Post by: bdfreetuna on May 30, 2009, 09:45:51 am: Yoo Ellis. Fair \'nuff. But I also call it like I see it and I\'ve seen PB > current day Breakfast in every formation there\'s been. I don\'t think I have to tell the band everything they do is 100% great because obviously they\'re my favorite band and I really **** enjoy music. It\'s their own fault for setting such epic standards for themselves by being the best damn band I ever heard (most of the time ;) ) :shrug:

And seeing Stoops made me almost as depressed as when I heard Phish was going to break up in 2004.

I know the dude was tryin hard to keep up but my ramblings are intended to be taken as more of a ser props to Sequoia than a dump on Stoops. I\'m pretty sure I acted dick or depressed at least after I saw Stoops play. But whatever, that\'s in the past. My favorite band is now better than they ever have been so yackity yack don\'t look back.

We were on tour up until 4 days before the shows, they had very little time to rehearse and lets not forget just how many songs the guy had to learn. Not only a bunch of crazy bfast songs, but all those rediculous cartoon themes. Could it have turned out better? Of course, but lets take it easy here. He jumped head first into some crazy **** and pulled it off better than most other muscians would have considering the circumstances.

Post by: jking on May 29, 2009, 03:53:10 pm: i actually liked stoops\' syncopation. its not jordan\'s swirling organ (band name!), but i still liked it. made the keys much more a part of the rhythm section. don\'t get me wrong, i prefer jordan, but i also had no real problem with stopps, either...

Jordan on keys is proper breakfast. Stoops is good but its no comparison.

Post by: liveforlive on May 29, 2009, 01:19:46 pm: I was just looking through the Breakfast\'s myspace page and noticed they mentioned they would be playing with Stoops from RAQ on the keys...was this a temporary thing that I missed and is now out of date or is it planned for the future? I am just curious because he is one of my favorite ivory ticklers and myspace profiles tend to be out dated more often than not. Please! Fill me in!
