It isn\'t a totally done deal yet.....but we are working on a bunch of co billed dates with New Monsoon. Their manager is a long time bud of mine.   We would headline easte coast and they headline west coast.

Remember now....thats a work in progress that OI\'m sharing because thye conversation is heading that way.  There are a lot of technical things that need to ne ironed out still.

thats a great idea. those guys are a good band. kinda like if string cheese was ser.

Any chance that the band will use Crescendo to leverage their exposure to new fans in other geographic regions, specifically by pairing up with other bands represented by Crescendo?  Yonder Mountain String Band, The Motet and Ray\'s Music Exchange are all buzz names on Jambase.com.  From reports given by Leith, it seems that TLG is getting huge gigs simply by their association to the same booking agency that Trey is represented by.
I would say that in the case of TLG some talent is being noticed also. It just helps a whole lot to be w/ the same booking agency.

it also helps that Dennis McNally is helping with TLG Publicity.  Dennis used to be publicist for the Grateful Dead (and currently Ratdog) and he is basically calling in favors for TLG and getting them out there...

That\'s what I like to hear, thanks for keeping us in-the-loop, Vic!

Its farther along than that....we are looking at an east coast leg, where they need some help....and a West coast...were we can use help north of LA.

The point is to go into market where we can expose each other to each bands fans....hopefully drawing better than by ourselves.

Probably Feb/March of next year.

absolutely agree zurflu. opening for a band like Yonder in CO (and most places for that matter) would instantly gain a bigger fan-base. getting that slot cant be easy though.

so the answer is yes. if TLG wasnt with a big booking agency they dont have the kind of talent that could jump their status to well-known by the country overnight. cuz if that was the case........ wellll then again i just realized that we are called The Breakfast. still hurts, a lot. fuckin shame.

Let\'s put TLG aside for a moment; I\'m hoping that The Breakfast may be able to find some allies within the Crescendo universe.

Most of their other talent is based in distant cities (specifically CO), prime places to garner new fans.

Also, it seemed like the band was making in-roads with bands like TLG, Umphrey\'s, JFJO etc. a few years ago, though I haven\'t heard about their inclusion of the Breakfast since.  I\'m hoping that the community is getting big enough that all chatter doesn\'t necessarily flow down to the message board.  These relationships definitely seemed liked strategic initiatives that could be pivotal to their growth.  Pairing up with well-known bands can surely be an accelerant to their potential.

The weather in CT sucks, if it wasn\'t for my Breakfast addiction I would be here. I am not all that fond of living in CT. I would survive for longer then a week, I hope I would. I was thinking mor of moving to Cali, where I have a bunch of college friends out there. I know quite a lot of people in Colorado too. BTW, There is a reason I am called Spacey.

All I need are dates to be announced and I will start planning on doing a trip or just straight up and moving.

I give you a week out there in the Rockys before that thin mountain air has got you with an oxygen tank strapped to your back....
not to mention the altitude totally **** with your alcohol tolerance level..it is kind of a good thing to get drunk for less money though

Woohoo! It\'s about time, the boys deserve someone to do this grunt work. AND I do hope a central booking agent will help us out WEST (just so they don\'t go on tour while I\'m out EAST :))!

As for new booking. I like to see the base of operations is in Colo. That could mean more western dates as their contacts should be plentiful out here. Speaking of Colo. an extended run through there may be cause for another flight.

This is great news. Some good name bands on that list. I hope everything works out for the band and that the rest of the country can eat their Breakfast.

Maybe some dates in the West for the winter months? Be a nice vacation.
