The shows are usually on archive pretty soon, though, right?

Please somebody get this poor girl this DVD/Audio file STAT!

lol - I might need a copy for me too... I downloaded the BT onto Azureus, & I have the file on my computer but it won\'t play! I have no idea how to get these darn .flac files to open up & play, goddamnit! Can u help? :)

if you burn cds with nero all you need is the flac frontend (http://cyberial.com/flacinstaller.asp). after you install that you can drag the flac files into nero to burn an audio cd. if you use another program to burn cds you can use the flac frontend to convert the flac files to wave files and then burn those in whatever program you use.
Thanks for the help Fitz! ;)

Freespirit lives in Hamden, I\'m sure you can by pass the postman. Being poor doesn\'t mean nothing. I have no money, and haven\'t missed a show yet.

Kate - I\'m still trying to figure out my DVD burning software, I would be glad to send you a copy of the audio on cd.  (pm me your addy)

Fuckin A! I was so damn drunk last night that I forgot I was still downloading the DVD and I shut my PC down. Should be done by morning now.

I still want the separate audio so I\'m going to start that one now.

how\'s that rufus sound from friday?? better than the plantation club one??

The Rufus from Plantation Club is one of high caliber and tough to beat. I still have not "heard" the Toad\'s Place Rufus. I watched the DVD last night, to drunk to remember. On Friday, the story was pretty much the same. This Rufus is still pretty SER though.

I wish i read your post sooner... i downloaded Azureus & it\'s taken 3 hours so far & it\'s only 50% finished!  Damn this high-speed crap - its no faster than dial up :pissed:

no one has a complete copy yet, so everyone is backed up and only going as fast as i can upload. once there are complete copies distributed it will speed up. but of course by that time you will be done with yours and it wont matter anymore.

we\'re all just sitting here in anticipation don\'t worry! ;)

The shows are usually on archive pretty soon, though, right?

lately i have not been going out of my way to upload to archive. its so much more work. it takes literally one minute to put a show on BT. for archive once its uploaded you have to import it manually so it shows up in the database, then you have to wait a few hours, or sometimes up to a few days.

the last couple times i added stuff to archive there were problems. I know its important to get the shows on archive eventually so nothing gets lost, but i think BT is the best way to distribute the shows as quick as possible right after the show.

Plus solo timmy shows are not on archive at all, so you have to use BT either way. So get used to it!

Because I am at school on the schools network, I am unable to use any of these file sharing programs because of the firewall.  Is there a way around this?

depends, some people skip BT and go straight to archive. all depends on the uploader and the response of the archive admins.

Is torrent better than archive? Archive is a lot easier to use...should I maybe read up on BT stuff and try it?

i would say use bittorrent for the recent shows whenever possible. if you are sharing on bittorrent you are helping to make the downloads faster for everyone. archive is good place for the older stuff to have a permamnent home.

Archive and BT are the same quality. One is stored so you can download a show from start to finish. BT is downloading a show in bits from numerous people. The more people on a BT the quicker a file will download.

Bitcomet is a very good BT Client.
