Dave Grohl is a maniac.
Kurt Cobain + Vince Neil (1980s edition) = Dave Grohl
And did I mention ROGER **** TAYLOR from Queen on drums?
-
i thought weezer sucked monkey balls and foofighters were tremendous..
radicalrich, kick it down about 7 or 8 notches to the left..
thanks in advance,

Saw Weezer/Foo Fighters at the Continental Airlines Arena in Jersey last night. Sick show. It reminded me that a band doesn\'t have to jam to play awesome **** rock and roll. Not that either band ranks higher than The Breakfast on my list by a long shot, but they kick ser ass at what they do.
Foo Fighters encore: Tie Your Mother Down*, Monkey Wrench
* ROGER **** TAYLOR (Queen) on drums

seeing weezer live now is dumb, weezer isn\'t weezer without matt sharp

< waiting to hear how the show/night was.....
I\'d have a say on a scale of 1 to 10....a 10! tremendous show last night....probably the best I\'ve ever been to. I\'m sure a big part of it is b/c I like these guys so much and I hardly ever see them live. For me, it was just a perfect mix of great music, great energy, great stage set-up, great audience interaction....everything. They did a lot of stuff off the blue album....jonas, sweater song, buddy holly, surf wax america, SAY IT AIN\'T SO! They also played one of my all time favorites and one I\'d never thought I\'d hear them play....EL SCORCHO!! el scorcho > say it ain\'t so will probably be the best two song combo ever for me. so good. They played for a while which was great....did some switcharunies on instruments....awesome, awesome stuff.
The foo fighters were really good too. Played almost all their hits. Dave Grohl is a maniac. They had so much energy. They also had a really cool stage setup. Tons of lights, lasers, and ****.
all in all a tremendous show.

Wah, wish I could join you. Weezer **** ROCKS, even if their last 2 albums only have a handful of good songs.
I think there are a lot of good ones on the new album. Beverly hills is not a good representation of the way rivers sings on the album. The vocals are very similar to that of the blue album....

new weezer album = probably written in ten minutes.
cant blame them, people will buy whatever they do, so why try?
-

I remember hearing that River wrote hundreds of songs a number of years ago. From the buzz I\'ve heard, the new Weezer material isn\'t encouraging.
The only Rentals I\'ve owned is the "The Return of the Rentals", so I\'m hoping "7 More Minutes" is good.
i was at the foo/rhcp show, meadows?
I was at the UMass show, I\'ve never been to The Meadows.
Your Weezer/Rentals suggestions better be good or I\'m going to hop on the StephenGencs bandwagon and start calling you MediocreRich.
-
i was at the foo/rhcp show, meadows? that was sick, also seen weezer 10 times from 2000 on, have gone downhill everytime i have seen them, still blue is one of my fav albums ever
all sftbh info and downloadables are here
http://www.sftbh.com
"longtime sunshine" and "blastoff" are the money tracks, also they start and end the story
-
I\'ve seen both Weezer and The Foo Fighters (twice), though I have no idea if any of the music they are currently churning out is good. Any thoughts or download suggestions?
Foo Fighters w/ Chili Peppers in 2000 was a great show.
but, you guys heard the concept album they were going to release instead of pinkerton? it\'s about space, and pretty SER! I got all the tracks they released.
Which songs are these? I have lots of good songs that never made the Weezer albums. What are the titles (in the event that I don\'t already have them)?
-
weezer\'s old bass player is behind one of the best albums of the 90\'s "7 more min" and the new bass player was in vanilla ice\'s **** band....
have fun seeing the new one tomorrow
-
i\'m ser though if you haven\'t heard "songs from the blackhole" i will hook you dudes up, the songs are miles beyond anything since, they recorded the demos that were later scrapped a la "smile" when matt sharp\'s dad died and they were in europe doing acid and opening for radiohead... longtime sunshine and blastoff are two of the best songs they ever wrote and they weren\'t even offically released, they were also never played live, but the demos i have are pretty good quality
i have alot of weezer but i dont even really dig em.
maybe tommorow will change my mind.
-
rolling stone gives a lotta things 5 stars....
fer ser, though i\'m sure thats gonna be a kickin show, i\'d love to go, but work is too nuts.
