You can always find parking. How close it is to the venue is the question. The area is not too shady so I would not worry about walking for a couple of blocks if it saves you garage fees.

Weather update:  Showers late Friday night. Pack an umbrella or a jacket if you will be outside much. Or you can just run from the Peculiar to the Den.

Reminder:  Beer is more expensive in NYC. Budget accordingly.

Knock on wood, but I\'ve been very lucky finding parking in the city. Most blocks walked for a show= about 6. Not too shabby! Just don\'t get there at 10 p.m. and expect to find a spot ;)

by the time the show gets out you will have missed the last train back. parking in nyc isn\'t as bad as people make it out to be. worst comes to worst, find a garage.

uhh, the Lions Den dilemma.

What to do, really, what to do.

Advice is needed. Is driving into NYC worth it? Is there any other way to get into NYC without having to actually drive into the city? Or, is driving into the city my best bet. I know trains don\'t leave after 12 or 1.

will probly be a lot of TRB extended family there as many of them live in westchester, long island etc in the summer.

Lots of chatter leading up to this weekend\'s Lion\'s Den show.  I believe it will be major success since the band has been playing so well and all the fans and pumped for the show.  Don\'t forget to try and recruit some newbs for the event.  Everyone wants to see the Breakfast move up the ranks in the NYC scene.  

Check out Urban Fetch and support our friend Jim Cobb.  I have really enjoyed some of their tracks from a recent show downloaded off Archive.org.

Glad you know I was just bustin\' balls. I KNOW how hard it is to put a rig together. It took me years to put one together and then I sold it to a small touring band and bought a Jands 500 w/ a friend. I\'m abt $2000 away from buying him out. Good luck w/ the board. It\'s actually a nice little board for clubs you know where DJ\'s play? ;)

its in the village so parking is very slim. I\'d get there early if your hoping to find a spot within a few blocks. You could always get lucky though. Its the village tho so you can park kinda far away and enjoy a nice stroll to the den no biggie.

There will be a few TRB members in attendence including Ellis on light sho000owwwww

unless you\'ve got a place in the city to stay overnight, drive in and find parking..the show will end after the last train back has left, so if u take the train in you\'ll prob be **** and have to wait in the city till like 5AM (i\'ve done it before, you don\'t wanna do it) just drive in and find parking, it\'s a **** but that\'s ur best bet.

One day I will get my band...well its not really a band as much as an acoustic guitar trio...to play out....i play back back background rythym...billy chags on rythym, some lead, and back and lead vocals...and mark mcneiece is on lead guitar and vocals....for 3 acoustic guitarist of varying levels....it actually doesnt sound too bad....plus we all have non-gay haircuts ;)

The lion\'s den needs the 4 bands that play every night, or they wouldnt stay in business, they take a big chunk out of every ticket sold, thats why they have 4 bands, THey dont even care about the bands. The other bands arent really openers, but other shows. They count on the 4 previous bands to bring their 25+ friends for each time slot, Thats why theres a lot of crap openers there, the bands could suck, as long as they bring 25 teenie boppers then the LD doesnt care. The Knitting Factory main room was the bomb, Tobacco Road was the bomb, The Weltands was the bomb, The lions den blows nutts,

I say Knitting Factory Main room should be there home, but what the hey

All I got was some kid from VT who was friends with a girlfriend of the last opening band who told me how much he was enjoying the Breakfast but then wanted to chat about Pat Metheny and how his shows were like the high energy Breakfast moments all the way through his show even after I told him that I was more interested in listening to the Breakfast than listening to him

No punctuation but that was how the conversation went. I am more than happy to talk about the band but not when they are playing.

The late start last time definitely put a damper on attendance. A lot of the people that went for (1 out of 3!) opening bands were excited and impressed by the Breakfast but bailed after a half hour because of how late it was. Cutting it down to two openers would give the Breakfast an earlier start and an opportunity to do a longer show. Of course we all know this, who we need to be telling is the Lions Den mgmt.
How much did the band have to deal with the sound nazi (No monitors for you!)?

last time at the LD just left a bad taste in my mouth.. the sound nazi, the long room, the LATE start (12:45 - oof!), and i think attendance definitely could have been better..

but i\'ll still be there on 6/3 regardless..

Fred,

I thought the last LD show was actually rather well attended. Compared to the show a few weeks before in Saratoga and especially compared to the Col. Bruce and the Code Talkers who were at LD the week befroe the breakfast.

I am not a fan of the lions den for a few reasons. They charge WAY too much for shitty beer and parking around there sucks BALLS!!!!!!!!!.

I really wish they would have got booked in th Tap room at the Knitting factory. That would be sweet
