Yeah, we need a better zoom feature on the "northeast clusterfuck," as you like to say, Dave.
-
i\'ve got a really good map or 2 if Mr. Peck would like to incorporate them.

kate, fantastic idea!
now, everyone go check out the newest feature of the site.
enjoy!
Great Idea! I used to be a geography whiz in elementary school and always enjoying looking at maps.
One criticism: I can\'t seem to zoom in close enough to get an exclusive view of a single state. For example, Connecticut is cluttered with Breakfast fans though it will be tough to see how the membership is spread throughout the state unless there is further zooming capabilities.
OK so since I didn\'t zoom in, and placed myself in Maine, how do I move?
Looks like you\'re going to be well-acquainted with Jason-A, Ron and PhishphanVT.

the map looks geeked out when u zoom in
so do I....what does that mean?
-
OS 9
the only thing os9 is good for is running pro tools with assloads of pirated plugins.
-
Here at work I am using IE (Version Ihavetheslightestidea). It may also be that my browser is relatively small and tucked into one corner of my screen. Any suggestions on a better browser? They don\'t make firefox for OS 9

tell Ev you\'re selling the house, pack everything up, and get up there. ;)
Are you crazy? That would put me beyond driving range for Timmy Tour!
-
Dave, could you put up a sticky alerting members about this?

i deleted you. go add yourself back into the NE clusterfuck..
-
Once zoomed in you can move the map w/ your mouse for anyone lost in europe once zoomed in.
-
It\'s kinda nice to see one of my ideas come to fruition (I LOVE that word...). Usually I just come up with crazy-ass ideas and I\'m not cool enough to actually make it.
That\'s it.
I need an assistant.

nope.. it\'s just an app that i ported from another site. can\'t do anything about the image resolution unfortunately.
-
everythings good over here other than the zoom thing. i\'m on explorer. you just need to drop a higher resolution image in there so we might beable to zoom in a little more.
got one?
-
working fine on this end on IE and Firefox..
ant/klout - what browser are you guys using?
-
Well, it\'s a start...maybe we could find something else later on. But for now, it\'s still cool.

-
Hmm, that didn\'t happen to me
-
might just be my browser, but when ya zoom, the marks on the map don\'t adjust with the map. I zoomed in and all the marks were then in europe.
-
Thanks so much for taking care of that, Dave. Neat new feature! I think it\'ll help newbs in that they can find other fans to hitch a ride with or meet up with at shows (or in my case, see if anyone within a 300-mile radius has even heard of TB). :)
-
might want to put a link to the map on the main page. just my two cents.
it\'s in the \'module jump\' menu.. i may add it to the members list as well..

the map is a cool idea...
though most of us are from the northeast, it will be cool to see what the map looks like once deciently populated

wow a Masshole that prefers to be in RI, sounds like a deathwish. you know it\'s confirmed that RI\'s are the (baddest?) drives in the US, followed only by MA.
originally CT, but now hold\'n it down in RI
Yea, what he said. . .

upstate NY here... aka the o-twig circuit
I am hoping for Albany->Gloversville->Beardslee->Utica->Syracuse->Ithaca->Oneonta this fall
7 nights in a row ,7 shows, 7 cities, only 7 hours of driving .....
that would the jump off

I was just recently (yesterday) wondering why so many people choose to leave their location blank.
As far as west coast fans, Leith is the main representative of the San Diego area (though there are a couple others registered out there). Wstielau is the main rep. down in L.A., though there are also a few registered members there as well as a few others towns up the coast. I lived in Massachusetts for the first 24 years of my life till I moved here at the beginning of 2005, though half my family was rooted out here and I used to spend every summer here (I actually do have a local connection in Oakland Gencs. - the guy who calls me the transplant).
Off the top of my head:
There are very few members in between coasts. Doobster is from AZ but hasn\'t posted since last summer and I think I remember a fan from Colorado looking for shows in the SCORE Forum.
Gordo is in Ill.(there is also a guy registered as WillyJ that I sent cds to in the Chicago area), Bryank rep\'ing S. Dakota, GSphan in WI, maybe someone registered from MI.
Am I missing anyone else in the heartland?
-
Well, I\'m sure the people at Lafayette Brewing Company will ask them to come again, I just hope they ask them to come on a regular basis. You Eastern folk are spoiled rotten, damnit! :) LBC is really the only place I recommend they play around Purdue. The campus bars are full of belligerent frat boys and the coffeeshops are too small. I would take all the flyering and publicity upon myself, just because I\'m starting to love this band that much, but I\'ll see what I can do about getting the LBC to book them again. I just thought maybe Gordo or someone else in my area could help out.
-
80-90% of peeps who post here daily= New York and New England. Others can chime in ;)
Do you know anyone with weight at Purdue? And by weight, I don\'t mean big in the belly ;) Easiest way to get them there is to get whoever is in charge of booking bands to hire them. "If you pay them they will come"
-
Just for reference, could everyone post their locations so I (or someone) can make kind of a "Members Map" (or topographical list)? I\'m just curious to see who is in the Midwest besides Gordo, or who is out West besides zurflu, etc. This would really help me out, especially since my neighbor and I are going to try to get TB to come back to Purdue University this fall.
