Fair. Fair.

But you are alone in your decision to not vote. C\'mon Spacey, show your stars and stripes.
all in due time my good man, all in due time.

But you are alone in your decision to not vote. C\'mon Spacey, show your stars and stripes.
-
good to know that I am not alone in this digital world
-
I\'m with you on this one Spacey. What do you do when epics clash? Vote for the one with lyrics unlike any the band has produced with the catchy-as-crabs chorus. Rufus.
-
not I JimCobb, I am Team Buquebus, I just was saying Rufus has some catch chorus lines. Slam me in my face is what I say.
-
who needs to sing along when you\'re being SLAMMED IN THE FACE with the most epic, serest instrumental the world has ever seen?
-
tight battle.
Rufus does have an excellent chorus and some great lines to sing along to.
-
Rufus was my vote as I am a fan of lyrics I can sing along with. Only reason. Scheme is an Epic in it\'s own right but the song just does not groove me like Rufus does.
-
I actually had a dream last night starring Mike "Biggie" Cook. He\'s the guy who can be heard on every Butterfield tape and the Baker Quad show yelling "PLAY THE **** SCHEME!" This vote is for him.

Hasn\'t this gone on long enough?

This poll will close on 07-20-2005 at 09:17 PM
-
when does the voting end? i want to wait as long as possible before voting here.
-
more times i listen to Scheme, i have no problems with Rufus losing here... even though i did vote Rufus. TGSOT has like 300 riffs that could be the base of a song, instead its all in one.
-
seriously, nothing can top the epic serness of the grand scheme of things. i remember the first time i heard this song. :jawdrop: that is what i looked like. i will vote for scheme till the bitter end, it\'s the breakfast\'s best song IMO.
i feel somehow responsible
damn straight. comin home from chappaqua, on 133 in milwood.
"dude, you gotta hear this song, it\'s called the grand scheme of things."
many thanks, my friend.

tgfsot vs.eppie2 in the finals..
should be interesting
don\'t go countin your chickens just yet, its only a 4 vote difference.

Recently happened to have listened to Rufus from the Bona Fide album, and I would have to agree it is a killer version.
-
havent voted yet. but noticed their are already nearly 60 votes. strange how we couldnt get that many for the other rounds.
-
what a tough tough choice to make. The grand shhhkeeeeem of life basically is an amazing compossition with some great rythmic patterns and it is fun to dance to. The roofing song is an energy buildin fun time with lots to think about and dance to as well. Both tunes are great to listen to and they all give great audience energy for all to soak up and enjoy. I voted but I shall not say online which is my best.... see ya in the thick of it
-
Why is the ending of TGSOT cut off?
the version it is taken from is tracked scheme > drum solo > scheme (3 tracks).. only the first track is linked.

I will have to go with TGSOT here people....I will also be calling for it and hoping it will be the encore or at least closer for the boys at 10klf!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Definitely features all 4 members and does a damn good job at portraying all of their talents. I was playing this for a guy the other night and told him to pay very close attention.....the ending in my opinion is the best. I love how they drag it on and on and then tease you with the last notes.
Dave, which show is this TGSOT from?
-
Tgfsot.
-
if anyone is still unsure. check out http://www.gdradio.net in about 20 minutes.....
-
Scheme, no question. I just tied it up, hopefully ll you ditzes who need lyrics realize that Scheme is supreme! :P
-
dave you took the words right out of my mouth. I have to go with rufus!
-
This was an easy enough decision for me. Rufus is great, but it can\'t compare with TGSOT.
-
R-U-F-U-S, and you nonvoters need to suck it up and pick one, there are no ties.
-
What is the current score? I haven\'t voted and so the results (thus far) aren\'t displayed before me
-
Rufus is def. an old friend of mine, crowd pleaser, great **** song, etc. etc. Lord knows I love the "Reba" type jams that come of it.. The feeling that is aquired when one hears the first few notes.. and then there\'s Scheme! maybe I haven\'t seen enough of it, and what I have witnessed have been redonkulous (see 11/27/04 Sully\'s Set 1 Closer).. The way I see it, TGSOT is as close to insanity as I\'ll know for now, and boy is it something. I feel it showcases the capabilities of these guys on a higher level..enough of my rambles.. The Grand **** Scheme of Things takes the cake, this time around..
-
The first time I heard Rufus, my jaw dropped to the floor. I swear I was seeing chords and hearing colors, it was so ser. Rufus hands down.
:that:
:jawdrop:

tgfsot=epic.consermified

I\'ve gotta go with Grand but what show is that Rufus from? It is a smokin\' version.
-
I\'m calling in a tie on my part.

I\'m not sure if I\'m going to vote for either of the battles.
-

-
the grand scheme of things is one of my favorite songs ever.

freddie your awake!!
Team Rufus

Tgfsot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
-
I\'ve never been a huge fan of TGSOT... I mean, it\'s good, but I\'ll take Rufus any day of the week.... the Rufus jam on Bonafide is one of the best pb jams in history.
-
i still remember the first time i heard Rufus - i just could not get it out of my head afterwards. wanted to listen to it over and over again. the chorus brings such a smile to my face, it\'s stu...
i\'m going rufus.
I still remember my first Rufus too: 8-16-2000 at the Living Room. Dave comes over to me when the song begins and tells me how good the new song is, though I have to admit it went over my head the first time I heard it and didn\'t share the hype till the 2nd listening.
I\'m not sure I can vote in the final - too difficult.
-
how the eff is rufus beating the grand scheme of things???
-
Rufusss!!
*ouch don\'t yell so loud don\'t you know it\'s black thursday*
-
Scheme for sure
-
team scheme 4 life.
-
and this is where it gets tough..
two of the band\'s best 4 songs (so we say), and yet entirely different.
on the one hand, you have the elusive scheme - instrumental.. possibly the band\'s most complex composition, with many different sections, each showing the supreme talent of all 4 band members..
on the other hand, there is Rufus. another monster, but this one with catchy lyrics, a shitload of fun, and tons of room for improv.. i still remember the first time i heard Rufus - i just could not get it out of my head afterwards. wanted to listen to it over and over again. the chorus brings such a smile to my face, it\'s stu...
i\'m going rufus.
-
My love for rufus (although not displayed very well this tourny) is very strong, i truely consider it one of the many truely great breakfast originals....but i personally do not find it to be as original or should i say face meltingly mind blowing as some of the grand schemes i have heard. Plus the treatment it recieved on RR was absolutly ser as it just makes the album for me....if GSOT wasn\'t on RR i could start to understand where all the RR bashers are coming from....But a new studio version of the old PB original along with tunes such as score, gravity, and one of my personal favs Dimension 5, make this album one to be remembered...IMO of course
-
tgsot is balls to the walls but I have to go Rufus.
