Ive got some hand drawn stuff...not too sure what to write on it though. would The Breakfast Live As Is be good?
I wouldn\'t use "Live As Is" as a title, since that has already been taken for their album... I think "The Breakfast" is good enough, and if it\'s for a show, you can include the venue, et. al. details too?

If you have high res original working file of that I can do a good bit to enhance the contrast, levels, shadows/highlights, etc in CS4... Gimp\'s good **** and I\'m always pulling for open source software but it\'s just simply not as good. New GIMP maybe = PS 6.5 or so. Lack of layer effects and shadows/highlights being the biggest omissions.
Yakity yak though. Keep \'em coming.
So here\'s specifications that you graphic designers will need to follow to be contenders for the "best poster and I will print it" contest.
1. 11" x 17" with 1/8" bleed x 500 copies = My cost about $200
2. 18" x 24" with 1/8" bleed x 500 copies = My cost about $300
3. 24" x 36" with 1/8" bleed x 500 copies = My cost about $550
It will take a bit over a week from the time I receive whatever turns out to be the favorite poster to get it delivered. Something with a Freakout theme or NYE theme would be cool as these are more popular shows. Or just a straight up tripped out Breakfast poster. Do what you want but please keep to those specifications if you want it printed.
CMYK required. 300dpi+ TIFF, PSD, or PDF are acceptable formats.
Scaling up quantities from 500 to 1000 is usually only like 10-15% more expensive. I would be hesitant to go beyond 18" x 24" because I don\'t feel like paying that much for 24" x 36". The only way I would print this size is if somebody split the bill with me.
Get ta work! Still waiting on release of the working files for the new logo... when I get that I might submit my own ;)
Also, be careful of copyright infringement. I\'m going to assume Breakfast logos are fair game unless told otherwise. Be careful using stuff like other album artwork (Sergent Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band) or modifying other corporate logos like the Rufus/Ruffles and other designs. These will unfortunately not be contenders for this offer due to potential (though unlikely) legal issues.

Two of you .info peeps are using my logos for avatars!!! I\'m humbled, but grin like an idiot every time I see it :batban: (<- bat nana is just too cool for words).
To stay on topic, I know it\'s not high quality, great artwork, but was totally fun to do for .info fans, so here\'s Sgt. Breakfast:

Tell you what, you produce a ballin poster for The Breakfast that people are def gonna want, and I\'ll get a **** ton of copies printed on proper quality printing press on the house for the merch table and hopefully online sales as well.
Same goes for Aruny, your ****\'s too limited edition man. You know people are dyin for fresh merch and love your ****. Send me high res files or something I can scan and we\'ll get some merch poppin.
Or whoever wants to put the effort and talent into this really. Not gonna front though, if I think its kind of a hack job I\'m not gonna waste my money getting it printed :P

would probably sell well as reprints, I bet newer fans would eat these up and old timers who missed grabbin em would probably dig a second chance at them. But gotta get way higher res stuff than that to work from :)

I bought a cheapo target frame for it. But it really needs a nice mat.
There were posters for the Puppet show run as well

I personally would like access to the original layered high res files of the new logo on http://www.thebreakfast.org so I can create posters for upcoming shows ... it\'s important to have a single logo and give it some life span! I happen to really like this new logo so IMO it should be "official" and used exclusively from now on to improve brand recognition.
Unless people are creating Aruny-style hand drawn art, I believe they should probably use the new official logo on any printed material designed to promote the band.
edit:: okay I\'m in pursuit of the high res layered working file for the new logo, hopefully to the delight of the graphically inclined Breakfast fans among us :)

is there any breakfast art work out there? posters? wallpapers, cool stuff? i currently am a senior studying visual communication, simply put graphic design. gonna try and make some cool stuff and post it here. if theres any other stuff out there post it here i guess. itd be tight to see some t shirt designs and posters and stuff. still listening to the album for like the 4th time. ill be around.
They had a pretty cool poster for the 2007 NYE Run... I have it somewhere stashed away, in the midst of moving my belongings are in an upheaval. If I can dig it out, I take a picture and upload it here for you.
