Title: CD burning question
Post by: frolfer on March 06, 2010, 09:40:18 am
How did it go weekapaug? You have to be careful when overburning cds. Some players can\'t read beyond the prefixed groove which marks the end of the cd-r\'s normal recordable space. I guess the media might not be as good or reliable beyond that mark as well. Might cause problems in the future if you needed to copy that cd. I\'d say if there\'s a suitable point to break it up onto another disc that is the way to go, but thats just me and sometimes jams go on longer than the media can handle.

Just saying, that\'s all. I hope it goes well. Nice call on the euro \'72 GD. Just listened to 5-11 the other day.

Not sure about Roxio, but you should be able to overburn...

You can do it with Nero: http://www.vladd44.com/other/overburn.php

Here\'s a good site with lots of info: http://www.cdmediaworld.com/hardware/cdrom/cd_oversize.shtml

That is awesome GLuft, I was just looking at the cdmediaworld page before I posted! I should of followed your link and left it at that. great minds think alike.

If you\'re not doing a disc copy, you can just split up the two discs into three...

I\'m trying to burn a cd (GD euro 72) and disk 1 is 6 seconds longer than my cd. I\'m using Roxio to burn the disc.....anybody know of a way to override this, or is this even possible to put an extra 6 seconds of music on a cd? thanks
