the Roseland. Trey\'s been playing a bunch of Phish tunes in his sets recently. Not just "Trey band Phish tunes (first tube, sand, etc.), but Phish Phish tunes. Mike apparently was chanting Utica in a song at some show he played (not sure when).
So, what\'s up with Utica. TerryOB alluded to perhaps a Phish reunion of some sort and I\'m hearing and sensing the same thing. Does anyone have any information other than speculation.
WHY DOES TREY HAVE COUNTDOWN TO UTICA ON HIS WEBSITE????
I already bought my tickets so I\'m going to find out goddammit.
