Why didn\'t the hotel people tell you to move your car as the parking lot started to flood? A flooded car is a serious matter. Glad to see that you took action and followed up on this.

Why have drainage when it only rains a lot once every two to six years? If it\'s raining a **** ton, aren\'t you guys smart enough to move your **** to higher ground? It\'s the same thing as the case of why re-enforce levees that might be needed only once every 30-40 years...

Leith - I am also extremely annoyed with the non-existent drainage systems in this city. San Diego State is one big mess of puddles. Huge ones. :/

Pretty shitty!
The owner probably weighed the cost of major improvements vs. the chances of anomaly rain storms that only hit every few years.
Just curious how many inches SD/LA have gotten since last weekend? Probably close to the average rainfall for the full year, if I had to guess.

I live in San Diego. Anyone want to let me in on how the **** MY CAR GOT FLOODED?
So I was working last night and came out to find my car in the middle of a lake that was once the parking lot. Waded through the water and found my car filled up to the seats and a raging river flowing down the roadway. So I jumped in threw the key in to see if it would start it did so I plunged my foot down into the water to accelerate and find some higher ground.
I got out and bailed my car out with my disc golf discs all the while yelling obscenities about why is there no drainage or signage to this effect yada yada.
I drive to the front office and file a report. Totally soaked but working the car got me home.
I wet vacc\'d it and have had fans on the entire night and all day today. There are some damp spots still but seems to be fine and no nasty smell has developed. Nothing electrical seems to be wrong either.
I have an appt. tomorrow morning to get it inspected by my insurance and have just found out the place has been sued for negligence in 2004,5,7 and paid a settlement for this exact same thing.
d00ds I was driving a car full of water!!!!!!!!! it was crazy
