71 and 72 are rocking years! Some great jams the summer after they came back from the Europe your.
Nice axes! Irwin was a master. Too bad he blew himself up.

I still got the tape if anybody wants to listen to it but I\'ll take the disc, SO CRYSTAL CLEAR but the four disc set is taken from the last run 4/26 - 4/29/71 all mixed up together... choice takes I guess. They did get the Alligator>Drums>Jam>Goin\' Down the Road>Cold Rain & Snow from the 29th which is so nice. Those discs were well worth the $$$. It\'s also got a REAL nice Sing me Back Home. Jerry\'s on it!
oh yeah... this is the Bar thread. Point me to the GD thread!

The 2-20-71 Capitol Theater show might be my all time favorite. A good year indeed! I\'m also all for the remasters. Some purists hate it, but it sounds SO CLEAR. A wonderful technology.
