Probably the best one. For the love of god, bring it back boys! Please!
I think tonight would be a fine time to make it happen!
Here\'s the one I remember:
January 25th, 2002 ? Short Beach Saloon; Branford, CT
I: Jam > Kote > What The Funk > Score, Eight Miles High > Beef Barley* > Rock Around The Clock jam > Bugs**, Mooboo\'s Voodoo (Episode 2), I\'m So Glad
II: Jam > Attraction To Shade Ditty, Down By The Seaside^, Superfly Phaddy Fat > Jam > Wild Pack Of Asscracks, Episode 1 (Happy), Drum Solo, LDZ > Spunk > Miles Beyond E: Rift^^ > Son Of Simpleton
* with \'Pop Goes The Weasel\' teases; unfinished.
** also with \'Pop Goes The Weasel\' teases.
^ Led Zeppelin cover; first time played.
^^ Phish cover; instrumental & partial (2-3 minutes); first time played
While they are at it, I think they should finish Rift sometime!

They play a slow and beautiful jam in Miles Beyond that we don\'t get much of in 2005.
Bring back Miles Beyond and some slow jams.
I was very curious, so I did a search of .info and came up with 2 shows. I knew I heard them do it at least once, but wasn\'t sure if it was in a practice session or a show. I don\'t think I was at Brown Underground, but I was def. at Tammany. But...they may have also played it way back in the day, before .info. Too lazy to search that far...time for bed.....
03/16/01 - Brown Underground; Providence, RI
jam > Help On The Way > Slipknot! > Beef Barley > Son Of
Simpleton, Miles Beyond > See The Light > No Glove No Love,
Peaches En Regalia, Summertime Blues*, Franklin\'s Tower** >
Sweet Leaf**, Super Bad > Sex Machine > Stone Cold Bush^,
Funky Bill\'s Circus Cliche
08/13/01 - Tammany Hall; Worcester, MA
I: Garcian Fishbowl > Language Of The Gods > Garcian Fishbowl, May Fly Disarray, Kote > King Kong > Fairy, Mooboo\'s Voodoo (Episode 2) > Surfin\' **** > Mooboo\'s > Jam* > The Vermont Song
E: Miles Beyond > The Chase
The Brown show was interesting. The guys shuffled their roles on stage and swtiched instruments for most of the 2nd set.

the breakfast need to bring back miles beyond. period.
I\'m a big fan of many of the "long-since-played" covers of years past. Miles Beyond is good one, though I don\'t remember hearing it other than at the Brown Underground in Spring 2001.

But not as long as Paul\'s been hoping for an Inca Roads...
-
I\'ve been hoping for a Hot for Teacher about as long as Spacey\'s been hoping for a Safety Dance.
-
Now that I think about it more, Breakfast should definitely do Hot for Teacher. Since there is no keyboard, Jordan could grab the mike, sing, and do the Diamond Dave Dance! Ser!
he would have to do that annoying scream/noise he makes

-
i will see timmy in ornage/milford whenever, any night of the week, more notice would be stellar though
and i\'m sure alot of other people would to, if they lived in Orange

i can\'t really say much about attendance for side projects since i\'ve never been to one, but how many people are they expecting? since their are several projects a week it seems, and alot of fans don\'t live around new haven, and work during the week, it\'s tough for fans to go to them.
Very very true. It is really not possible for me to go to more than one during the week, if that. This was quite a spectacle, and I\'m glad I went.
-
If last night was bare bones, I can\'t wait to see it with flesh and fur!
:that:

Seanaldo-Agreed, but this stuff needs to get on the calendar as soon as it is booked.
the unfortunate part of it all is that a majority of the crowd save ourselves for shows like Wednesday at Richters. Black Thursday is a killer, as Steve and i were discussing last night. This show was last minute. I didn\'t find out about it until late Wednesday night.
So as a heads up, there will definitely be D&G, G&M, and BB at Porters, Daniel Street, and The Playbook in North Haven in the next month. I know this for sure. I just have to re-confirm the dates.

By the way for the record, this show was videotaped. However, a few errant whistles during peak musical moments has in all likelihood ruined the recording beyond any useful enjoyment.
Har Har Har Deeee Har Har...funnyman
Regarding Porters....Tim and Adrain both said that the Breakfast will never play there again, but sideprojects are likely to take place there.....and NO COVER...which is 7 dollars less than the cover for D&G last night....Personally I think the Drum & Guitar show is worth a $7 cover, anda from what Tim and Adrian said last night, the last couple have been really bare bones regarding what they ulimately want to do with it, but they have to start getting people to the shows first....
confirmed on the side project issue. there are definitelty going to be more D&G, Big Bangs, and some Guitar & Mandolin coming up as well. but, like Steve says, have to have ppl there to keep them going.

how was the Hot for Teacher, i\'ve been waiting for animal to KILL this tune
Absolutely positively ridiculous, to say the least. The 2 of them gave it more balls than Van Halen could ever dream of doing. If the Breakfast ever played this song (I wish they would even though I can\'t stand Van Halen) well, look out!

Don\'t you have a job that requires your attention? Get back to work and stop drooling about \'Hot for Teacher\'.
With that, I am off to build cabinets, peace

CHECK! I have a version of it they played in NC a while back. Good ****!
-
are any of the others owners still involved? do heads still won / operate it?
-
Porter\'s will not be the same with new owners. Similar, but not the same.
-
So the whole Porter\'s thing was a shame? Is it still going to be called Porters, even under new management? I left everything I had there that night, thinking I would never return, now I am super confused on how to feel.
-
i made a brief apperance and saw the rock!

Given the fact that last nights\' 2 man performance rivaled the entire Mahafreakingvishnu Orchestra, I would say, um, yes.

Hey Dave, can you send me a tape of that 8/13/01 Tammany Hall show with the Miles Beyond > The Chase encore?
:duck:  :sick?:
Show was not taped due to a mysterious "lack of blank media". Blank media...those were the days.
