One of my top 20 shows to date, maybe top 10. I\'ll have to listen to it again to be sure.
I used Tim\'s H1N1 thingy to record the show. Not sure if it will see the light of day though.
the band taped the show

I was just reading some reviews on the H4n, and a major complaint was distortion when connecting to a board or mixer. He called it a \'line level signal,\' but I don\'t know what that means exactly. Maybe that just means the signal sent from the board to the recorder? But I guess this person kept hearing distortion in his recording when he connected to the board. Matt, have you noticed this at all? You have done a few matrices with it and I don\'t think I\'ve noticed any distortion. I like the affordability of the Zoom and all of its functions, but I don\'t like the sound of this. Sounds like you are pretty pleased with it though. I never want to see a show go unrecorded!
yes, you will need attenuators if you want to record a +4db soundboard\'s output when recording into the a microphone or line level input!!! If you don\'t clip the recording levels, it records without distorion.

is there anybody out there?
I didn\'t make the show. Ken and were going to make the drive and ken backed out last minute. I wasn\'t too excited about driving thought NYC in Friday rush hour traffic, anyhow. you guys should get the name/email of the taper(s). not all tapers know know to transfer a show and upload to archive. Many tapers record for personal use, they have no obligation to make it public. hope fully this one will surface in a few days. The set list looks great and the band has been playing very well as of late.
Although some people are having problems with their zoom, I have used it more that 15 shows and have not had a single problem.
I recommend something like this deal:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Zoom-H4n-H4-n-Recorder-4-Track-Mobile-TRIPOD-16GB-SD_W0QQitemZ220513244157QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item33579d13fd
make sure to buy a zoom approved 16gb card and format it using the the zoom format function.
also, make sure to hit the rec button twice to record, Pressing the record button once just starts the level meters. The second time pressed, actually starts the recording. I have done this once and did not record part of a set.
BTW, Tim Palmieri has one of these recorders, so if there are no tapers, ask Tim if he can record the show.
this show was a smoker. i cant believe there,s not more talk of it.
Ryan Dblock you really screwed yourself on this one.
sooory chip.

as far as taping is concerned, my guess is it wasnt taped :(. at least there was nothing there to suggest that it might be...
Quoteit\'s a Friday night after a long week, and the family and I are going to grab some grub, pick up a Christmas tree and maybe have a little frozen yogurt... I like going to shows, but on this particular night, I\'d much rather do the things listed above than drive an hour to watch two bands before TB even takes the stage...
so what you\'re saying is that since there will be openers, you\'ll be able to do the xmas tree>yogurt thing, put the kids to bed, bang the wife real quick AND still be able to make the show! way to finally man up!!

My sister\'s birthday is fryday otherwise I would be all over this. Was looking forward to grabbing some white castle and grooving to the Breakfast. Damn, I am jonesing for a show.
I get it Yoda. It\'s not responsibilities as much as priorities. we can only decide what is important for ourselves. Have a great night with the family.
At least say that you have to work late, volunteer or have a birthday party to go to on the day of the show or something else that cannot be dismantled with ease.
Quote from: Yoda;247625Whatever... I should have learned long ago that this motley crew doesn\'t give two **** about responsibility, as long as you can get to the show...
That\'s why you\'re here Yoda. To show us what\'s really important in life, and provide a moral compass. For this I am grateful. Thank you.

I\'ve got a kid that\'s almost 2 and one that\'s 3 months old; you try and take care of two kids those ages for any extended period of time by yourself and you tell me how easy it is to do... It\'s not easy and I give my wife all the credit in the world for being able to do it by herself while I\'m at work...
Same night as Phish......The usual....Whineberg.
****...missing this show and the weird beards in new hampshire for msg. phish better **** deliver
don\'t go to Phish, go to The Breakfast. you will all sleep better at night.

Emergency? You really need to get some balls and go out for a few hours. Healthy marriages definitely allow for nights out. Wife can\'t take care of the kids herself? I\'m sure you wouldn\'t mind if the wife wanted to get out for some recreation.
I think Tim should call you out in this thread too!
Let him... I really don\'t need your\'s or Tim\'s or anyone\'s approval on why I make what decisions I do... Believe it or not, I do go out, but I\'ve got a kid that\'s almost 2 and one that\'s 3 months old; you try and take care of two kids those ages for any extended period of time by yourself and you tell me how easy it is to do... don\'t worry your life away. you have in-laws right? one night?
breakfast in NJ? oh well. we\'ll have to do the shark without you then.

Indeed. We need to plan something out. I am going to try and catch him in NYC as well. Lets talk. Have a couple of the Boston Babes who want to hang out.
