Well, you could **** yourself out to 1,000 fat chicks for $50 apiece. Or 50 really fat chicks for $1,000. What? Don\'t look at me like that. Fat chicks need love, too. But they got to pay.

I kind of like his idea.

Ser, though, best of luck on the job front, Cobbo.

Jim, sorry you got let go.  Join the club,  I have been out for 3 weeks and have nothing lined up for full time work.  Lets start a small audio/video live music production business.  It\'s all about networking and making connections with people.  Do what you love, thats been my motto as of late.

sounds like an awesome idea.

im interning at a startup investment banking firm right now and i can\'t exactly say it\'s exactly what i love.... i really would rather start up my own record label/agency. just don;t have the balls.

I was an associate producer.  This basically entailed calling a whole bunch of ad agency people who\'d rather spend peanuts on a shitty stock track than actually use music that will help sell their product.  On the rare occasion, we\'d get a job, I\'d produce the job.

Before that, I was the company\'s head engineer at our studio.

Also, I\'ve recently become a certified hypnotist.  So if anyone wants to quit smoking, lose weight, or pretty much anything else your subconcious mind is giving you a hard time with, please PM me.

Work up your own client base, build relationships, and eventually you\'ll have your own business. Sounds simple enough, right?

Seriously tho, I think now is the best time to start something new and dramatic. With the economy, esp. music industry in the shitter, something fresh needs to be created to revamp music. I just don\'t know what that is.

What were you doing at your old job Jim? I\'m just curious.

So I lost my job today.  Original music for advertising is a dying business and the company I\'ve worked for the past 5 years is closing its doors.

That said....

Anyone who knows any bands looking for a producer or mix engineer, please send some work my way.  I can supply a work reel to anyone who wants one.  I can work out of a GREAT studio in Somers, NY.  We can track pretty much anything but live piano there, although I have a place we can overdub a Steinway D if need be.

You can read about the studio in a mix magazine article here:
http://mixonline.com/sound4picture/facilities/audio_jim_roberts_brandon/
and you can PM me or email me at RightOnMusic (at) gmail .dot. com for my reel.

I WILL WORK WITHIN YOUR BUDGET TO GET YOU NOT ONLY THE BEST SONIC QUALITY, BUT THE BEST RECORDED REPRESENTATION OF YOUR CREATIVE GENIUS.
