The Coldplay tunes are for the ladies....  duh....  You dont get the nickname PME for nothing...
True that...................................

Does Tim really want to impress chicks that listen to Coldplay?
As far as bar owners are concerned, Tims job is to get people in the door.  If you get woman to your show, the men will follow.  Packing the house ensures continued or even growing employment for Tim.

As a part time, hack of a musicians, I can say that there\'s all kinds of strange reasons to learn songs.  I know and enjoy playing songs by many artists I don\'t care much for.  Sometimes it\'s a verse or maybe just a line you think is cool, sometimes the girl your with is into a certain band so you learn their songs.

Good analysis William, I forgot about "da business" of attracting people in addition to the contingent of T.T. regulars.

I guess it could take a Coldplay song to warm up the crowd to the magic of Tim Palmieri and his arsenal of great songs that won\'t make it to radio.

What a show that was last night.  VERY JAMMY, not that it isn\'t always, but there was alot more music and a lil less singing(it seemed), even right from the instrumental "Aja", which I wholeheartedly enjoy more than when played with lyrics.  I mean just look at the amount of songs in the 2nd set. It wasn\'t any shorter than normal, just HUGE jams in the songs played.  Especially in the opening wich.

HIGHlights of the first set were the aforementioned "Aja", the "Best Ever" version of "On the Road Again" and the "SWALBR->S.O.S".  The "Walkin\' on the Sun" jam was pretty cool in my mini-wich.

Poor Places is a Wilco song off Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, the second song off that album Tim has incorporated into TT, the other being Jesus, etc.
