-
plus there was a small lot scene
that lot was where my childhood was ruined as i watched little pete from pete & pete blow lines off the hood of his escalade...

at least it wasnt worse than living daylights...
i would say that they were equivalent, like two sides (one light, one dark) of the same sucky thing....

Puppetry>epy2>coma>epy2>Puppetry.
Doesnt get anymore balls to the walls than that.
I assume this was written like this before the show? Either way proves the fact that they are totally fearless.
yes it was written like that before the show. days before, in fact...
you\'re still welcome! :)
(oh, and jocelyn, you\'re not the only one, that was my least favorite of all bfast tunes.....)
-
this is why I would try to make all the porter\'s shows, something special always happened at that place, plus there was a small lot scene
-
that\'s one hell of a set list!
-
damn I miss porters...

Oh, and CSR= soooory Chip!!!!
I\'m totally ok with that.
I\'m probably the only one here who feels this way...

these guys were great, anyone have any of their music besides the disc they were handing out at the show, or know where i can get any??? not on the archive....
They definitly have a good vibe, talented bunch of guys.......
-
hey all... i\'ve still been recuperating from that friday night madness...
nice pic spacey, I was definitely having some ser fun in that picture!
Ron and Jason... no problems with the name... it\'s understandable...
"bass," "base"... same difference. For all who don\'t know- the last name is bassi, so the screen name stems from that, as in ass and not bass, like the instrument.
-
if we can get a pb show in MA this summer, i can gaurantee a N20 tank....50 lbs!!!
ser...now can you guarantee 5 for 20????
-
First people ever cooking in parking lot at PB show was Me, Al, and SketchBill at the Murray\'s show back in \'03...confirmed by Tim.

1st lot scene to the N2O tank wins?
If you consider that winning yeah. LOL
As for makeshift lot scenes. Come out and see for yo\'self how makeshift it is I believe u may be surprised. OB IS Hippie Haven and if you didn\'t know Hippies kinda made up the lot scene.

I do have to say, listening to it on my computer in the air conditioning is like night and day, I like seeing them live but the recording is right on! The heat was a real **** for me, fatness=sweatyyness
-
Definately best of \'05(yes I have tried to listen to all that are circulating) This was one of the best shows I have heard this band put together since my favorite year \'02...I think in my mind at least, that \'05 is another turning point in the Breakfast lore, just like i think \'02 was. My mind was eaten and spit out all night!!!
And the lot scene is starting to blossom.
-

Spaceshots are up.
My 2nd time using a camera, give me a break.
Dave, I hope I didn\'t upload too many, also, I hope that they were put in the right place.
-
I wasn\'t really in that \'pre-show\' sence. I was up stairs and didn\'t want to risk going down stairs to get carded. But I did get that fixed, and was able to go outside.
-
The preshow lot scene was about 7 or so of us. No one really knew about it because we just sort of got there and was like, why pay for drinks when we have a cooler outside. Good times.
-
Props for the other underagers for sticking it out last night, including myself.
Thanks again Dave for the little favor. The whole sence with rain when were leaving was a classic, huge ass puddles in the parking lot. The break was cool in the parking lot, meat a lot of cool people (now i\'m trying to put a face to everyone, heh).
The heat situation was a huge burden for me personaly, I was cracking various windows through out the night for \'fresh air\'.
Hope everyone had fun!
-
what a show , I almost did not make the drive, but so glad we did ron and I that is. Ron and I just kept looking at each other in awe! I thought it was kind of funny doc ellis turns to me and says what does your friend think? What doc did not realize is ron is who has gotten me into these guys in the first place back in 2001 up here in maine when they played the festivals up here.
great to see everyone, would have loved to see you matt v.
Comment on the parking lot scene, very cool , actually really neat, it was really only at set break, but a drum was out etc. people chillin out etc. good vibes all around, sick sick show
-
forgot to mention it, but i was really impressed with g-spot tornado. great cover of \'walking on the moon\'.. looking forward to playing with these guys at the 7/9 Good Time Boys show..
The bassist was pretty intense. He really slapped the **** out of his bass a few times.

Bravo! Excellent review. You captured me and made me remember last evening as if I was there again. Superior quality review. Thanks.

The sound coming out of the speaker on jordan-side of the stage was sick.....As much as it hurt my whole body to stand right up against it, i couldn\'t get enough of it. I am definately a breakfast masochist....the pain feels so good......
Nice recap Dave.....I would gather that the new funk FPoZest is what had me all **** confused from jumpstreet.......

Glad to see Memory of a Free Festival, Octopus\' Garden and Frankly Po Zest back in the setlists!
....but wasn\'t there a freespirit sighting as well?????
Sounds like there was a solid turnout of .inforumers. Did you pack it in at Porter\'s?
-
i know i wasn\'t tripping last night even though i felt like i was all night long....but wasn\'t there a freespirit sighting as well?????

Where to start?
My head hurts today, I don\'t know why. Maybe, it was the $55 bottle of Tequila that WALSH made everyone swig? maybe, it was the umpteenth beer in the lot? (Have to add that WALSH made a SER good suggestion on bring beers, I walked out of a Breakfast show with money in my pocket!) maybe, it was the princess and her Godly bottle of Jagermeister? Maybe, it was the SER **** music being served? I don\'t know but I guess I don\'t need to know.
First time I have ever experience a true lot scene at a Breakfast show. I even got my little pre-show and setbreak one man drum circle. Thanks WALSH for the talking drum demo.
This show was unreal. The boys have been on fire lately and it is good to see them this way. SER conversions at this summers festivals. Frankly Po Zest bustout. Was talking to Daffadil on the ride up and she mentioned how she wanted to hear that song, so did I. Never did I think they would open and close the 1st set with it. Grand. Great to hear Cosmic Spaceway Rhyme again. Doughboy is a crowd pleaser. Barley has been unreal as of late, keeps getting better. Fresh Cut > jam > Attraction To Shade Ditty > Question Mark And The Mind > Octopus\'s Garden
Tasty sandwich here! Highlight for me for the set. Never thought that I would hear Octopus\'s Garden last night. Good tune, like the beat. Best Gravity to date, IMHFO. Even better that it went back into Po Zest!
Setbreak lot scene, \'nuff said.
2nd set NGNL opener was a terrific way to get the energy going again. Then all hell broke loose. Gladys Pimp And Kangaroos With Me > Willie The Pimp > Dig, Puppetry > Mooboo\'s Voodoo (Episode 2) > Wake Up In A Coma > Mooboo\'s Voodoo (Episode 2) > Puppetry, Space City Affair > See The Light > Memory Of A Free Festival
I think this speaks for itself. I can not explain the feelings I held for this band at that moment. They were out of this world.
Encore of Funky Bills was IMO a little rushed because they ran out of time? Either way, they could not top what they had done without ripping into a Buquebus or a Rufus for the encore or even a Buquebus>Rufus might have put it over the top. Wishful thinking, but I dream.
They owned me and I was a slave to the traffic light.
ellis-d, I think I love you. The lights are phenomenal! Thank You for the added experience.
Thanks to DW for driving, P&S for the big couch, althoug I don\'t remember coming home. Jason-A thanks for the discs. Can\'t wait to relive a few of those moments. So glad that you made it down. Ron good to see you there too. Hope you travel home was safe and carefree. JKing, I knew in my hear that you would make it before the 1st set ended. You got there right in time for Fresh Cut and the mayhem that followed. Inertia great to finally meet you. Thanks to the entire Breakfast community for one hell of a night!
and now...
Where are my heady fan Spaceshots?????
The fan-cam last night snapped 140 shots of the audience. I still have a little work to do with adjusting to the lights. The proof of how **** hot it was is in the pics. I will upload as soon as I become motivated enough. I figure that DW and Todd do such a great job at snapping pics of the band that no more are needed, so I decided to take pics of the fans having fun. A lot of fun. A little side note, I tried my best to open windows all night, especially when the cool rain started.
That just took all my energy from me. I am never drinking again. Enjoy the rest of your day.
Peace
-
Ha...I forgot all about the heady lot scene.... all that was needed was some wolfy burritos and a nitrous tank and it would have been perfect.....
-
couldn\'t have asked for a better show last night. i dug the lights, added a great effect to the show, at points it was just plain overwhelming... thanks ellis-d!! the heat just added a different flavor to the whole experience, by second set i had just accepted it and i had an unreal time.... puppetry sandwich nearly had me crying... unbelievable.
lot scene... totally unprecedented but **** great! spacey + plainandsimple + jagermeister = interesting setbreak ;) glad to see bezerker and crew made it in last night too... jocelyn it was nice to finally meet ya :)
it was a rough ride back to storrs at 630 this morning.... todd you are the man, thanks for letting us invade... and so another chapter in the anthology of The Breakfast is complete...
-
the second floor had its own climate...the air was so wet you could see it...I wonder if it was raining sweat on the poor kids downstairs who had no idea what they were missing...
-
Well i dont think i\'ve ever used this word....but i\'m gonna go out a limb and say this show was FUCKIN\' SER!!!!! I had a fuckin\' great time meeting some of the .inforumers, drinkin some beers, and most of all jamming to the Breakfast!!! It was hot as a motha upstairs but it was nothin but a party! Willie the pimp was sick and the lot scene was wicked cool also...what more can i say???? Def worth the drive, can\'t wait to do it again!
-
Did they sing the lyrics part of Attraction? All I remember is wanting to leap out of the second floor window because I couldnt take the **** jamming. The band owned me all night long. Like a child amongst gods, I had no idea what was going on..
Attraction was served with lyrics
Stephengencs = **** in the skull by the breakfast
Where are my heady fan Spaceshots?????

Big Breakfast in a small hot room. I was filled with excitement for this show for weeks and it culminated into a sweaty face **** evening of rock and roll. I had no idea what i was witnessing all night long. There were points were I just had to walk away and go outside because I couldn\'t stand the intensity that the band was bringing. I couldnt even keep a setlist.....
Octopus\'s Garden was quite a bustout. Along with Willie The Pimp....

Ser Kidzzz with quiet ownage of the second set.
Lights = ForFUCKINGget About It......

Bad ass, sick, sweaty, rip rocking, show...worth the long trek home...still hurting

my eyes burin, and i was soo close to startin a no shirt revolution, but none of the ladies deserved it,so i dealt with it..
-
Ser ser ser show...
Cannot believe how hot it was in that place. I think I sweat out a river. It was totally worth it though!
Always a great crowd @ porter\'s... it was nice chillin with everyone!
-
there was a coupla times through the night where he actually led the jam back to where it was supposed to be headin..
adrian the animal=stooooooooooooooooooooooopit
-
ellis d hooked us up nice.. oh yea, we couldnt turn the fans on because the lights chords were draped over em...but it was worth it. hopefully we can acquire more equipment over time because it adds a nice element.
-
ellis-d=my main man!!!
timmyp=stoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooopit
-
ellis-d is gonna hurt someone...
-
so what I\'m hearing is they closed the windows and you guys got baked. how were the lights? I bet that didn\'t help the heat situation.
-
pUppetry>eppie2>wuiac>eppie2>puppetry=ARE YOU SER??????????????????????
-
damn fun. Todd ..hope you had your game face on this morning..thanks for trying to not have us!!. Porters was hot and steamy because the noise level was loud and they closed all windows..apparently ronnies bass lines were rockin the marina a bit. Awesome show though. the song selection/ segues in the 2 set are about as best u can get (without having one of the heavy hitters..rufus/buquebus) and the sound was on. the feedback monster took over the calmness of Question Mark after a RAGING Attraction and Adrian got all pissed and did an amp check during the song..comming back with some of the heaviest drumming for that song ive ever heard. TPalms was drippin sweat all over his pedals and Sequoia tree sang the best Doughboy (eventhough i think last verse was wrong) but he was lettin it all out...absolutely SER!!!! Good to see everyone
-
holy good lord in heaven, are you ser?????????????????/

-
Goddammit. Every single time I see these guys it blows my face off even more...I can only hope the rest of the world gets experience this **** for themselves....but at the same time, I like having my hometown heroes and our close-knit family. Amazing show...Ser, as they say. And maybe sometime in the future Hubinger St. could open up a show for B\'fast--and not at Webster! ROCK AND ROLL. I LOVE BREAKFAST!
