MMW is one of my 3 favorite bands of all time, no question.  But Toad\'s just ain\'t right for them.  My review of 12/1/04:

A rock club with a GA floor and a noisy bar with a TV is not their scene. Take one listen to Tonic and it\'s pretty clear that music like that cannot be made at Toad\'s Place. I thought the crowd energy was decent, especially at the end with everyone doing the oleeeeee ole ole ole chant. I was going to go to Pearl Street to see them tomorrow, but I\'ll take a pass now. It\'s gonna be the same exact show; noisy rock club, punkass staff, 90 minutes one set. I\'m used to seeing them play 2 sets at the Calvin from 8-12. Hopefully they get back to these types of shows. They still have it, they just need to re-evaluate what kind of places they\'re playing.

i\'d definately like to check this show out.... $25 is a bit steep...wasn\'t the last MMW show at toads (last december i want to say) like 70 minutes long or something cheap like that?
