Finally got to a computer to post...had a blast at this show, couldnt have asked for a better set list. Mooboos was the peak of the show for me, ive been waiting to hear it for so long.
It seriously choked me up.
-
i may be able to post set lists. haven\'t tried. i\'m afraid of **** up notations! (really.) i\'ll see tonight when i get home and if i can post then i will update the last few.

dave should change the forum settings and at least let jimcobb, frankzappa, and galenas, and pitchie post setlist threads. if he doesnt trust anyone other than himself to get the space city affairs correctly labeled and asterisks in proper notation then he should keep it somewhat up to date. or let fans fend for themselves and post threads in the food for thought forum. we do have moderators here if someone screws up really bad.
I agree with you... Truth is, if someone really wanted to post a setlist, they could do what I did when I put the mass setlists up and post them in TGSOT forum...
yes they could, but only dave is allowed to post the in the setlist forum where all the setlists are archived.
if dave has no interest in this site anymore he should give it to the band, have them start paying for it, and then move the site to thebreakfast.net/.org and integrate the forums into their official web site. basically how http://www.tealeafgreen.com is set up. then make all band members and other players in their side projects admins that can post dates in the chase forum/calendar. it would probably take a lot of work but it would be a good plan to get the official site going again, and get side project info on it this time around, and also keep the setlists and calendar up to date.
Before people get the wrong idea, why not hold judgement until Dave actually speaks for himself... The fact that this is basically the only site besides myspace doesn\'t say much for the band\'s interest in getting the information out to fans... I\'m not sure what the deal is with the official site, but that\'s really not the fan\'s responsibility to maintain; that\'s why this is a fan site....
fair enough. for all i know dave could login tomorrow and update the site.
I think that everyone is really getting too touchy because a couple setlists were missed...[/COLOR]
the calendar is the important thing. camp barefoot wasnt even added to the calendar until last week. the lineup was officially announced back in march, but we\'ve known about the breakfast playing it since last year. its not like the breakfast are that far south very often. it would be nice if people down there googleing the breakfast for info could find it on the pages its supposed to be on. only takes 1 minute to make a post, so why screw around and wait til the last minute?
This question can be applied to everything Breakfast.

if diana wasnt recently given privileges to add dates to the .info calendar to help tim out then the calendar would be completely blank except for family jam. with the official site being down this is all the band has besides facebook. there are def other people on here that would be willing to help pick up the slack, they just need to be given the privileges in the forums.
Again, I agree with you, but there "are" a handful of people that could be doing the same thing, but aren\'t...

Sorry, I call it like I see it... For almost 10 years he\'s essentially been a volunteer employee devoting personal time, effort and funds and everyone is cracking wise because there\'s a couple missed official setlists...

DBLock your posts suck consistantly.......The above post is no different.....

you didn\'t even include the name of the venues.
that\'s soft, yoda.

Seriously... Can the other Admins or Mods put the official setlist up or is it set up that he can only post the setlists? If it\'s not the latter, then there\'s it can\'t all sit on one guys shoulders... Just looking quickly, this year, official setlists have been added by davepeck, Jim Cobb, ChrisPitch and FrankZappa. So ask those other 3 guys why the other setlists aren\'t up... If you\'re going to knock the guy for taking it easy for a month or so, just take that away from the years that he drove to and recorded a majority of the shows for everyone to download on archive.org. And let us not forget pfans and .info...
For those too lazy to search the site for setlists, here\'s 4 that aren\'t up:
7/17/09
Set I: Doughboy, Beef Barley, Puppetry, Rufus, Peacefrog
Set II: The Chase, Tribal Funk Affliction, , You Enjoy Myself, The Vermont Song, The Grand Scheme of things
E: Taboo or Not Taboo
7/18/09
Jam > Rain(the Beatles, just the refrain) > Buquebus, Earache My Eye > Synergy, Escher\'s 1,2,4 > Tunage > Funky Bill\'s Circus Cliche, Overexposure
7/25/09
Jam > Hard Luck Harry > Cut Me Some Slack, May Fly Disarray
8/7/09
Set I: Jam > Superfly Phaddy Phat, Rufus > Vermont Song, Gravity
Set II: Jam > Hard Luck Harry, Puppetry, Mooboos Voodoo (Episode 2)
I didn\'t include 7/31 or 8/1 because you can download them...

where is the official setlist for this?
we don\'t do that kinda **** around here anymore. just look around for the unofficial one.
ha....indeed......it seems the captain has jumped ship.
well, all joking aside, remember it\'s that same capitan that\'s paying the bills to keep the site online...
everyone make sure to click on the ads! (like, seriously...)
how much does it cost to get my daily breakfast fix?
more than the breakfast nets in a year from shows

set1 jam>superfly phaddyphat, rufus, vermont song, gravity honeybutter
set 2 jam>hlh, puppetry, mooooooooobooooooooooooooooooooooos
unfortunatly no encore
this is an unofficial drunken remeberance of a setlist and i felt like i heard about 5 maylfy teases but who knows
That\'s about as good as you\'re gonna get. I was there and can\'t say I disagree, except for maybe I heard a few more "oooo" in Eppy 2. But overall I\'d say this is pretty accurate.

yes, yes that\'s it. i don\'t recall not wearing a hat a show since like \'01 when i cut all my hair off.
-
sorry it was just boring. i looked forward to it. it was good. just not great. that\'s all i\'ve got.
must have been b/c you weren\'t rocking a hat. maybe you felt a bit out of balance.
-

I must have been at a different show, or maybe in a different world.
Though I have only been coming (back) around for (exactly) a year now, second set was probably my favorite set I have seen.
Haven\'t ever gotten down so seriously during the first song of a show, i was sweating bullets after superphaddy. Not usually crazy about gravity but Tuna is right, it went some crazy places and it was pretty damn sweet when it came back around. Hands down, my favorite honey butter ( pole work was even involved).
Didn\'t know what the hell was going on with that dancy jam that opened the second set, but i knew i liked it and oh what a treat when it dropped into that hard luck.
And yes, puppetry. Thank you, Tim Palmieri. Thank you, Breakfast. Creepy, bizzare, dirty as hell ! Nice and long, rocked my freakin world.
Mooboo\'s was nothing like it\'s cousin from toad\'s. Ren is correct, trippy and all over the place; and i like.
I was fine with no encore after what I had just witnessed.
It was wonderful rockin with all you fantastic folks, as always ! xoxo
-
There was definitely a 2001 tease from Chris in the Puppetry, not to mention a very 2001ish jam for a while there too. Great show. Loved the Rufus > VT and the jams to open the sets, sick stuff. HLH and Mooboo\'s were crazy as well. Can\'t wait to hear it again!

i had so much fun last night from start to finish. thanks zuke for the ride (i\'m sticking w/ the road head theory..) and to everyone for the great vibes all around. my family is going through a tough time right now but it\'s the bfam love that gets me through it time after time. long live the breakfast!
ps, loved the new heads out last night! real energized. and young blood, too. i felt quite cougish when i learned i was dancing w/ a dude who was a few months shy of 21.

first set was real snoozer for me, kinda felt like i was going through the motions, i don\'t know what my problem was, i was looking forward to it all week, who knows.
obviously hlh, puppetry, mooboo\'s was no fuckin joke. i liked the way instead of being the, as you people say, dance-party, mooboo\'s was more trippy and all over the place.
that is all.
maybe you half assed your attendance like you half assed this review
that is all.
-
had a blast last night! just what i needed.
igz i agree on all of your highlights. the gravity was an unplayed encore request from TT on thursday, so was very psyched to get that.
the second set jam > hlh had to have been at least half an hour. i kept listening thinking i had missed them going into something, but nope!
-
lol anyone else drive like 3 hours outta the way on the ride home....
thanks PB4Lyfe for doggin me statie style I was like damn this cop is hard to shake maybe my drivings *too good* ??
Retrospectively I think this show will come thru the tapes as mostly strange with moments of unusual glory. Puppetry jam was surprising, seemingly built out of thin air. Gravity hit some wild places before bringing it back around. Mooboos was beautiful to bask in, been a while since I\'ve had the pleasure :)
K time to wake up and rage saturday, pleasure to see you all again
-
and that\'s why we go. we all seem to get something different from them, but the end result seems to be more or less the same. looking forward to the next one.
-
2nd set was fire!
-
i thought just the opposite. dug the first set, esp the queebed up rufus, nice approach to that jam. gravity is always a plus in my books.
second set just seemed kinda disjointed and never flourished the way it should have. the jam leading into hlh may have been the highlight of the set.
-

Interesting correlation since leagues are a measure of horizontal distance. Sea depth is measured by fathoms. Jules Verne prefered leagues over fathoms as a word when naming his book though. Technically it makes no sense to say leagues under the sea.

i know, i just wanted to see you clarify. the only reason i do know is from that SNL skit back in the day.

Breakfast is on fiyah like the inner core of the sun
sorry, but this quote bugs me and I feel the need to say the following:
1. Fires start when a flammable and/or a combustible material with an adequate supply of oxygen or another oxidizer is subjected to enough heat and is able to sustain a chain reaction. This is commonly called the fire tetrahedron. Fire cannot exist without all of these elements being in place (though as previously stated, another strong oxidizer can replace oxygen).
2. The suns core has a density of up to 150,000 kg/m? (150 times the density of liquid water) and a temperature of close to 15,000,000 kelvins (by contrast, the surface of the Sun is close to 6,000 kelvins). The core is made of hot, dense gas in the plasmic state.
Point, there is only one core of the sun, unlike the earth. the core of the sun has no sustainable fire (or fiyah) by definition. There simply no space for it to combust. Instead it\'s just plasma in there; moltent metals that are in a fusion state which expells the base elements out into the secondary tear (radioactive zone). Even here it is still too hot and limited for fire in your definition to be sustained. A flame could not logically hold itself until you reached the convection zone.
so,
Breakfast is creating elements like the cno cycle of the suns core
[/B]
Breakfast is creating elements like the suns proton-proton chain
[/B]
Breakfast is on fiyah like the convection zone of the sun
[/B]
Breakfast is on fiyah like the photosphere (surface) of the sun
[/B]
Breakfast has been jamming for so long that they\'ve become combustible.
[/B]
sorry. bored.

This may a silly Q, but do you think I could make it on time for TB? I\'d be driving from Albany around 10pm...
If you drive at 120mph, yes.
-
R.a.g.e.r.
-
THis is going to be a tough one...
should i do The Field/Sully\'s weekend or scratch that for Mill St. From what i remember Southbridge was a blast in May or April or whenever that last show was
why not all 3? if i had to choose i would definitely take 2 shows over 1 show. plus the drive after mill st. won\'t be as easy as it used to be (no uconn to stay at).
