DIG AND CHASE MUST BE FOUND!!!!  I would love to hear PB outtakes as well... This is so unfair.  That\'s enough material to make disc one of a rarities box set: "Spoiled Eggs"
I have a ton of studio outakes that I\'m yet to go through from real radio. I think the only thing I didn\'t get a copy of was dig and fairy because they were recorded a day I wasnt there, and the covers because I went to see pearl jam in boston the night they recorded them. I have the vocal/solo acoustic only rehersal that became fresh cut, all takes of inner glimpse (6 or 7 of them), sleeping beauty(5), vera st, doughboy(4 or 5), both gravities, both grand schemes without the drum solo, All 7 of no regret, all the scores, the score horns by themselves, all the d5s, plus the fun stuff like adrian playing piano, the legend of a sausage trilogy, **** in my sockets and other silly songs along that line, a ton of alternate guitar solos that never made the album, etc, etc, etc.

Altogether I have around 70 hours of outtakes, and, as a wise man once said:

Thread revived.  Since we last discussed this (in thread form) there have been 4 first time played originals as well as the reappearance (for one night, anyway) of Love Lake.  I figure it\'s worth the bandwidth.

The List (songs that do not appear on a (Psychedelic) Breakfast album [Zone 1 not included])

Beer Jubilee
Bugs
The Chase
Cut Me Some Slack (instrumental)
Dig
Episode 3 (Awakening)
Funk-A (instrumental)
Funky Bill\'s Circus Clich? (instrumental)
Gladys Pimp & Kangaroos With Me
Good Things
Gypsy Girl
Hard Luck Harry
Honey Butter
Kote
The Late And Great
Language Of The Gods
Lit
Love Lake
May Fly Disarray
Merge
Prom \'97 (instrumental)
Psygn
Son Of Simpleton
Space City Affair (instrumental)
Sundance
Wake Up In A Coma (instrumental)
Za

And allow myself to quote... myself, from the initial post of this thread way back when...

In the process, he explained to me the entire Buquebus saga, for which the Episode text is merely the tip of the proverbial iceberg. I\'ve urged him to complete it as we all should. There\'s yet-to-be debuted songs that tie into the story, besides the ones that have already been played: the three Episodes, Buquebus, Gladys, Simpleton.

imagine what the next album could be like:

Gladys
Simpleton
Ep. 3

Mayfly CMSS HLH would make a cd but i caint wait for some new songs to come out Gladys Pimp could just jam into another song and it would work. They could just mash all the uncomplete song into one.

if there was ever a vote, HARD LUCK HARRY studio version all the way. i always loved the song, but it seems to last for me daily more than some others. it has become arguably my favorite song. how bout the ol\' inverted Hard Luck/Mayfly on an album, that **** would be so original out of a studio... i know, foolish thoughts.

Thus far we\'ve watched Requiem for a Heavyweight (1957), Marty, Say Anything..., Iron Jawed Angels, a few episodes of The Twilight Zone and, next week, THE PRICE IS RIGHT!

And that\'s a Communication major AND Television minor.

There\'s a lot of time to kill with no classes before noon and Fridays off... especially considering three of my classes are about TV (my homework this weekend is to watch the news).
that sounds like the curriculum of a Communications major.  Right?

I took this one film class 5 times @ UConn cause it was awesome.  Wednesday nights, saw some of the best movies ever made projected onto a pretty big screen (considering it was in a basement classroom).  Part of the myriad of reasons it took me a little extra time to get that diploma.

Matrix live shows for sale= THE money!!!
Title: The NEXT Breakfast Album
Post by: Steffmo on September 29, 2005, 01:02:07 am
This is precisely why Ifeel that the Band\'s studio CDs should offer stuff that we can only do in the studio....its the only way to give them value over what you see at live shows and can either record at a show, or download.

We are trying to get the band to put more shows on Disclogic for purchase, and also to get their merch situation together.  They waste a lot of opportunity to make money because no one on the road worries about this stuff..........

Sometime they are a little toooo,,,,ummm....Psychedelic

Yeah I have to agree.... I think not allowing taping would hinder more than help... I still think it would be a good idea to always have a few live shows available at the table though... which they used to. No reason why they couldn\'t let people tape at these shows that they plan to sell; the sales would be more geared to the non-internet savvy and those in the dark about tape trading. Tape trading? Jesus that was a really outdated sentence.

Also would be good for first-timers who were blown away and want some live material imediately. Don\'t say these people could just buy Bonafide either. Wrong answer! ;)

Dude you are sooo wrong. If the band stopped letting people tape they will remain a small bar band. They have NO PULL other than to the people on this board. Think about it. Maybe a show or 2 here and there would be a good idea but completely? How do they get new fans? Oh yeah people PAY for music all the time off the net. lol Come on guy.
definitely wouldn\'t work...it would set people back a lot. people were asking me at the merch table in suny if there were any live shows for sale. maybe if a couple of really insane shows were put on disc w/ graphics/cd art and what not that would be helpful, or some kind of promo like a free sticker or something for a $10 live show.

not to crap on your head jim, but if i wasn\'t able to download/burn breakfast shows i would kill you, let\'s not ever discuss that idea again.

I would love to hear studio versions of Gladys Pimp, Language, and Love Lake.  Drew I\'m wondering why you\'d be doubtful on those songs?
Ask and you shall receive...

QUESTIONABLE
--------------
Gladys Pimp & Kangaroos With Me - It doesn\'t really have an ending, and it\'s not exactly a great song without the sickest jam in the Breakfast catalog.
Language Of The Gods - This was the closest to being a "definite" that made this category.  Tie breaker: They haven\'t played it in over a month (08/12/05).
May Fly Disarray - Another close one.  I just don\'t see it fitting in the scope of an album (at least not with the CURRENT repitoire of songs).
Merge - More of a jam dressed up like a song, but could be turned into a song very easily.
Sundance - Not played enough right now.  Then again, this hypothetical album could be two years down the road.  How often were The Chase and Dig played when they were Real Radio possibilities?  Every night.
Wake Up in a Coma (instrumental) - Short and instrumental.  Plus, it\'s on Zone 1.

What about Love Lake?
