but if we\'re talking $1500, we\'re talking 8-10x more than tim gets paid to play one of these shows.. maybe it\'s just me, but i don\'t think that\'s right..

i also think that a HUGE factor in what makes these shows great/fun, is the interaction... i couldn\'t see myself watching it live in front of my computer... again, all imo..

it would probably be a one time cost of about $1500 for the satellite dish, activation fees, and other equipiment. then $100 a month for basic service. not 1500 every week.

And i wasnt even thinking about doing video, just audio. But it could be possible depending on how much bandwidth the satellite internet service offers.

If it was that ez.....

I disagree, thought could be totally wrong......
Nobody but **** fans come to the timmy shows....

A couple of well placed posts on some message boards
A nice writeup or two on Jambase/Jambands

I think would definately create a buzz....

just my thoughts...

what would it yield in the end?  I dont know.....

I hear ya....
I am clueless about the business aspect of the music business...

I do agree about the interaction making Wednesdays special, and I would never opt to watch from home, but I was thinking about the people like boombox who will most likely never get to see a tim solo show, or people who have preconceived notions about what goes on at a Solo Timmy show.....

Peck, your pessimism is discouraging....

other than getting Tims approval (which I believe would be the hardest thing to do), I think Sidebar would be the venue of choice.  I bet they have a cable modem in there already.....

just spiffballing here.....

Boombox, we are talkin american greenbacks not limey pounds ;)

actually if sidebar or 232 has cable or dsl it could be done almost for free. If we wanted to do this maybe we could even get our own high speed internet installed in the venue just for webcasts if they were cool with it. I am sure everyone would chip in a dollar each week to keep it running. assuming that tim plays every week that would probably be enough if 10-15 fans were always there.

Of course tim would have to approve of all of this and i doubt that he ever would.

i could do it for about $1500, but it would only be able to handle about 3-5 listeners max.

It would be sans alcohol (at least during the show), but I\'m looking forward to the next Tim/The Breakfast show on Sharing In The Groove on WVOF.  AJ, get on that ****.

What would it take for this to happen?

I think it would be great for Timmy, The Breakfast, the scene, and whatever Bar it was being broadcast from....
