it was my brother\'s first festival, and his first breakfast.
mind = BLOWN
the recording sounds great too, one of the best so far, but nothing compares to actually being packed in that cabin while it\'s in outer space.
-
Dude it seemed like way the hell more than 40 ppl in that cabin. No? Really?
Well I am terrible at guesstimating crowds but if I had to go from memory about how much floor space is in those cabins I would say 40 people + the stacks and band/gear.
The cabins are really tiny tho. the crowd outside was easily 2x as large.
Looking at the google sat image I would say the cabin is 50ft x 20ft or so.

-
what was the cabin\'s capacity?
it is probably 40 people packed maybe less. They are really small cabins you would expect to see at boy scout type camp. maybe 5 or 6 bunk beds could fit in there.
-
hints heard in mayfly = tom sawyer and my sharona
-
they raged soo hard this one i havnt heard a strange creek show this good since 9/17/05 when they played gravity>phattyboombatty>gravity>phattyboombatty. then scarlet begonias **** sick boy keep it upp
my b 9/17 is a wormtown show but its basically the same
-
what was the cabin\'s capacity?
not nearly enough. stood outside behind adrians window most the night. way more people ragin outside the cabin than inside. wook central

I hope your heart is in good condition for when you see Gladys dropped live :D
Leith I think Breakfast upped the ante last weekend so I might have to start playing a different tape for people. If you wanna buy me the soundboard matrix I\'ll be sure to use that one ;)
-
Yeah man, it\'s hard not to fall ass over tea kettle for these guy after seeing then rage it at Strange Creek...
...also, I\'ve been listening to 6/10/05 like a fiend lately. Gladys Pimp And Kangaroos With Me>Willie the Pimp is out-****-standing.
I have recruited quite a bit of my friends to the cause as well friends. See you at Harpers!
-
Leith I was obviously there.
And yeah it\'s probably some of the sickest **** I ever saw (and listened to once last night and twice again today) :P
And whatever, I\'ve turned on more ppl with that Iron Horse show than any tape ever. So they musta done something right that night. Double :P to you!
I know I know. The thing I find funny abt that recording/show for me is in 10 years that is going to be regarded as one of the shows to have due to your diligence in promoting it and the fact that the show really does kick some butt but the recording is less than stellar.
It totally reminds me of a few tapes I went through hoops and hoops to get of both GD and Phish at one time due to the same kind of fan hubbub.
I don\'t argue your veracity of the playing that night other than I personally have heard better shows to me.

I\'ve like never seen someone get so into a band as quick as Live4Life ... what was it ... a tape of last Iron Horse show? I been tellin\' y\'all **** off the wall :D
Pffft you probably sleep w/ a copy under your pillow.
Have you heard this Strange Creek set? If you were a first timer at this one you would be having the same reaction as liveforlive.

Defiantly one of the best shows I\'ve seen, couldn\'t have asked for a better set list. They had the crowd really raging in and around the cabin. I didn\'t have that much trouble working my way into a cabin the whole festival. The only downside was that they couldn\'t have played longer, but they made the best of what time they did have!
Agreed, though I did have a bit of a struggle getting in to the cabin as it was a tight fit. Luckily I have squeezed into smaller venues for lesser bands.
Outside was still bumping though for sure...I\'m looking forward to Harpers for show number 2.
Harper\'s is going to be only your second show?
Bring a defibrillator.

The matrix sounds sweet. Listened through to the beginning of mayfly on my ride to work this morning.
There was a big bus fire so I got to enjoy some extra music time.
-
i\'ve seen like a million rufus openers ;)
but that was by far the best one!
For my first b.fast show, this one was a killer. Im more than happy you talked my buddy into heading down to Strange Creek for that one...
...Roots of Creation played shortly after them, and seeing them back to back was probably some of the best shows all weekend.
yay! for roots of creation.. :)

Hell yea dude!

When I spoke to Rob Clarke he said he would be uploading his AUD copy of the show to archive. Surprised it isn\'t there yet as Rob is a machine when it comes to that stuff.
I guess if you want the matrix you can get it from http://www.digitalsoundboard.net
-
Could someone let me know when this show is up for DL, or if it is, where I can snag it? I was checking archive but it doesn\'t seem to be kicking around there just yet.
Thanks!
-

i went my 1st 14 shows without even seeing a rufus at all

only rufus opener ive ever heard was at iron horse halloween this past year
and camp creek 2001 (on CD)
-
audio would be mighty tasty. would have made it if it was posted on the calender but i guess... well i don\'t really know why it wasn\'t. would have paid top dollar to hear a Rufus opener. for harpers ferry the breakfast should charge what phish is charging for tix prices and phish should charge breakfast tix prices. LOL.
-
those must have all been monster versions
-
Me too. Mayfly\'s been one of my faves since Day 1.
-
I: Rufus > May Fly Disarray > Tunage, Wild Pack Of Asscracks
-
i\'m still pretty owned by that mayfly dissaray. i thought it was gonna be just another mayfly, but it ended up being the best jam i\'ve ever seen them do. took me to \'notha level as klout would say. never been a huge fan of the song but this was out of control. i dont think enough can be said about it
REALLY? i\'ve felt this song right from the get go

that was utter ridiculousness!
-
didnt even venture into the packed cabin. watched the set from outside 2 feet behind adrian thru the screen widow and was ownd. didnt miss a beat from where i was! after his layin it down break beat style at toads, i wanted to be all over it. this was it.. could hear Tim,Danglis,Branch, no problem, but was hovering over every fill by the animal, and that **** was nuts
Ser intense energy= had by all!
-
can\'t wait to hear this!
Its a good thing this was taped.... these 3 songs put the last 2 months of Breakfast to shame. This would be like Island Tour not getting taped or something. Total fire. Like the inner blue part of the flame that\'s super super hot.
-
can\'t wait to hear this!
-
There was badass **** happening all morning. Too bad it ended when it did.... Should have greeted the morning air with song, but whatevah........Rufus and Mayfly were over an hour together.....ser biz
-
That may have been the best Breakfast I\'ve ever seen played. Good to see Tim on his feet again!
Rufus = possibly best I\'ve seen
Mayfly = ser contender
Tunage = way up there that\'s for sure
Wild Pack = <3 , but ****, over already?
Epic, thank you Breakfast. Keep playing @ Wormtown because honestly I will probably never go back there unless you do.
def good to see Tim back on his feet. Mayfly was my highlight. peeps were fuckin packed in that little cabin like sardines.
