Pex box baby!  The ONE and ONLY.  Boy, I\'m gonna move to Staven...the only town with John and Maria\'s apizza, home to TB, and Pex Box.  It\'s got to be the best place to live in America.

sweet.. did your buddy actually build a cabinet?

i\'m pretty sure he built most of it (or chopped up an existing cabinet).

4-player control panel with a 3" trackball, spinner, extra 4-way joystick, and pinball flippers underneath on the side.. also got a 4-player coin door.

holy ****! that\'s gonna be some pimped out system!!!

i constantly get DRE\'s...and forget about playing dvd\'s, they won\'t play at all. i\'m pretty sure that\'s what messed it up to begin with. i was using the ps2 for dvd\'s before i bought a dvd player.

$130 for a referbished xbox? hmmm...i just might.

i took part in the beta testing for ps2 online. they sent me a free network adapter after i sent back the test model. i haven\'t used ps2 online since the testing though, cause of the errors and the sad fact that i still have a dial up connection.

i can\'t wait to get mine done.. i built a dedicated pc just for MAME and all the other emulators.. the cabinet itself will be housing a 27" wells gardner arcade monitor (http://www.wellsgardner.com/wellsgardner31/catalog.cfm?dest=itempg&itemid=596&secid=4&linkon=subsection&linkid=8).. 4-player control panel with a 3" trackball, spinner, extra 4-way joystick, and pinball flippers underneath on the side.. also got a 4-player coin door. the project is taking forever, but right now i\'m waiting for the control panel artwork, which justin is working on.. once that\'s done i can finally start wiring it up, and start playing.. it won\'t be completely finished till we get a house though, cause i don\'t wanna have to move it..... ever.

i was catching up on a backlog of magazine reading today, and there\'s an article about the minibosses in last month\'s Wired..

read it here (http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/12.02/miniboss.html).

This is fantastic Nintendo cover band talk.  Where else do you get this?  Certainly not with the pop-culture obsessed people I meet in Manhattan.  This is quickly becoming my favorite thread.  I\'ll take your word for it bluefunk, and I\'ll go see the minibosses, but man, it\'s gonna be tough to outrock the Neskimos!

the NESkimos are pretty good...but nowhere near the realm of the MINIBOSSES!!! compare each bands versions of contra and megaman 2 tracks...no comparison. the NESkimos are playing the songs with a lot more metallic flavor, whereas the minibosses are a lot more authentic sounding (and a lot tighter).

the minibosses rock out the intro/levels 1-3 of contra...very reminiscent of maiden at times. i downloaded a ton of songs they had on their site a few years back...mp3\'s but they still kick ass. if anyone wants to check them out, let me know.

i\'m either gonna hit the boston or brooklyn show. -
btw...the Eagles of Death Metal aren\'t a true death metal band...more or less a joke. josh homme from qotsa plays drums. hmmm, kinda like dave grohl\'s new metal band, probot...minus lemmy.

I heard them a few years ago and they seemed pretty cool, but I dont think i would travel to see them open for a death metal band.

I want to hear pb play dimension 5 > \'contra\' theme.
