Saaaaaaaawwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeettttttttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes! Yes! Yes!
Who will end up in the water first? Will Freddy vomit over the side of the boat? Will the boat turn into a viking funeral when the Breakfast unleashes their fire?
Can\'t wait to find out the answer to all of these questions.

i saw the machine i one of those last fall and it was solid, the breakfast though- i\'d definitely lose my skull
-
the Pietasters (plain and simple would be all over this one).
I saw those guys open for reel big fish on sunday. good stuff though I only know stuff off of one album.
Badfish will definitely be awesome!!

I still have the complete collection of NKOTB cards. Three sets, My sister, my brother and me.
At one point in my life, I had seen more NTOTB shows then Phish shows. That all changed but again I have seen NTOTB more then the Breakfast, that all changed.
I changed, I really can!
-
I unfortunately have seen the New Kids on the Block too many times. I have an older sister who was into that **** when we were growing up. My mother instead of pawning my brother and myself off on a babysitter, use to have to go to these **** shows. what a terrible time, the young girls were always hot especially for a teenager starting puberty.
That explains everything. GAY=confirmed
wowww wait a sec. i love new kids on the block. my first concert was a new kids on the block concert with my older sis way back when. when i was little i wanted to marry jordan knight or donnie (i like the badasses). i had new kids on the block trading cards, a backpack and towels.

there are a couple bands on there i used to see back in the day. The Slackers= ska/jazz, the Toasters=ska, the Pietasters (plain and simple would be all over this one).
BadFish is gonna be sick

Jordan **** Knight!!!! NKOTB
al z- you coming out for that one??
I wish. I always wanted to see the New Kids back in the late 80\'s.
-
there are quite a few bands I never even heard of on there? I am surprised badfish is on there along with the machine, the breakfast is better then every band on there=confirmed
Derek Trucks Band?? Check that one out for sure!
-
There are actually 5 bands on there that are so unheard of that they have a little description next to the name. "7/27 Deva- Female-fronted Devo tribute." Hilarious.

Well maybe next year, unless we sneak something in. In the meantime, I do recommend checking out their other shows, provided that you\'re not missing The Breakfast, of course ;)

Also on 5/13 and 5/14 they have Tea Leaf Green and Particle for Trey afterparties. Those will be hot gigs.

hey I am just another greedy breakfast fan yearning for a buquebus at sea :D
-
Klout=the Man
-
a little news....my sources tell me an offer has been sent from the rocks off team to the bfast management regarding a breakfast boat cruise. so keep your fingers crossed!
-
i talked with my friend last night. apparently there are over 50 cruises planned so I dont think getting the breakfast on one of them is going to be a problem at all. Also THe boss dude at rocks off saw this thread and my friend is going to bring up getting the breakfast on one of them today so the wheels are in motion.
Great to see fans making stuff happen. Ser effort klout.
-
i talked with my friend last night
"Spoke to a friend the other day, said you threw your life away".

Two Night Stand! Two Night Stand!! Two Night Stand!!!
-
Go Klout! This would be a great night on the harbor.
"nominate \'The hook\' and/or \'Southpaw\', both in Brooklyn"
I think that Brooklyn would get an even smaller turnout because of the extra travel for the NYU kids
-
klout, good luck with that, make it happen, enjoy the show tomorrow too. it is sure to be a spectacular event!
-
heh that dancing banana rocks. I am gonna have to bust that move out tommarow night during gladys
-
ooh ooh ooh if this happens i\'m 100% there!!!
-
i\'ll talk to them about it in utica tommarow
-
did you try emailing the bands management? you probably won\'t get a hold of the band for confirmation for a few weeks. but there must be a booking number on their contacts page on thebreakfast.org
-
i just need official confirmation before I make the call. After those two things happen it\'s 99% chance that the breakfast will be on the cruise and 110% chance that I will be too :)
-
this is a must, lets make it happen!
-
bump
-
I can seriously make this happen if the band is on board (no pun intended :P). But I need an email or phone call from someone in the band or managment to confirm they want to do it. A good friend of mine works for rocks off and has been booking pretty much all the acts on the cruises and actually mentioned to me that the breakfast is not on the boat but should.

and while we are throwing out ideas, i nominate \'The hook\' and/or \'Southpaw\', both in Brooklyn. both have decent/good sound.
-
Jake and or Bill are the two guys who would actually make it happen. i just saw Bill last weekend hanidng out fllyers for some other boat cruise. i think i see him at every single show i go to. nice guy.
-
Guerilla promotion. Let\'s ask for two nights in a row on the Half moon it is the smaller of the two boats and holds 200 people. That would be ILL!
-
sancho@rocksoff.com
Let\'s make this happen,yo.
-
great idea; but unfortunately I have some serious issues with sea-sickness, and I felt the 100.7 degree fever I have right now spike up a bit just thinkin about it.
-
this is a fabulous idea...it *needs* to happen!!
-
went to the Rocks Off site, e-mailed some dude name Sancho, who runs everything.. haven\'t heard back..prolly won\'t
-
whineberg- check out the fancy edit options dave hooked up
pulling this off shouldn\'t be difficult if bands like The Bomb Squad and Tea Leaf Green have had thier share of performances on murky NY water.. might just have to investigate..
-
Insert the word know into my last post. I don\'t know him.
-
I don\'t him. It\'s just that if I were to see him, I would know that it was him.
-
great idea I would be there so lets make it happen. When does this take place???
-
I think one of the rocks off guys is named Jake. He used to book Wetlands and the Knitting Factory. I know that he likes The Breakfast. He was doing the Knitting Factory 3 years ago, when The Breakfast played for like 3 and 1/2 hours in the basement and I made him come listen to Buquebus. He liked them.
so hook it up, whineberg!

I thought wookies were afraid of water????

This has to happen these things are FUN! For those that haven\'t been on one, they have two boats one larger than the other and they go out in to the NY Harbor and towards the Statue of Liberty. They usually last 3 to 4 hours and can start anywhere from 8 to Midnight(heady). Full bar and this year they are haveing food on there too. THIS HAS TO HAPPEN!!!
Right on Walsh. I went on 3 of these last summer (Umphrey\'s, KDTU, and Amon Tobin) and all were absolutely sick. The boat leaves the west side at 42nd street, cruises south around the island then up the east side, then comes back down again and buzzes the statue. The shows were all super nasty, and you can go out on the deck and puff your smokable plant of choice. I dunno about full bar, they just stock some well liquors and Bud served in little plastic cups. But a Breakfast show would be awesome. I think the small boat fits 350, so if they can sell out Knitting Factory or Lion\'s Den then come sail away. In the meantime, I definitely recommend checking out some of their other shows.
-
im down
-
I\'m on board!
:doh:that was bad, so bad
-
How do we make this happen? Can we tell the promoters to pick up the band? I am game for this!
