Also, can we start getting the setlists up on the front page again? Its pretty ghetto and I am too lazy to poke and prod around the threads to find them.

I would think it\'s easy enough to grant admin privileges to a few people here, like Matt Vallo, Fitzy, Diana... at least to keep the site current. I don\'t blame Dave for having other interests in life or being tired of running this site, but it still does matter for a lot of people and it would be a pretty easy thing to do.

Love you guys! Thank you for playing these shows.

Through all of the toils, the trials and the tribulations, the music shines on triumphantly.

Did Jordan get down with Shakedown? Tunage?

Jesus freakin christ i forgot if this was .info or gossip girl.

mayfly was awesome. there was an  overabundance of creepy old dudes in tyedyes and nobody else from here. Didn\'t pay a penny. If I was camping, staying for the weekend.. I probably would have. It\'s a good cause, I am just a broke ass **** right now.

Ole Man Gencs managed to get Anna Liffeys up... if that helps!    But then you\'re talking about Breakfast shows not Tim solo acoustic... ahhh well, I guess everything\'s Weaksauce lately excepting, of course, the music, which is what\'s important, and the few fans that try to keep it nice \'round here.  Just keep kickin\' it Gaboooo style up there in New Hampsha... I\'m sure it\'ll show up sooner or later.  Much love Beeroseph!

If the Breakfast play a show in the woods, and there\'s no one there to hear it, do they make a sound?

Yes.  Everything that vibrates the air creates the potential for sound, regardless of what conscious being is there to perceive it.  If there is no ear, microphone or other means to turn those vibations into sound, then it could not exist as sound, only vibration.  But since the band is playing eight ears are there to turn those vibrations into what we know as sound... but they probably wouldn\'t get payed.

The entrance fee was based on a suggested donation.
They have to pay the bands with the entrance money.
I went for the day, gave 25 bucks.Brought my own brew and
still got off cheaper than if I caught a bar show.
It\'s a nice mini fest that could be fun if you went.
I don\'t know what all this neg. huff is about!
The Breakfast did a great set. The other bands were also
good and fun at what they do.The crowd seemed mellow and
just wanted to drink, smoke, eat, laugh, play with their kids...

There is NO negativity in The Breakfast. These guys just love to play together.
If you dig what they do, then come on out.
If you don\'t, then find something else to do!

Umm, you mean 1992-04-16? Or else WTF are you talking about.

In other news, I happen to enjoy the sarcastic ball breaking atmosphere here at .info. Then again I love to argue with people over some random **** and then have a beer with them when it comes time for a show.

Or was it that you were referring to 1994-05-13? To be fair to modern times I reckon 2009-07-31 could qualify as well ;)

I agree.  For people who claim, peace love and happiness, there is a lot of disgruntled, sarcastic cruel comments thrown about.  Sometimes I think this site would scare away more new fans than keep them.

Maybe I am still all in the no worries, calm attitude of the hawaiian people no one wants to hear about....but i feel like some of you need to jump on a plane and soak in their vibes.

life is too short to get your panties in a bind over such simple things.

Dude, it\'s not mandatory to go to every show. And especially lame to **** at Ren cuz I see the guy at the majority of the shows I go to.

It\'s probably easy to criticize considering you\'re in California, so you almost always have a great excuse not to go.

Fact is an hour long time slot from 5:00-6:00pm for $40 or whatever it was isn\'t exactly all that compelling to most of us. I\'m sure they impressed the crowd that was there anyway.

Besides that there are a bunch of full length normal price & time shows coming up in the area... most of which I\'m going to attend and I bet you I\'ll see Ren at least at a few of these.

So ahh, maybe pick your battles with the real slackers?

It was a free show unless you wanted to donate $40 I guess.

Anyway this is not really a battle.
It\'s funny anyone responded in the first place to my rant.

hmmm leith, let\'s see most of us, who still see the band despite, work, growing up, having kids, getting married or whatever, have been seeing the band with all their ups and downs, tough times, equipment theft, lineup changes, future uncertainties, debt, and giving up on recording/writing new songs so they basically play the same 20 songs over and over with the occasional, "ser bustouts," here and there, but still manage to play it so hard and heavy that you don\'t get bored, anywhere from 5-9+ years.  with many of us seeing them well over a hundred, or in some cases 200 times.  we have sacrificed as much as our lives allow, told as many people as we could about them, spent small fortunes when a lot of us couldn\'t afford it, and driven countless hours all for them.  even if it meant being in the middle of nowhere with half the bar leaving at set break and only having the dedicated who drove to see them left.

Blah blah ya so what? I have spent thousands of dollars and traveled cross country more than once for these guys.
Try again.

This has nothing to do with the band they DID what they were supposed to do. You guys failed not them.

so all i can say in defense of the "weaksauce," or whatever b\'fam showing for an over priced middle of the nowhere show that features talent that i can only assume can\'t hold a candle to the b\'fast\'s, only for them to play like an hour on a weekend where some people may have plans with friend\'s and family they haven\'t seen in a while, is quite simply but i\'m sure by your truly unreachable standards, uninspired or intelligent, is **** off.  you don\'t know us.

Yeah OK fucktard. That has to be your only defense because you don\'t have one unless you live outside of CT.

the Breakfast was off the HOOK........I tried telling people last week to try and not miss out on any gig done at SpinRay and Dawns, there can really not be a more ideal, totally chill scene. And yes, if you dont have the street address it can be a **** to find, (I think they had a solitary balloon out on the driveway entrance but that was it.) but that is also what keeps things cool and running there. At the beginning of June at Spinstock there was close to 1000 people there on Saturday and things got a little crazy.

Highlight for me was standing right behind Jordan and Adrian during Mayfly and the awesome cover of Question.  Gotta tell you that Adrian can thump those skins, but you all know that.

Would like to have some more Breakfast fans there as they would have had a blast in that scene, but the Breakfast definitely made the the people already there lifetime fans, and that is what it is about, right?

Thanks Jordan for sitting in with us, you sounded great as usual. You and Geoff tear it up together.

Peace, Jeff

Drove around Wolcott for 2 hours, couldn\'t find it. I didn\'t have the street # on me and there was no sign of anything going on.

there was no sign of anything going on from the street because they did it right and kept it hidden and had no tresspassing signs at the beginning of the driveway. would have been impossible for anyone without the address # to know where to go. you should have had your cell phone on because i called you at 6:30 just before pulling in.

it was a bigger fest than i expected, but i couldnt believe this was a CT show and no breakfast fans came.

mayfly jam was the highlight and stl jam was ser. everyone who missed it blew it. they had a pretty nice setup there. if they ever do this again and invite the breakfast back no one should miss it.

up the hill and then a right, quick left. Over on the right was a
little curve and bingo you\'re there!
I got a GPS! Punched in my destination and bingo I was there!
Nice little fest! Good people ,music, weather.
Brought a 12 pack of sierra nevada.
The Breakfast did a set of Weird Beard tunes!

Umm. I didn\'t go and I didn\'t really have any serious plans either. Seemed a bit of a drive for a 1 hour time slot.

However I think within the next two months or so there\'s probably something like half a dozen shows I\'m going to be at. Let It Roll > Branstock > Sullys is the intent, for one..

On top of it all, I\'m sure there\'s a lot of traffic to battle and scarce parking options in the backwoods of Monroe, CT.

I couldn\'t give a care less what your **** poor excuses are.

Yeah it\'s a holiday weekend and what better way to celebrate than to get down to some SER Breakfast?

You hate Monroe? Oh well that\'s fine and dandy but I doubt the **** city coffers would have really benefited from your visit but I\'m damn positive that the guys in the band would have LOVED to have seen some support in the form of familiar smiling faces.

Just saying why would anyone want to hire this band when they can\'t even get people out to a "free"(donations suggested) fest in their own state?

Come ON! It\'s not like CT is that big of a state and this fest has been known about for awhile.

WEAKSAUCE B\'FAM WEAK

i have a shocking statement to make.....

there is more to life than The Breakfast.

That\'s not weak sauce.   We all work.  We all play.  We all do things beyond shows.  Life is a wild ride, and you take it as it comes, and you go where you go.  Being fans means if we go to one show a year or if we go to 15.   If you buy the tunes, spread the word, you are doing your part. Bitching from California that we CT\'ers are doing enough isn\'t constructive.

I talk The Breakfast up on at least a weekly basis.  Sure, i dont show my smiling face but my lips speak.   Example, I was in Lahaina, Maui waiting for Mark to pay for gas and I was listening to some live breakfast on my ipod that i brought with my little portal device for the jeep.....so surfer kid passes by asks what is that...i tell him...tell him to check them out on the site.  he says stuff sounds pretty cool.  Maybe that kid spreads the word.  who knows.  or maybe he gets high and surfs all day and forgets all that matters is the word was spread.

First off I\'m not trying to be constructive. I\'m bitching that out of a 3 **** day holiday weekend you all can\'t find the time to get at least a couple of you to this show?

****! If you live in CT and call yourself a Breakfast fan you should have found the time simple as that in my mind. All they asked for was a few hours at the beginning of the weekend. You think I\'m wrong so what?

Secondly, guess what? Showing at a fest goes alot farther than telling some surfer in **** Hawaii about the band.

We all talk up the band most on a daily basis probably but with the small amount of shows lately it would be more help to actually go to any show possible but I understand you have more important things to do.

That\'s great for you just don\'t be surprised when posting on the band\'s fan site your excuses when you get blasted by a pissed off fan \'cross the country.

The date(s) are actually Sept 5 and 6 (Labor Day weekend), not the 9th, which is a Wed.
Also on the bill are Wave Ryder (one of Sammy B\'s bands) and Matt Miklus (Hubinger St) and Friends.
One fine weekend of CT jambands in the great oudoors of Monroe!

fixed, thanks!
