sorry brah, but the ABB do NOT suck. I will admit they were getting kinda tired years ago, but when oteill and derek joined the band they were reborn, those two are some of the most amazing musicians i\'ve ever seen. just unreal talent. derek is on another planet. just cuz ya can\'t throw down gangsta style doesn\'t mean it sucks. ;)

Some of today\'s most innovative musical minds – who have played with the likes of John Scofield, Warren Haynes, Dave Matthews Band, The Breakfast and RAQ – will be pushing the boundaries of improvisation each week at Stella Blues in New Haven, CT.
Calling themselves Kung Fu, this new super group consists of Tim Palmieri (The Breakfast/guitar), Todd Stoops (RAQ/keys), Kris Jensen (sax), David Livolsi (bass) and Adrian Tramontano (The Breakfast/drums).
"Everyone is a monster," says Palmieri, who is a regular in the New Haven music scene. "This music is going to be funky, mature and powerful."
Consider it the martial arts of the music world, if you will.
"It\'s lethal funk," continues Palmieri. "It\'s music smart and strong enough to defend one\'s self, or art\'s self. I love this music."
Kung Fu will be playing a mix of covers, improvisations and eventually will be writing original material as well.

the breakfast have played after every other band in nyc, might as well play after the allmans to the same handful of people who would\'ve gone and seen the breakfast anyways.
the fact its both bands is cool, but that just means most people going after will miss the breakfast trying to get their **** together and to the venue. the only thing that would be exciting to me is if tim sat in with the allmans and we all know thats notgonnahappen.

Couldn\'t agree with you more. Anyone who doesn\'t have his \'09 release Already Free is missing out on probably the best album of that year. The song "Down Don\'t Bother Me", when played at the right volume will send shivers down your neck and give you goose bumps all over.
It\'s time we all stop kidding ourselves, they should be called

My thoughts exactly.... can\'t see how any n00b who stumbles into Kung Fu won\'t have their third eye fully activated by inevitable discovery of The Breakfast :D

Get used to it. Negativity has gotten us as a fanbase nowhere and it certainly doesn\'t do a damn good thing for the band.
Patience is a virtue many Breakfast fans have lost but the band has certainly not.
I think the rumblings being created with Kung Fu and Tim venturing further out for solo gigs will eventually turn to waves and it may take all of this year and maybe the next for them to be able to tour decently again but this is the best path I have seen this band attack in a looooong time.

Hey Duane. Yeah I just think that the plan is working. By plan I mean the effort to get more exposure for The Breakfast via side projects that actually get attention.
It seemed to have started awhile back with the Waldman Project sit in\'s which did get some press and continuing now with Kung Fu which is receiving a bit more attention.
I have been a long time proponent of using Tim/Adrian solo gigs to give promoters a double bill for the price of one so to speak with The Breakfast.
This seems to be in that vein and I like it.
Hopefully when I get back from Europe I can get out for some shows but I will def. be at THE WEDDING in July.

^^^agreed......i\'ve been to a retirement party tonight for a good friend and i\'m taking out my blues on the board i guess. i made it to mardi gras fu so i \'m still supporting and i certainly hope work allows me to go to this.....but....well...i was just saying ;)

Positive vibes. Compromise has never been a part of their business plan and it may have hurt them.
This is progress slow but sure. Just keep keepin\' on and The Breakfast will be there when you need it again.
