it\'s a fake news show. real news shows have several stories a day that mention or feature bush. so does the fake news show. its format as much as anything else. then you add in that bush is an inarguably inept president and some hungry comedy writers working for a fake news show, and voila! great tv!
he does, however, talk about a lot of other things besides bush. this entire week has focused on the "debate" between intelligent design and evolution being taught in schools. he\'s had guests from every perspective on, and he is constantly striving to have them best express themselves. they did a panel interview which then had to be edited to fit on tv. what i noticed was that they really did edit out everything but the guests\' most salient and eloquent points. they didn\'t bias it at all, it presented everyone best arguement and let you decide.
what i really like, is that unlike so many shows, when he has a guest on, he doesn\'t assume they\'re wrong because he\'s already got his mind up, he actually gives his guest full respect, no matter how wacky they might be.constrast that with some of the "real" news shows out there, and it seems like an intelligent alternative....
plus its funny as hell!

u know what i totally forgot that kilborn was the original host, jon stewart has really taken that show to a new level. I am a kilborn fan though, even if he is a west coast douche. His late night talk show was great for a while, and for a point i wasn\'t even watching conan as it felt like he was getting repetative. Kilborn\'s role in Old School is classic imo...
Ok. Good talk. I\'ll see you out there.

The Daily Show sucks! You heard it here first!
:P
I\'ve never seen it, though I somehow trust your judgement. The Bush bashing you speak of was stale back in 2001, let alone the fact that we have a few more years of it.
Don\'t listen to her. She\'s got jumbled brains from too much horse riding. You should check out an episode. It\'s not ALL political ranting and Bush bashing.

I really miss Beth Lilliford and Nancy Walls...
Classic Show.
Kilborn was good, but Stewart made that show what it is today, and not to mention that Kilborn turned into a **** west coast **** once he left...
i think its cause kilborn is a west coast ****. never liked the guy a bit, too pretty to read the fake news, at least for me. stewart=fuckin hi-larious, saw him in "death to smoochy" last night, which was actually a great movie.

Daily Show is one of the best shows on TV.
And Bush definitely deserves all that is said. Leith is correct though the joking does not stop with republicans...Liberals get it just as bad...even Nader gets ripped...It is just that GDumb is SOOOOOOOOO bad for our country that it really needs to be hammered home(scuse the pun) on a "Daily" basis.

Kurt Freakin\' Vonnegut on the Daily show 2 nights ago anyone see it? Great interview and what a guest for a show like that. Talk about Pull!

I think it gets a bit tiresome when every other joke is about Bush. Blah blah blah blah... just because he\'s a lib doesn\'t mean he can\'t be creative and talk about something else for 10 minutes. Political humor is great, but cvan be overdone, especially when most of the time it is only from one angle.
Yeah well John Stewart does not like Bush and I for one am glad for every joke made at the expense of one the dirtiest politicians we have in office.
If you watch every night you will see the Democrats get their fair share of criticism mainly due to their ineptitude. It just so happens that pretty much everyday Bush does something so ridiculous or harmful to the Nation that it behooves the show to comment on it. So if you tire of Bush bashing I suggest you not tune in until a new President is elected oh and then it will just be bashing on that guy.lol

I watch this show every day, It is my main source of news.
But it\'s fake news. What gets me is that they may be more real than some of the news channels out there w/ some of their stories.

I\'ve been watching since day 1. Craig Kilborn was the original host but John Stewart has been the host for a few years now. Do yourself a favor and watch ANY of the election time episodes. If more people watched this show things may have been different.

i\'ve only seen bits and pieces of tDS, but i download every episode.. one day i\'ll get around to watching some.. :)

Watching a repeat of last nite. Rob Cordray doing a bit abt how awesome GWB\'s live shows are and how he\'s lookin\' for a trade as he got the news conference on tape "straight from the board". Funny relevant political humor ahhhhh
