looks like the going rate on ebay is in the $70 range...

Just checked out Amazon for the extra special edition on Lebowski you wouldn\'t believe how much this thing is going for. Should have bought it when it was 50 bucks, instead of the $190 some peple are asking for now....

just got/opened my collector\'s set from amazon yesterday.. ($34 shipped).. haven\'t watched yet, but the packaging is killer, and i think the extras are a must for lebowski fans..

So has anyone picked this up yet? What are the extras like? Any commentary tracks, The Coen brothers have never done one but I would love just to have a track w/ Bridges and Goodman, is the collectors edition worth the $50 bucks or so?

Final disc specs have arrived from Universal for The Big Lebowski: Collector\'s Edition. The cult classic arrives with a newly remastered anamorphic widescreen transfer and Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. Bonus materials will include an introduction by Mortimer Young (more Coen Brothers tomfoolery), "The Making Of The Big Lebowski" documentary and a gallery of photographs by actor Jeff Bridges. Retail will be $19.98. Also available for a limited time only is The Big Lebowski: Achiever\'s Edition Gift Set featuring the widescreen DVD, a bowling shammy towel, picture coasters with quotable lines from the movie and photo cards from Jeff Bridges\' personal collection. Retail for this will be $49.98.

let me know how that works out. i was gonna post a scan of the questioned page of the screen play, but i\'m running into problems with the image host page and it\'s too close to dinner time to try and figure out what i\'m doing wrong.

I found a book: "The Making of a Coen Brothers Film - The Big Lebowski" in a used book store a few years back. the directors, set designers, custom folk basically go scene to scene breaking the whole movie down. I just got through a 4 page breakdown by the woman that did the customs of how she dressed turtorro for his scene\'s. it\'s laugh out loud funny.

jim, that\'s funny that you did that..some guy invited me over to watch the big lebowski but this was when i was a sophmore in high school. maybe it worked for you but he did not get laid lol

YES! serious, i am a HUGE fan of this movie. that was like... my angle in college. i was the big lebowski guy, with my autographed picture of jeff bridges and BL poster, and i would get laid by going to parties and saying to chicks, "oh ****, you\'ve never seen the big lebowski? seriously, we gotta go back to my place and see that movie, come on." worked every time. ;)

being that this was my first time seeing the big lebowski, i somehow got it mixed up with the big green and was really confused that the movie was not about soccer.

I read somewhere that there\'s a yearly BL convention run out in Vegas. People come dressed as characters, they run a bowling tourney, etc.

Universal Studios has just announced The Big Lebowski: Collector\'s Edition for release on October 18th.
The only info for now is separate anamorphic widescreen and fullscreen editions and a retail of $19.98. A Gift Set will be available as well for $49.98.
