I gotta say once again Thank You to The Breakfast for this night. Upon further listening to The Doors set, I have had a total change of view on the album Morrison Hotel. It is a great album and the guys did it justice in everyway possible. I am still not the biggest Doors fan but my Mom Is and she absolutely LOVED what the guys did. I sent her that disc and Sgt. Pepper\'s as the rest of what they play is waaaay too much for her. She did enjoy the Beatles set but as I said she LOVED the Doors set. So anyway thanks again to the best band around.

OK I just finished listening to Great Big Fiery Ball In The Sky. This could possibly be the best I have ever heard these guys play. THEY OWNED MY FACE THROUGH MY STEREO!!!!!!!!!

Tim sets the Bar with that sweet slow guitar picking and then they pick it up. Rons Bass line is bumping. Jordans doing these subtle accents then lets you have it, Ardians just filling everything. Each one of them took that bar and set it higher for the next guy. CRAZY
Yeah I really hear the exploration off of each other more and more each time they play this tune. I think that when the dam breaks the band is going to be as surprised as the audience that night. That night is coming soon. I\'m sure of it. This song keeps getting "best of" comments from someone different each show.

With all the talk about night 2 have you people listened to night 1, set 3 was soooo insain. i can\'t believe there are so little props for this night. i think if the party didn\'t get shut down it could have seriously gone all night long.

LOL I was just thinking this last nite as I was listening to it. I was going to blow off writing a review of it but after listening last nite I just may write it.
Night one was ripping just check the posts right after the show much excitement but tired people.

Well my review of this night is now up if any one is interested.  I wish more people would write reviews. I think they are fun to read.

How was the first encounter with Frederick?

I walked up to him in front of the Puppethouse, he stuck his hand out and I shook it w/ a smile and introduced myself. As he was talking w/ some other people, we left it @ that. As the show was about to begin he sidles up to me and says" What you want? I got whatever you need" I had to chuckle a bit and tell him I was all set. From there it was like we had been friends forever. The guy is a bit rough around the edges but a nicer guy you\'ll never meet. As YOU HAVE TOLD me b4! LOL

Just finished listening to this show and what can i say...Can\'t wait for tommorow night!  its great being able to relive the show sober and rested only 48 hours later! much thanks to dave for that. also got to catch up on what i missed, which is most of the first set
I thought the Morrison Hotel album was a ser choice indeed   when Timmy started playing the Roadhouse Blues riff i was sold...the Puppet House really felt like a Road House all the way down thimble island road with all the cars lined up and people chillin outside, all the smoke and booze inside, coolers filled to the brim with ice and beer lining each wall and a ser pit in the taper section.
i was def surprised to come back today and see all the posts that start as "i\'m not such a doors fan so..."  but i can def see how it might have been a let down for some folks, seeing as the albums in the puppet house predictions thread were a bit more ambitious ie hot rats, overnite sensation, electric ladyland, etc.  But thats also what i really liked about the doors cover instead of playing an album that i already can totally dig on, they played the **** out of an album that i prob haven\'t listened to since highschool and almost always overlook when selecting a cd.  And i most of all i think the guys did a sick job recreating the feeling of the album, not just playing the songs in sequence. Def have a new appreciation for these songs and the album as a whole.
But enuff rambling, anyone else hear the willie the pimp teases at the end of GBFBITSer jam?

jam to start set three includes a "Give Up the Funk (Tear the Roof Off This Sucker)" (Parliament) tease.

I\'m not a Doors fan at all.  The band played amazingly, but I couldn\'t completely get into a Doors set.  Though I would love to hear "You Make Me Real" in the covers rotation.  Great set closer.  Freddie Wah promises "something special" for tonight.  Glad that I\'m one of the five people who doesn\'t know (or want to know) what they are going to play.

If set one had one or two more songs and an encore, it could have been a show by itself.  Un-flippin\' believeable.  Even SERer confirmed face ownage than usual.

I assume the "Garcian" tease counts as the ending.  How about a Gladys Pimp Part 2 opener tonight?
Drew, I\'m with you on all points. Not a big Doors fan, but hey they nailed the whole thing perfectly. Adrian\'s solo last night was just plain sick. The only logical opener for tonight=Gladys!

Amazing 1st set. Great to meet everyone.Thanx all for making me soooo comfy in CT. Doors set was played well and if I liked the Doors more I would have loved it. As it is I liked it. NOW why did ya all not tell me the po po did not like music here. I mean they could have just had us close the doors and let the band play sheesh. That 3rd set was about to go ballistic and then noooooo time to be done? That sucked!!
Other than that I\'m looking forward to tonite and i am w/ Drew in being clueless as to the album tonite. Oh yeah Gravity was the **** and Escher\'s owned ser face!!!!!!!

a couple notes about the \'jams\' -

the jam into no regret was pretty much the jam at the end of Mike\'s Song (Phish)... big time. check it out.

the jam to open set 3 is based off a song that used to be called \'When I Have Some Time\'. the song was written by Naked Society (Tim, Ron, Adrian, and I) back around 1995.. the ending section of WIHST became \'See The Light\' (the first part). Adrian told me a couple weeks ago that the rest of WIHST is going to become a new original. so when they started playing it, i thought it was a \'first time played\', but it ended up being just a jam. anyways, look out for a new song based on these licks in the near future..

Ladies and gentlemen, your Breakfast Archivist.  (That\'s why he makes the big $$$.)  It\'s gonna be funny when the band hangs it up and we get yearly releases of "Peck\'s Picks".

You\'ve been warned.

I love it when you talk this way.

I will be there early and ready for 9.

I am so ready for this evening.

Is there an opener for tonight, is it still G-Spot?

Was it just me or was that place filled with good looking girls last night?

There was a good mix of men/women.

Here is an idea. Cut out the opening band, who I noticed is double booked for this evening. (G-Spot Tornado has another gig at Toads)

They should go on stage at the right time so there isn\'t a riot tonight.

How many times did Jordan come out, and have to tell the fans to leave last night?

Gladys closer to open the show tonight would be made ill.

Great time last night, one hell of a party. Tha place was packed, faces that you normally would see at the front were trapped in the back.

quick sets that contained some serious jammin\'.

Gravity again did not disappoint. GBFBITS is on track once again.

The band sounded great. Thanks Dobs.

Someone needs to control Ellis-D on the lights before he blows off someones head.

I don\'t even know why I am up right now. Maybe, I am too excited for tonight.
