LOL Dude ok now that you finally got around to responding to my snide quip. I\'ll clue you in. I have toured w/ a band and know the cost. Also having incurred the cost of following a band for 2-3 weeks at a time. I could estimate how much it would be for 4 guys AND having to play an average of every third night for 2-3 weeks plus travel in a Van NOT a Tour Bus.
Nah I know it costs $$ Why else would I be causing a stink about it?
I\'ll put one of these ;) nxt time GUY
-
^^^^ they\'re starting a tour. it\'s hard to go across the country with little money too.
Is It? I wouldn\'t know.
driving a van that costs about $100 to fill and gets 10 miles to the gallon is a little more expensive than a round trip ticket. not to mention hotel rooms and food.
-
^^^^^ tim can rip up any guitar, just as long as he changes the strings !!
-
cant believe the top dawg of guitar world is guitarless.. i dont care what he gets, he just needs an f-in guitar asap.
tele stolen, sg broken, where is my guide to keep my ears rollin\'?
^^^^base for a new song for sure.. kind of an ode, really.
-
it\'s welcome to everyone. they are gonna let the band play as long as they want, literally. could be all night. tickets are $15 and i\'m pretty sure its something you\'re not going to want to miss.
these burlington kids are creamin their pants about this show and couldn\'t believe the band was in their frat the other night.
Sooo true
-
A strat would be awesome, but I love the tone on the SG SOOOOO much.
I really hope he doesn\'t get a telecaster, sorry Mark but I HATE the way those things sound.
-
Taylor Acoustic Fo Life!
-
Though I was never a huge fan of the tele, I though the one he had was sweet and sounded better, for him, than anything else he has played.
-
^^^ i think he was saying something about a strat........ i wish he\'d get another sg too
-
NO!!!!!!!!!!!111 It better be an SG DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!!111
-
^^^^^^^ i think he\'s planning on getting a new guitar
-
Is the SG NO LONGER playable or just getting it fixed???????
-
why was this show a secret? kind sucks that it was so close to where I am, yet I knew nothing about it so I didnt go.
Private show for UVM students.

he borrowed the opening band\'s guitarist\'s guitar (10-Year Typhoon, or something like that).. i guess there\'s a crack in the neck of the SG that just recently opened up, and it\'s not playable..
-
so tim got a new guitar? or was he borrowing someones?

i don\'t really see it as funny. pb used to be criticized in burlington by people saying " don\'t **** with our phish" now they are getting begged to play gigs there and they have a much larger vt. fan base than i expected. people out there know the breakfast\'s potential besides us. that\'s really nice to know
Bigger fanbase than expected? Come On guy. No Phish for sure=what else is there?
So I figure The Breakfast should play to PACKED houses when they go up there. As far as being begged to play there. I know if I was in college there I would of course want a band like The Breakfast as often as possible along w/ ANY other decent band. Hell it\'s College!
The thing is do they play to packed houses that are not college parties? I can see the idea of gaining new phans in the area but to play frat parties @ UVM is strictly a $$ thing to me which is fine. Phish did it and it worked for them.
As far as other people knowing The Breakfast\'s potential believe me thousands of people know their potential nationwide. I think they need to do something else Phish did. Ummm TOUR?
oh and btw Thread officially \'jacked.

i bet all the newbs at uvm were like "dude its just like when phish played here 20 years ago bro!"
My thoughts exactly. For a band that seemed to have fought hard to distinguish themselves from Phish(due to unfair comparisons) and w/ such a large portion of their vocal fanbase dissing other bands that "sound" like Phish I just find this kinda funny is all.
-
bs.confirmed
how was the turnout?
-
^^ PRIVATE PARTY for UVM students only
-
so why wasnt this show advertised?

I\'ll be the guy spinning in the front of the stag to make it offical...

Good who needs ya;)

Sounds too Phishy for me.

Do tell about this "Frat Show" that you let slip earlier. Is everyone welcome or do we gotta keep it small.
-
i was not even faced this time.
Now I know you are lying!!! ;) WOW! I gotta hear this then, it sounds like the style of jam that I love in Buquebus...totally leaving the theme building trance to a peak and then exploding back into the Last verse/chant of \'Queeb. The first one I really remember doing that was the 12/16/04 Cafe9 version.
TEAM \'QUEEB FO\' LIFE!!!
-
^^^^^^ it really was Walshy. i was thinking during the techno sytle jam, "SO FAR this is better than the puppethouse buquebus." once the final jam was beginning, i knew it was better. the last jam out of the eat your breakfast part had to be 10 minutes........it was so intense people were going crazy. i even went to ellis and dobz during the final jam and told them. i guess you\'ll just have to listen to it, but i thought it blew puppethouse\'s away AND i was not even faced this time.
-
"the Buquebus was better than that of the puppethouse. i couldnt believe how good it was...they jammed it soooooo hard and long right till the very end."
That is a BOLD statement there gggggggguy! I have to hear this to believe it. I definitely want to hit UVM in December...ahh Lake Champlain in the Winter!
-
setlist is incomplete. i\'ll update it when i listen to it again tomorrow. there was also a superfly in there, along with a drum solo.
i added some teases to the setlist. quality show after listening to it on the ride home today.
-
Was this last minute or what? How was Buquebus?
This looks like one of the best setlists this year:
Sundance, Beef Barley > Tom Sawyer, LDZ > Beef Barley, Fairy, Buquebus, Hard Luck Harry > Taboo Or Not Taboot, In The Flesh
Taped???
the Buquebus was better than that of the puppethouse. i couldnt believe how good it was...they jammed it soooooo hard and long right till the very end. hard luck was kinda weak......the jam didnt really go anywhere. overall a good show...the UVM kids LOVED it. they invited us all to a frat party which was pretty nuts. there\'s going to be a show at that frat on December 7th so make sure your calenders are clear. Dobz taped it with is stuff because it was raining and didnt want to ruin the mics.
-
Can\'t beleive they played a Tom Sayer for those bastards. Have\'nt heard them play it since Cafe 9, last year......DAMN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!:pissed:

-
the show was outdoors.. it was rainy, but apparently they had a pretty big band shell.. i guess it was just some random UVM event..
i\'m leaving for wormtown in a little bit.. i\'ll have a full report later..
-
