my mother who is an oncology nurse at Yale New Haven gives Marinol to patience, every patient that has ever taken a dose as sworn to its ability to curve the pain or whatever they have/are suffering with. these are the same people who are dying from cancer that have used OC\'s for much of there therapy.

is that the whole article from that web site or is part cut off? i read about this story somewhere else and i thought it said your arteries will not benefit from just smoking it and it would have to be made into a pill or something.
didn\'t know that was a pay site... yeah, that was the whole article. there may be different variations of it on Google News (http://news.google.com/news?q=marijuana+mice&hl=en&lr=&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&sa=N&tab=nn&oi=newsr).
i heard it on 880 this morning on the way to work..

the Gov\'t. makes synthetic THC in pill form called "Marinol" (sp.?) Some dude gave me and this girl I was with at the time three of them outside the Stone Church at a Duo show a while back. Smoking butts outside b/f Marco and Joe went on, and my girlie found a shiny metallic case on the ground. She asked around to see if anyone dropped anything.. some dude awarded us with three "Marinol" pills that are supposedly really expensive. fuct me up, and I don\'t eat pharmies.. I stil prefer the real ting

Research hints at benefit in marijuana
The Associated Press
Low doses of the main active ingredient in marijuana slowed hardening of the arteries in mice, suggesting a hint for developing a new therapy in people.
Experts stressed that the finding does not mean people should smoke marijuana in hopes of getting the same benefit.
?To extrapolate this to, ?A joint a day will keep the doctor away,\' I think is premature,? said Peter Libby, chief of cardiovascular medicine at Boston\'s Brigham and Women\'s Hospital.
The mouse study is being presented today in the journal Nature by Francois Mach of Geneva University Hospital in Switzerland and colleagues. He said in an e-mail that he thinks that future work will focus on finding drugs that mimic the benefit without producing marijuana\'s effects on the brain.
