Too drunk to rent a bike and too fat to rent a tandem.

"Too drunk for a moped.  Too fat for a tandem."  to be precise.....

I am thinking about this trip.

That is by far, one of my fondest memories of the weekend. Seeing stevie wandering around all upset right after they denied him, priceless.

Whatever you do, dont order a "topper" on your bacon egg and chee.  You will have to apply for a small loan....

and just because two of you are half in the bag it doesn\'t equal 1 sober enough person to rent a bike for 2.... oh and bring your bug spray if your sleeping on the beach, those sand flees are a mofo!

if you\'re going to do the island on the cheap you need to get like 20 people in a room with sleeping bags. or, find a secluded beach to pass out on and hope the cops don\'t come all night.

I just did nantucket for a race and with a discount, the best rate on the island was $210 for one night. Split a room so it was really $105, but still. that\'s just how it is. they know they\'ve got you.

all the rooms i checked out are max capacity 8...and that isn\'t even the least expensive when divided 8 ways.  The best deals seem to be the 3 person $179/night rooms.

It\'s a vacation spot, not just a hotel to crash in after a show.  Expect vacation prices, but also a great 3 days vacation experience too.  All things considered, it\'s pretty reasonable.

$120/night per person sounds expensive. can\'t i just pass out in an alley somewhere for free?

yeah...block island ain\'t cheap.  I found some rooms for $99/night w/ 1 double bed.  Also found $139/night w/ 2 beds.  I am going regardless of what ends up happening with the facebook event.  We\'ll know in about 2 weeks

HELLO EVERYBODY

Summer is 1/2 way over and it is time to start looking forward to the fall...but not quite yet...

Introducing the First Annual BOX ISLAND END OF SUMMER BLOWOUT! The Indobox will be playing Block Island on August 26th and 27th @ Captain Nick\'s. This is your last chance to take a vacation before the summer weather ends and the leaves start changing colors.

This is still in the planning stages, but the goal is to rent a couple apartments or a couple of rooms and enjoy a few days soaking up the sun by day and getting down by night.

Rooms need to be booked ASAP and ferry tickets need to be reserved.

There are rooms/apts available that sleep 2, 4, 6, and 8. THe rooms will runs about $120-$150/night per person.

We will be leaving from New London, CT on the High Speed Ferry. ROund trip tickets are $48/person (there is also a $10 fee if you are bringing a bike on board)

THere will be a follow-up to this page with the exact details, but this is just to gauge initial interest. If you are interested I need to be contacted no later than Friday July 24th so we can book the appropriate room. Please let me know via facebook event page, email, or cell.

I hope we can pull this together, but please only respond if you are seriously interested. I\'d love to have everyone out there, but we need confirmed numbers to book the appropriate housing.
