all you can do ant is be positive, my sister has to go in and get her cornia replaced. they make these things sound like 15 minute oil changes now adays.

sorry to bring in up old news, but just thought I\'d pop into this thread and say: dave you may be lucky, heh, I spent the whole day today not being able to pee, nothing, nada, and lemme tell you it was the most uncomfortable day of my life. ERs preliminary diagnosis? "Hard to tell right now without the tests coming back, but I say it might be BPH". Apparantely after searching webMD BPH is Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia and is very common in men. . . men who are 40+! Yet another trip to the ER without a straight answer. I\'m gonna start diagnosing myself. Todays: "Bladder stones may block the tube that carries urine from the bladder to the outside of the body (urethra). This may cause difficulty in urinating, painful urination, or complete inability to urinate."
I get to go see a Urologist on Monday, can only imagine what silly tests they are gonna come up with. And until then I can literally drink until I **** myself since I am the proud owner of a catheter with matching leg bag. Sorry you all had to read this, I just needed to let out my anger, heh, feel free to ask me how my bag is Saturday ;) I always said I was 23 going on 50, and maybe this time I am right, heh.

Let me know if there is a bike tour out here as well. I have been riding all over the place lately (including the S.F. hills) and easily have the tolerance for a 44 mile bike ride if S.F./Oak has one as well.
$2.80 for the cheapest grade of gas in my neighborhood these days so I only use my car when I\'m going out of town.

of course i have not been on a bike since ending up in the outer banks ER last summer after a catastrophe that made me look like freddie krueger, but i\'ll cheer you on :)

hurt myself at the gym 3 weeks ago monday.. thought it was a muscle strain, so i took a week off from the gym.. didn\'t get any better.. went to my doc on monday, turned my head and coughed a few times, and he *thinks* i may have a small hernia, but he wasn\'t sure.. so he set me up with a general surgeon who i have to go see tomorrow.
WAIT.LEME GET THIS STRAIGHT..
HE THINKS YOU MAY HAVE A SMALL HERNIA,OR HE KNOWS FOR FACT THAT YOU HAVE A SMALL PACKAGE?
IM CONFUSED...

this guy is not sure either. said it\'s hard to tell with small hernias. wants me to take it easy for 2 weeks, get some moist heat on there, and 600mg motrin 3 times a day. and keep feeling around down there for a bulge.. he thinks it may just be a sprained ligament, in which case, i\'d just have to wait for it to heal.. gym needs to be light, if any. no lower body, and no raquetball.. gotta go back to him in 2 weeks so he can poke around down there some more..

dave you should be fine whether you\'ve got a hernia or not..once they take care of that you\'re all set..
my kitten had a hernia--it was kind cute though, like a belly button..poor guy had it operated on the same day he got neutered. now he\'s as good as new, sort of.

Hernia=ouch, but they get sorted easily enough - eventually. My brother-in-law had one which went pretty much undetected for 8 months - docs thought it was irritable bowel. After eating, he was pretty much limited to just sitting down for a couple of hours. Then it popped out and they finally diagnosed it; he was operated on in a week. He was back to renovating his house with no ill effects a month later.

**** man I lived with a hernia for 6 years, it got so bad that I couldnt stand on my feet for more than an hour or two. I finaly got it fixed a year ago, life is a lot more easier now.

Hope ya feel/get better man. General surgeons could be wacky characters, be careful, heh. I\'d recommend one for ya but the only surgeons I\'ve dealt with down there were trauma people. My surgeon up here is good people, just has a few screws loose and likes to carve wooden ducks. . .

i\'m thinking the worst. it went from being a discomfort a few days ago to being downright painful now.. no jumping around like an idiot at UAC. :(
