i\'d like to propose that we all make an effort to reduce negativity on this board. i\'ll speak only for myself when i say that its something i\'d rather not surround myself with or read about. i love you guys, but when you\'re at each others throats, it lowers my energy just reading it. leith, i suggest taking a stance of acceptance when it comes to certain other individuals on this board. obviously you have issues with the way they live, but try to accept it as there is very little you can do about it. i dunno i just really get sick of all the negativity, maybe we could try to change that.....
If anyone can even remember the time, I was pretty much one of the most positive posters on this board and pbfans. I have realized that as this was the first message board I EVER posted on(PB was that good as I posted directly after my first show) i have been conditioned to be a similar poster as the ones that are so vehemently defended on this board. That is to say argumentative,crass,and demeaning to others. This sickens me and thus I took a break.
I try real hard to only post positively and yes I try to instigate debate but it usually dissolves into petty arguments due to my failure to ignore ignorant posts meant to only incite me. I agree w/ the self moderation of negativity you speak of but I just do not see some people changing their posting"style" anytime soon.
I have been wrong b4 though.

if anyone would like to have an actual discussion about \'The SER Board\', please start a new thread. there is absolutely NO point to posts like the one above. none.
if you have a problem with someone, take it up with them via private message, email, IM, phone call, house visit, or ANYTHING other than here. thank you.

I don\'t want this to sound negative but this is a message board. We were simply having a conversation. I never target anyone on purpose with the intention of harm. I believe some people may have interpreted the conversation differently then I. We are all entitled to our own opinions and beliefs. If I offended anyone I am sorry. Leith, I have nothing against you and I believe that you are a good person. I would like to believe that the conversation was just that, and not negative. To all of you out there, get bent ;)

forum wah does not equal reality wah, I will confirm that. The guy has nothing but love for people at shows and it shows. Hell, now that it comes to mind, last time he went to give me a friendly hug at a show I think he went for my ass. . .

If memory serves me correctly and it does, Wah was THE poster on PBfans that reached out in his weird way to "teach" me if you will gonzo mb posting. Something which was at first fun and never taken personally has now come to the point where we have both promised to inflict physical damage upon each other w/o having ever met? Yeah I take responsibility for my part in it but believe me when I say this would never had gotten so far if Wah was truly so kind and caring. Just no way.

its just a request. i just dont think people realize how negativity affects ANYONE AND EVERYONE around it. i like you all a lot, but if i want to maintain a high level of spiritual energy i cannot be surrounding myself with such negative energy. it detracts from what i am trying to add to.

Ser has nothing do to with the breakfast at all.....I mean it was brought to the surface from the band and its "scene".....and most people do think its stupid...but hey, people can think what they want to...I am still gonna sport my ser shirt whenever i want....

My point exactly. If the owner/creator of the word SER had copyrighted this then you all could make a fuss. But they didn\'t. So live with it. Quit bitching about a stupid word.
As for the shirt, it is just a shirt. Any exposure is good exposure. We are talking about a word here people. Go and use the word SER outside of this community today and say it to someone who has no idea who the Breakfast are and see your response.
The word SER reaches farther then any of you really know. As far as any of us know, this other message baord could be done by this evening. I choose to go to other boards, because, frankly, this board goes crickets at points in the day, everyone is signed on and no one talks, so **** it, I go and make crazy talk in other place.
For the first time I realized that someone wishes they were in my panties. Of course, I don\'t wear any underwear, ever.

As far as copyrighting SER Spacey I am an honest person who believes that the creator of something has the first right to copyright their creation and should be given ample time to do so.
Oh and a big reason I bought the shirt was that it had both a killer BREAKFAST song on it and .info associating the word w/ said band I think that\'s how it works.
I believe for the first time I think you need to get your panties untwisted. Go have fun there just know SER is forever sullied.

.info is,and will always be the breakfast fans messageboard. thats how id prefer it anyway.dave does a great job holding it together,and is always striving to make it better.i take my hat off to the kid.when i think dedication,i think dpeck.no bullshit involved.however,
the ser board,which will probably change the name of today or tommorow,is a place to get away,and discuss **** thats not necessarily kosher to discuss here.
if you wanan sign up,feel free.

A lot of you do not know or understand the extent to which SER is used outside this community. Just because it originated here doesn\'t mean that we own it. It was used outside of here on another message board long before this other one surfaced. I find it sad that you are all this upset over a word and a **** t-shirt.
There is very little association with the Breakfast (the band) and the word SER outside of this message board. Hate to break it to you all. If you loved it so much, why didn\'t you copy right it?

Yeah real nice. Take something that was rather Breakfast crowd specific even spawning a fan "lot" shirt and make it the name of a message board for the juvenile antics of a few. So now instead of SER being associated w/ the best rock quartet to come out of New Haven it will be associated w/ a message board of idiocy in the name of free speech. Real freakin\' nice.
