PM me what you\'ve got because it doesn\'t look like I\'ll be hitting any of the shows currently on the schedule...

well there\'s a shocker! and i was looking forward to meeting you.

Whats the word on getting some merch to my house for the show on the 21st. Gonna be a lot of newbs and no one is paying to get in, just for beer so merch would probably be a good idea. I think stublatt said he was going to make sure Sammy brought some. And I know there a few breakfast cd\'s i still need to buy.

Besides agreeing with Gaboo\'s \'right place/wrong time\' read, stublatt has neither said - nor has even close to the authority to have anything to do with merchandising Breakfast clothing.  In other words - leave me out of this!!!!! - If the drummer and bassist of Sanimadoozy (ha ha) want to offer that kind of stuff to you guys, then it\'s all good, right?!?!?  And, no one supports the continued success of TB more than the Blatt family.  Period.

But, for what it\'s worth, 4/21 \'stands on it\'s own\' with the NH gypsy contingency, and late April birthdays are xtra embraced this night.
BTW - stublatt recommends that you guys request "Viola Lee Blues" from the 4/21 power trio extravaganza.  Better yet, you let them know yourselves - twitter/.facebook/myspace/text/msg/e-mail/VM.  ****, that\'s a guaranteed 38 minutes of "faceMELT"!!!

Oke-moguls and Easter \'09 - thanks to that!

its not a breakfast show dude.  that would be like selling real radio at a good time boys show

As long as the opportunity is there for purchase i don\'t see the issue. Not like the guys have any personal material yet any way. Any exposure for the breakfast or any side project is certainly needed. When are these moderator elections so i can create a virus to burn every ballot for Gabo?

apparently fitzy called for pre sale tickets around 4 and was told that presale ends at 3pm, so he asked for a full price ticket and was told that they were not selling via box office after 3pm, you have to get it at the door. Fitz said he doesn\'t have cash and can only go if he can order it now or pay by credit at the door and was told, nope, door is cash only, if you don\'t bring cash you can\'t go and was hung up on. hence, fitzy is doing weird beards and staying in ct tonight when he was planning on going to the show.

- via vallo

I mean, seriously, does this place not want business? how do you justify that kind of thing? :wah:

How much does IHEG take for merch sales?  What a bunch of **** taking money from band trying to earn a few bucks. I\'ve never ever heard of that.

Previous outrage was Santa Monica\'s Temple Bar charging Wayne $50 for an audience recording in the venue.

Hope i\'ll be 100% for the gypsy hotel Shenanigans. Language of the gods would be nice, so would a frankly, and every epi.

Anyone know what time this show is slated to go until? FB says its 10-1?  Bars close that early in MA on a Friday nite?

in NoHo they do, it will be more like 10:15-30 to 12:45-50 by the time they let people in

I\'m pretty sure it\'s not all the bars, just the Iron Horse and of course The Calvin & maybe Pearl St. that close whenever the show\'s scheduled to end.  Last time I went they were tryin\' to get us out the door as soon as the show ended.  I recall, with no setbreak, not being in any shape to drive when the show ended without a second-set-sober-session... Slept in the car a while after staring at the police station across the way for a bit.  Ended up leaving N. Hmptn around 3:30 in the mornin\', but such is life at the Iron Horse...

Noho cops aint nothin to worry about. Just go the speed limit near the bowling alley if you\'re getting on RT 91 or staying at hotels on Rt 5 & 10.

Yeah Breakfast gets dece crowds @ Iron Horse but its just not quite enough to bump them up to Pearl St unless the show is pretty much sold out.

Keller got downgraded from Calvin to Pearl St last show. So they definitely try to get max capacity.

I like Iron Horse though. Except the waiting and douchy staff, its a classic venue.

ya, the police presence is kind of a pain but it is anywhere and NOHO is no exception. i only say to support Mill Street because no one ever ends up going and IH is almost always guaranteed to have a good crowd. and as far as a move to better venue... i\'ll believe it when the IH management announces it. we\'ve been bring in a pretty decent crowd into the IH for a while and still no change. i\'ll probably suck it up and go to IH but it always blows driving alone and my copilot moved to MA, damn you tyzack. but seeing as how it\'s Johnny Upstates "FINAL" show as a east coaster i might go.

alright this is getting off topic. i won\'t go to IH for my own reasons but i will support the Mill Street show which in my opinion needs WAY more heads per show and is ALOT headier venue

what makes mill street "headier?" the heady town of southbridge? the overeager police force? clearly, support is needed at both shows. but if i had to pick one, i\'d go with the iron horse. a consistenly good crowd at the iron horse means a step up (hopefully) to a better venue in noho (and there are many). and considering that IH management seems to have a monopoly on the venues in that town, i don\'t think a step up would be hard to accomodate.  a consistently good crowd at mill street means...another gig at mill street. don\'t get me wrong i love the shows there (and the drink prices). everything else is a big meh (at best)

NICE work Weekapauge!  i\'ve done it a **** load of times, standing in the rain, cold whatever but **** has to get done. i\'m not saying nobody does anything but everybody should do a little something. i\'ve personally just spent so much time and money on everything the past couple years and it seemed like nobody took advantage and it just burnt me out. I\'m glad there are still people like yourself and a couple others that are doing their part.

did anybody flier the Toad\'s UM show....... i mean there is a gig there on the 16th?

i dont understand why those of you who hate the venue don\'t just suck i up and support the band.  they have no shows booked after this month except for one at the end of june, and i dont see why they would want to add more dates if their fans wont see go see them strictly because of a bad experience with the venue.  regardless, i\'ll be there in full force to have one more show with my brother greg ellis under the belt before he heads out west.  the kid spent 4 years busting his balls for the band and us, and i think he deserves a great send off.  see you friday i really can\'t wait

Iron horse is always awesome. All the employees do seem to be a little uptight, and management could afford to remove the stick from their asses. I wish they would let us chill up in the balcony before the show or during the set break. Lastly regardless if the show is taped or not everyone should be making every effort to get to any show. If you can\'t, then we understand. But believe me i am still waiting on that audio from Harper\'s Ferry, and i was at that show!

Alcohol.... lol... with all the awesome substances available in the world it\'s beyond me why people throw down $40 to stand in line to take a **** all night and then feel like **** the next day.

because it\'s legal, unlike most of the substances to which you\'re probably referring. not saying i don\'t agree with you, but i\'m sure it\'s a big reason why.  i\'m guessing if i had a lot more to lose (ie family of my own, big important job, etc.) i would be less inclined to take a risk like that.  luckily, i don\'t :)

and if you do it right, a hangover shouldn\'t even be an issue...just stay away from the well drinks. in a place like this, sneaking a flask in probably wouldn\'t be too hard to do...hmmm

For towns of their size, dining in Amherst and Northampton is about as good as it gets, and it all lies within a few blocks in each town.

The criticisms of IHEG have been there since day 1.  The Breakfast always plays a great show there and it\'s a fun town so the benefits definitely outweigh the criticisms and constraints for most.

there are 10 iron horse shows on archive. is this a new development?

never had a problem with management.

my eyes are closed most of every show i go to anyway.

never had a problem getting a beer promptly.

guess that\'s why i\'ll probably be there on friday. i\'d rather see a show here than a toad\'s place any day of the week

These are just my personal experience. I am glad your experiences have been different.  I am going Friday with an open mind and an adjustment in my attitude and things will be fine.

1. They don\'t allow shows to be recorded.

and shouldn\'t this be reason #1 why people should absolutely attend this show. have we learned nothing???

If people are not going to a shows b/c they know it will be recored, that\'s just a shame. The recordings are for the fans that can\'t make it for what ever reason, especially the people that live far away.  It\'s a great way for everyone to be connected to the music and keep the interest alive.
Also, I am excited the band is finally going to selling high quality live shows. I think, this is equally important for their economic success.  It\'s all about finding the right balance to make the breakfast profitable.  It\'s nice to see this effort.

i don\'t understand the hate for this venue. i don\'t like standing in line before the show, but that\'s my only gripe.

1. They don\'t allow shows to be recorded.
2. The management has been uncooperative, rude and unprofessional on many occasions.
3. The light system consists of 4 cans
4. Takes 15 minutes to get a beer(understaffed)

A change in management would do this place good. but when you have a monopoly over the every act coming to Northampton, they can do what they want.

I am going to this show to support the breakfast. Even with all this venue bashing and past negativity, it\'s still going to be a great time!
