Title: August 14 - Cafe Nine available on LMA
Post by: boombox on September 03, 2004, 02:03:52 pm
Hey, gencs, I got exactly the same problem as you, AND I was using a download manager - must be a corrupt zip on the server. I\'m having to redownload d1t01,02,06,07,10,11 and d2t05,06 as individual files.

On the big plus side, it\'s a great recording wayne, and Merge is positively animal!!

a download manager is.......?

I use Download Accelerator Plus - once you set it up, got to Options/Configure and select your connection; Super Acceleration speed gives you 5 streams at once (with a 512 connection- 1mb may give more) which speeds things up - it also has resume functions - IF the server storing the files has a resume function - some of the lma servers don\'t support resume.  It may also save the file as a load of gobbledy-gook, depending on which server the files are on. Just name to pbXXXX-xx-xx.zip and it will decompress easily. You can always download the files individually as you would with Smart FTP.

You could also try Getright, which I used to use.

I use SmartFTP (http://www.smartftp.com/)  to download the flac files. It is VERY easy to use and although takes a little bit longer to download, you don\'t have to run Winzip to decompress.

SmartFTP also has "resume". So if you get cut off, it\'s easy as 1-2-3 to continue the download.

sounds like its an incomplete download. If you are not using a download manager the chances of even completing a download that large error free are pretty slim.

                                            Total: 82:35.52
*  inverted.
** with \'Once In A Lifetime\' (Talking Heads) tease.

Note for creating cds for set 2:
If you can\'t do an 82:35 overburn, Set 2 without (01) Intro and (11) Crowd can be overburned as an 81 min disc. If
you want don\'t want to overburn, Score/2001 looks like a good place to split set 2 into two discs.
