From Jambands.com today...
Theme Continues For Seth Yacovone Band
On Friday we noted that the Seth Yacovone Band had performed three albums in their entirety the previous night and wondered what the group might next attempt. However, rather than offering takes on earlier releases Yessir! or Bobfred\'s Bathtub Minstrel as we suggested, the trio instead opted to go the opposite route. So on Friday at Porter\'s Tap Room in Westbrook, CT, the SYB offered two sets of music that had not been recorded on any of its discs. The Breakfast?s Tim Palmieri was on had for much of the second set as well.

the doozie where the boys were acting like 4 horsesasses....opening for umpmcgee...im dyin to see the onstage antics...i think remember about 10 timmy rockstar jumps and i definately remember jordan grabbing the lawnchair he was sitting on and running around in several circles..histerical way to make the best of a doozie...

the Seth and Tim combo will go down as one f the nastiest nights at Porters. Seths drummer kept on saying ...We have a special guest tonight...Chaz Palmentari (bronx tale, usual suspects...Italiano) is here everybody". Seth and Tim mimicking and complimenting each others unreal guitar licks...They deffinatley did a \'Fairy Wear Boots\' to end it..wow. Deffinatley didnt expect what i saw and heard last night. Holy ****.....

I was at Porters that night with no idea that Timmy was coming to play. I heard some chatter but paid it no mind. When I saw him rolling his equiptment in, I couldn\'t believe what I was seeing until I saw him with Seth Yac....UNREAL....

yeah that sucks, i fortunately was able to see seth yacovone band play quite a few times, my last show was the breakfast at nectars in burlington when the red sox won the world series and seth was around all night in the crowd and ****, then he came out on stage and ripped out a sick rockin in the free world. definately gonna catch maybe a last show.
-
I never did hear the Yacavone band. I just know that SEth and Tim absolutely shredded through Hot Lanta on Bona fide. Great track.
Thanks for ARU cd Mark! I listened to it on the ride back from CT yesterday.
-
Sad news indeed. See ya\'ll at Porters on the 17th. Anyone out there want to join in a videotape of this???
-
Man. have ahd some fun times watching these guys...especially the Jay Peak Vermont show. they are a pure rock n roll band that this world needs more of. that sucks..guess ill have to start collecting some more live stuff and the 5 cd\'s. Im sure we\'ll see some more seth sit ins down the road, but Melting of the Minds was the ****!
