Well, at least you know I didn\'t do it. Dave, my condolences. To the person who did it, you\'re a **** and should be ashamed to be called anyone\'s "friend."

Gray Did It.
 Man, is he still getting the blame for everything?? It comes to something when you can make a comment like that and it gets missed by all - guess the gray incident was a LONG time ago now.
On a serious note, however, can I just add my 2 euros worth of disgust at someone turning over dave\'s house after all he\'s done for the community.
-
Dave I am terribly sorry to hear about this.
You know I will chop off thumbs or break kneecaps if need be...

the more i think about this, the more it pisses me off. dave is one of the most loving, giving people i know, and while i haven\'t known him for long, he\'s quickly become one of my favorite people. i\'ve got a lot of gratitude for this guy, he definitly played a HUGE part in making me feel instantly at home with this "family".
Well put. I met Dave early in my breakfast days and he definitly made me feel like part of the family and was always offering to give me rides to shows since I didn\'t know a lot of people who went. Dave is the most generous person I have ever met, inviting everyone to his house, spending loads of money on food and drinks, not to mention all the time it takes to prepare for a party of that size. That is totally **** up that someone would take advantage of anyone in the breakfast family, but especially Dave and Lisa. Whoever did it, I hope you are reading this and know that everyone thinks you are an ass. And as far as the people telling Dave to let it go, I\'m sure you\'re just trying to help and all, but it\'s not that easy to let something like that go. It makes you wonder who you can trust and changes the atmosphere of the whole breakfast family because you know there is someone around who has no qualms about stealing your **** and screwing you over.
Cori... Branford...
Does this mean Payne finally joined the board?

Sorry to hear that someone ruined what sounded like an otherwise stellar occasion. I have had the privilege to meet a couple of .info\'ers and they have been very friendly and gracious. Don\'t lose faith but learn from the past.

I havent been online for the past couple of days but billychags told me about this last night. There are always rotten apples in every family and they always eventually decompose and disappear.
Dave, I am sorry to hear about what happened, I think you did the right thing by posting this and I hope you find out what happened for your peace of mind...
and thanks again for an amazing day and night....

Who the **** ruins a party like this? Whoever is bringing negative energy around you better run cause your gonna eat cement!
-
Peck. I can\'t believe someone would do something so ludicrously uncool. Especially after you and LIsa threw such a great party. I have to say I enjoyed myself thoroughly. 2 kegs, a pool, a fabulous spread, tons of liquor and killer music. It made for a great time. I\'m sorry an invitee would do somehing so underhanded, i hope the culprit steps up
-
That really is the worst thing I have ever heard. I left stag festivities early(well 1:30-1:45) to try to make it to Pec\'s just to show I was thankful he was having a party that I had RSVP\'d to (forgettting I had a stag to go to) and was wondering why he wasn\'t his jovial self...I figured it was just cause he was drunk...he didn\'t even want to do a hyperslut????
Dave I am sorry that this happened to you but I do agree with Duane...try hard not to let this sully your view of the "Family" that has sprouted around this band...in my memory I can\'t think of anything like this EVER happening in our Breakfast scene. Karma will come back to spite this miscreant and hopefully it will be swift.
-
alcohol is no excuse, actually it\'s the worst excuse. it would mean that under the vail of friendship that you show toward Dave, that got you invited to this party, you actually have no respect for him at all. That you\'re really just a scumbag. Actually I apologize to scumbags for comparing them to this thing.
-
what a cocksmoker! may whoever stole peck\'s **** o.d on it, or at least have a severe allergic reaction that requires hospitalization!
-
There\'s also the possibility that someone was very drunk (or another form of intoxication) and committed this violation at your home with very little thought. I\'ve seen lots of people do things they wouldn\'t normally do if they hadn\'t let their condition get out of hand. It\'s still a terrible excuse, though it does give you the option of knowing that possibly none of the family would do this in a state of sobriety.
Regardless, Dave has been completely devoted to the band and fans since day 1. He brings us together on a daily basis via the forums and allows people from all parts of the globe to connect. I have often asked how he has the time to maintain such a high level of devotion to his work, personal life, thebreakfast.info, taping/transferring/uploading/archiving shows and also attending such a great number of shows. Thank you for everything!

i was thinking that mama...maybe a shadey friend of a friend?
you should let it go dave old newb is right. Karma has your back always. You dont even have to ask. It just does.
-
very sad!! unfortunately, when you are as generous as dave and lisa, someone will come along and take advantage. it just comes with the territory i guess. try to let it go dave. sometimes **** just happens and theres nothing you can do about. if you let it change you, you\'ll be hurt more than you ever would be by losing some stuff. you guys are great and life goes on. come see me at the puppet house and we\'ll share a nice headie beer and toast the **** demise!
-
i am having such a hard time believing that anyone on this board/anyone i have met in this group of people would do such a thing..yeah some of us can be shady, but not like that to our friends. were there any people there that came along with people that no one knew or anything like that?
-
yea $1000 bucks on a party for the family that is KIND.
I guess there is always one bad apple no matter how tight the family is.
BUT on a brighter note this one bad thing does point out how swell the fam is on a whole ;)

bummer. who would commit such a shadeball act in the house of peck? I would have pocket checked everyone.
Unfortunately, by the time he found out, a lot of people had left. And the scumbag who did this probably went immediately to their car to drop off "their loot". Really puts a hurting feeling towards my thoughts of "our family". Never would have expected it out of this group. :sigh:

damn, that sucks!! sorry dave, your parties were always top notch. Wish we could have made it, wish this didn\'t happen.
-
i can guarantee that itll come out sooner or later.
until then,know that theres a scumbag around.\\
again,thanks for a great party.
me and livie had a ball..
-
dave, i\'m sorry to hear that. whoever would do something like that in your house is a pathetic low life scum bag.
couldn\'t have said it better myself. how low can you get?!!
-
That\'s completely ****. I\'m not gonna say that sucks, cos well, in my opinion it doesn\'t suck, it is way beyond \'that sucks\'. Although I can\'t offer much, if there\'s anything I can do let me know Dave, my brother has my number.
-
Dave, if it\'s any consolation, the sick person who stole from you is most likely in a lot of pain and suffering from their sickness and statistically, they will probably die from it.
edit: i might add the reason i wasn\'t able to attend is that my service was required elsewhere helping someone who has been in the clutches of that same sickness. so i dunno if it helps to hear that for one addict that was reaching a new low in CT, there was one in NY reaching out for help and got it...
-
I\'m sorry to hear that. I\'m new on the scene, but one of the things I noticed is how welcoming everyone is-how nice and warm and funny-just a great group of people to be around.
That\'s a low, awful thing.
-
Pitiful, very sad to know and hard to believe someone from this group could stoop so low.

:( that sucks dave...........thanks for the great time

...please read.
i wasn\'t going to post this. but i thought long and hard about it, and figured this would be my only chance to say what i have to say to this particular person, since i doubt they will ever have the balls to own up to what they did, so here it is.
so as many of you know, we had a little party on saturday, and a lot of you were there, quite frankly, because i consider a lot of you my family. but never in a million years did i think a member of my family would come into my house and steal from me. never.
and of course, someone went and made an ass out of me on saturday, raiding our medicine cabinet and emptying out a couple perscription bottles.
lisa and i spent weeks planning and prepping for the party, as well as spending well over $1000 on it. apparently that just wasn\'t enough for someone, and they felt the need to steal from our home.
unfortunately, i found this news out before the party was over (around 1:30am), and it absolutely ruined my day. i wanted to go outside right then and there and tell everyone to leave. i was sick to my stonach, and i felt like crying. i did none of the above, and continued to *try* to have a good time. i couldn\'t make that happen though - it was too late.
i\'ve had trouble sleeping the past few nights, because when i put my head on my pillow, all i can think about is the unknown \'friend\' who stole from us.
so, if you\'re reading this, i\'m asking that you step up and come forward. i\'m not looking to make a fool out of you like you made a fool out of me; i just need answers. while i know it\'s a long shot, i just want to know what we ever did to you that would make you want to steal from us. or are drugs just way more important than \'family\' to you? these are the questions i\'ve been going to bed with every night. i really hope you got a nice high, or some nice dough from what you stole.
but, you\'ll probably just tell me it sucks, just like everyone else.. and you probably won\'t think twice about shaking my hand the next time you see me. and if you do choose to go that spineless route, i want you to know that i really, sincerely hope that you choke.
to the rest of you, i hope you had a really nice time. unfortunately, it probably won\'t happen again.
thanks for reading.
